The AAPISTRONG Restaurant Fund of the National Asian Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce & Entrepreneurship (National ACE) seeks to provide grants directly to AAPI restaurant owners who have been impacted by Covid-19 throughout the United Sates. The AAPISTRONG Restaurant Fund will support restaurants in the worst of these unprecedented times where many are closed up for the good of our community, and we must give back to help them survive the worst of this pandemic. This is a new grant opportunity for struggling AAPI restaurants. When restaurants reopen or increase their capacity, we understand the difficulties, challenges, and costs that accompany this process. As we strive to return to normal business, National ACE looks forward to helping restaurants make this transition by providing them with additional resources. Grubhub is providing over $2 million donation to the National ACE AAPISTRONG Restaurant Fund, which will be used to support restaurant owners in their efforts to reopen or expand.
The National ACE AAPISTRONG Restaurant Fund will open for applications on August 3, 2021 and close on August 31, 2021, or until the application cap is hit (1,500 total, or 100 applications per region).
Eligibility Requirements
The business must be Asian American/Pacific Islander/Native Hawaiian (AAPI) majority-owned (at least 51%)
The business based in the United States
The business must have been operational in 2019
The business must be currently in operation
The business’s primary licensed activity is "the preparation and serving of food”
The business operates in a maximum of three locations (ineligible if operating in four or more locations)
