they don't have half-naked girls dancing, there's no autotune, no sequenced music and they are playing instruments ... Real music played by real musicians
They are still using backing tracks like any band live.
Oh and to add a drum loop. Ask def leppard. They use the Burundi Royal drummers loop on rocket . I just finished a loop of the Burundi drum loop for a friend who's touring

@@Cmac2112 Michael Paynter shines when he gets to use the power in his lungs. The relaxed vocals don't sit well with him, he needs to unload to reveal that what he's capable of.
for being able to hit such a high register without someone grabbing his balls in a vice grip yup that is talent though he is not rock material at all. needs to go back to being boyband material cause he doesn't have a single rock growl in him. A true rocker needs that growl to be even considered a rock singer even if it is poprock.

Iva’s voice has so much depth. He adds the color.

I agree. Michael is amazing of course. But for those of us who listened to icehouse in the 80s and 90s, we have to hear Iva‘s voice because it has a depth and a grittiness to it almost. I am so in love with his voice, even at his current age.

Have seen Icehouse and Michael twice now ( Dubbo & Tamworth ) and am totally gobsmacked when he hits that long suspended high - takes me to another place - amazing control and adds something special to a beautiful song by Iva & the band 🙌🎶😎

In awe of Iva Davey for his resilience as a musician, song writer and performer, just a great entertainer. I could listen to this music all day everyday no stop. Great southern land could be Australia's national anthem. Just putting it out there. Love your music and thanks for all your shows.

I’m a teenager of the 80’s and lately been getting these types of videos on my feed. Brings back great memories. Icehouse is a favourite of mine but sadly I’ve never seen them live. I hope I can in the near future - this is awesome. Iva’s still singing great but I love how he is explains about getting a younger singer whose range is just out there to enhance what the rest of the band brings. A great model for older bands trying too hard to hold onto their legacies- another fave band of mine could’ve taken this advice - Kiss, could’ve not tarnished their legacy if they went the same way as Icehouse
