I was sold when I saw those bite marks. I have several of these. Ghost Black's been chewed-up by those bluefish now mixing-in with the occasional striped bass along the New Jersey Shore south of Seaside Heights. Reliable, taunting and swaying motion that evokes the movements of a panicked bait fish. Mullet were in the wash my past three visits and the blues were rolling on them right in the curl where the bulge breaks onto the sand. Scooped-up about four dozen fat, wriggling mullet for future use. Last trip, three days back, I had scoped-out a nice 'V' cut that was three feet deep with rips on both sides at low tide. As the tide came in there were blues and bass harassing those mullet and rainfish. Good lure and now's becoming the best time of the year to see action with these; though tomorrow it's supposed to be 80° on the shore with temperatures dropping-off by midweek. Water temperature is still pegged at 70°. When It does begin to cool down more bass will be passing through from up north of us; how long they'll linger is anyone's guess at this point.
