Have had mine about a month and this almost 55yo is addicted. I got it because the moving meditation aspect immediately appealed to me (I love tai chi too.) And, as a hiker who is also a 9-5 desk monkey, I wanted something for my upper body to not feel so stiff. I have an octo-rope , two homemade ones and two slush on order. Love it!
Before the pandemic I started building my garage gym. I've been doing weights on and off for about 20 years so it was just all I knew. I don't like working out in gyms because I sweat a lot so kind of self conscious about that and I'm always rushing to wipe down everything I touch. But man is gym equipment expensive and does it take up space...oh yeah and it weighs a ton lol. So I got into walking and just listening to audio books and music and I really liked that and it was slow pace and I still lost a lot of weight (over 50lbs the last couple years paired with some diet cut backs) Now I'm moving into calisthenics. I was in the army so it kind of comes naturally - but I mean if it's good enough for the military it's probably good enough for average people. I love the idea of just using body weight and different angles to get a workout with gravity. I bought some rings and hang them from whatever and they're about as minimal as you can get. I don't need a gym or a special place to workout...I need the ground lol. It's also got a sense of mastery to it if you really get into it and the more complex holds and positions, like Yoga (which I think is also great). There's also no excuse not to do it, just like walking - just set aside 15-20 minutes or 5 or 2 minutes and start there. I can't recommend it enough and there are a lot of great minimal calisthenics people out there as well on youtube. Some really nice people. "Hybrid Calisthenics" and "Minus the Gym" are both super friendly and really helpful for beginners and really break it down to super easy and simple workouts. I can't recommend those two channels enough. Anyways, very cool Anthony. Glad you found something. I knew a guy on reddit that lost 100lbs just getting lost in VR workout games like boxing and beat saber just because they were moving to music and lost track of time. And you're really onto something there. If you can lose track of time you can accomplish great things. Music certainly helps. I used to walk for hours on my treadmill watching youtube. Which made me feel good about trimming my playlist queues AND working out lol. (and I stress walking not running, walking you can do just about everyday- running can take a toll on you - especially if you're heavier.
Hi - Patrick from Mind Life Flow here - I am always interested to hear how mindfulness is being used in different ways! It is such a beneficial practise when used daily....using rope flow is so interesting - thankyou

Been rolling 2 years. Excellent summation. I'll share. Rope flowers are quite evangelical and your presentation is helpful. Sharing.

You just described me to a T!! I go from one extreme to the other. I'm full on or full off! Just found rope flow a couple days ago.
Just started. Better than chiropractics advise for my muscular hips issue. Very relaxing. Learning is always terrific!😀
This is VERY cool!
Wait, this looks so fun!
I've never heard of this, but it looks super cool and like something that would actually work for me
This is a great video. I love rope flow and haven't seen any videos quite like this. Thanks for making it.

Full body exercise. More shoulders than arms.
