The Cupra looks way better than the id3. The id3 like golf has a very boring interior.
Of course this is just my personal opinion.
Well the id3 is a golf replacement, so it makes sense. Cupra is a sporty brand

More sensors are visible in Car Scanner: battery degradation (energy content in traction battery), power limit (amps), PTC heater. You need to create new car (menu My cars), then select VW MEB profile.

Thanks Bjørn for another great video. I do like the Cupra Born interior, however it does look like to be competitive VW needs to improve energy consumption, battery specific energy, and charge speeds on the MEB platform.

@@tobimai4843 He probably means that Skoda and Seat make better looking and more exciting cars for better price that the mother company. I personally prefer Skoda Eniaq or Seat Born to ID.4 or ID.3.

Personally I love the look of the Born over the ID3 and that's from a die hard VW fan. Shame they'll be in NZ in 2024 and nearly double the EU price

Great video as always! I enjoy the Born content. I have one on order. I dont really agree with poor mans ID3. Even though this is a joke anyways. The car might be a few Euros cheaper depending on spec but it is roughly the same price. I personally think that the arm rests in ID3 look like in a bus from 1990. So i prefer the center console of the Born.
Seat was not a stylish VW, they were always a cheaper version.
Put the car into reverse and push away on the rear wiper to clean the camera. I believe it's like that on the IDs as well.
The cupra born is actually good looking, I hate automotive badge swapping it's a huge pest peeve of mine but id make an exception for this cupra any day. Its also mad to see Norwegian roads are full of tanks like our British roads.
We don't normally have lots of tanks on Norwegian roads, but right now the Cold Response Nato winter exercise is happening here.
You can also adjust the height of the armrest. Just raise slightly and feel the click (similar as with the Enyaq).
I tried it and it didn't work. Which Cupra Born did you try where it worked?

"To raise the armrest, pull it fully up in the direction of the arrow ››› Fig. 78 up or step by
step depending on the desired opening.
To lower the armrest, first lift it to its highest

Hi Bjorn, seems a better interior than the id3 as you said in the video. One question I have is the software better in the Born than the id3 as some friends have claimed that the software is better on the Skoda Enyaq. (Sorry on Spelling) if the software is better in the Cupra what's going on there? as there built on the same MEB platform?

The Cupra seems to have "better" interior, but quality control in Spain isn't that great, but at least it isn't that bad as Citroen DS and it's diamonds. The ID3 is being selled like hot cakes, but when people see the Cupra is like meeh. However this might change because it's electric :)
Knowing VW way to manage brands, is the Cupra born sound isolation way worse then the ID3 in comparison or is there no noticeable difference to the Exterieur noise while driving?

It’s nigh impossible to judge the quality of an audio system with electronic music, you would need some natural instruments and voices. Also music should have a low compression rate, which you don’t really find in pop music that is mixed for radio stations.

Although I'm fortunate to have an amazing 2022 TM3LR as a company car, if it was my own money I had to spend, the Born 77kWh is, at the moment, where I'd be going (have you seen how much private insurance is for Teslas???). When I need to renew in 4yrs time, by which time UK tax law will have doubtless made Teslas too economically painful to choose as a company car, I'm hoping to see the short-hatch MEB platform with AWD and a new LFP battery, with 350 mle min. range. And with a proper replacement for the not-great VAG EV HMI they have at the moment... The mechanics are aleady there, just the current ID.4 GTX with the ID.3 / Born bodyshell, eeezie...

Probably about 40 km/h.
It's 40-50km/h for most electric cars, 60-70km/h for most ICE cars

A better looking id3 the way it should have been, just a real shame you can’t get matrix lights, I just wish vag had improved on the efficiency in the two years since Id launch but it still sucks on that initial 10 mile warm up high use WHY! The Koreans brands don’t have this issue so why should vag

It annoys me that most manufacturers don’t use the actual colour of the car in their screen images. Seriously isn’t that hard to create a few colours that even the user can choose if not hard coded

@@nikladk1996 it is, starts at 324k nok while id3 starts at 368k nok, id3 used to have a cheaper 45kwh battery but they removed it.
to bad full spec id.3 is 380k nok and cupra 480k nok.

Why do you call it the poor mans ID3? I personally would never consider an ID3, but this car looks quite interesting. I prefer the armrest in the born, because the one from the ID3 remains me of traveling in a train or bus like in public transportation 😅

ID3 is poor mans Born. This car has way more premium look and feel. Inside and Outside. Because it has VW tech, could be more reliable than some other car manufacturers.

Cupra Born is more expensive than ID3 in the UK and most other countries. How do you arrive at the idea that it is the poor man's ID3? The interior is clearly more expensive.

Tesla has completely different geometry, different drag coefficient. it's nonsense to compare them.For many people more important thing is to have a practical boot, which you don't have in TM3

I agree with you. This car looks a better buy to me than the id3, but I'm not a big fan of Cupra. Those were the sporty SEAT versions many years ago, but now they created that new brand. Kind of awful logo to me and not really a fan of copper everywhere. However, beyond that, the biggest problem with this company IMHO is the purpose: they make sporty cars but there's only one of their cars that could fit the old concept of cupra: the 300 hp cupra leon. They made the Formentor, their first exclusive model, and it's a crossover. I just don't get it. The other models in their range are just expensive rebranded SEAT models. And you could buy the SEAT versions, which are in essence the same cars with a much better product/price ratio. And a better logo, by the way 😁
