I think this is YZ's answer to daiwa salt pro bullet. Level sinking with the same swim action mouth. Both 2 1/8 except YZ is an inch shorter so I imagine it sinks faster. Why wouldn't it be good in the surf?
Stumbled across these and put them to immediate use - threw the 1 oz size across an inlet and crushed jacks, reds and trout…work this one anyway you want to, casts like a bullet.
This is the same as SP Bullet that was introduced by Daiwa many years ago. This is no good for the surf. That is why this lure never became popular among surfcasters. Yo-Zuri version is called "Hydro Monster Shot". This is NOT the latest and greatest. Monster Shot is the exact same lure as SP Bullet. What's old is new again. I'm sure you'll also get the same results in the surf, no fish, LOL!
Fished this today in heavy surf and worked great. Needed extra distance to get to outer bar out fished guys near me using Ava jigs
Monster shot any good for the surf ?

I caught many bass in the surf with these lures..
Don't show me that you caught bluefish with it, that proves nothing.
