Hello, congratulations for this very detailed video. I have a question: with which parameter is it possible to choose in the display options. Indeed instead of having the Frequency in default display I would like to have the rotation speed. Can you advise me? In the meantime, thank you in advance and have a nice day.
Nice video brother. Whether this tool can also simultaneously function as an inverter or contactor? Or indeed only for regulating motor speed/frequency?
It is possible to run the motor without removing the capacitor, but the motor must run at the rated speed or the motor speed must reach the point where it leaves the centrifugal switch.
How would I change the phase angle on one of the phases to replicate the start capacitor circuit Ideally I want to have live, neutral, and neutral shifted by 80°
I am so doing a solar project for a filling station, can I used the vfd device to control the surge current and where in the fuel dispenser machine do I connect the vfd to control the motor
I looked at your single phase input/output, but all require single phase 220 volt input. Do you have any that would work in the US or Canada, where we have single phase 120 volt input?
@@ATOcom I'm sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I just need a speed controller for a 120 volt single phase motor. I live in North America. Like most North Americans, I have 120 volt input. So, I need 120 volt input and output.
@@ATOcom Would the following work? Could I put a transformer inline between the wall and the VFD that would convert 120 to 220, hook that 220 up to the VFD, so the VFD would have 220 in and 120 out? The transformer I have in mind would be a simple torroidal.
@@johnbluebeard4355 In fact, I do not recommend using a VFD to adjust the speed of a single-phase motor. The reason is that when the single-phase motor is running at low speed, the internal centrifugal switch may not be disconnected, which will cause the starting capacitor to always be charged and the internal coil of the motor will heat up. . Another reason is that the cooling fan of an ordinary single-phase motor is directly connected to the rotor. The lower the motor speed, the worse the cooling performance, which also increases the risk of the motor being burned. The condition to ensure that the single-phase motor is not burnt is that the operating speed reaches the speed at which the centrifugal switch can automatically disconnect, usually this speed is more than 80% of the rated speed. Therefore, the VFD can adjust the speed in this range, or the function of the VFD is only to reduce the impact of the single-phase motor on the power grid. If you have better ideas, we can continue to communicate.
I have a sealed single phase motor (so cannot get to terminal block) so I have a 4 core cable coming out of the motor... two go to the capacitor with the other two being live and neutral.... how do i connect it to my recently bought GK3000 vfd.... apologies for silly question but I am stumped how to do it
You demo slowing the motor by reducing the frequency. Will it also speed up motors? I need to double or more the speed of two 3hp 2800rpm cap start induction motors (240v 50htz)
I suggest you check the rated speed of the motor. If the motor runs over the rated speed for a long time, there is a risk of burning the motor, although our VFD supports higher frequency output.
I bought the ATO GK3000 VFD and need to operate a single phase motor 0.37kW. Can the VFD operate in a single phase input to a single phase output and how can I achieve this outcome. Currently I've been having difficulties.

@@ejkt6170 because the motor is attached to a high compression compressor, it takes a tremendous amount of torque to start, a vfd would not allow the motor to start slower due to the lack of torque, thats why when fridge comes on its harsh, because the cheap motor from factory has to give it everything it has to start the compressor, That is why they rarely fail running, always on startup because of the High Demand

Yes, one VFD can control 2 motors, but the combined power of the two motors cannot exceed the total power of the VFD, which is theoretically possible, but in fact few people use it like this.

When E-03 or E-01 occurs, it usually means VFD overcurrent. You can try no-load debugging, or reduce the load, or change the V/F curve, or replace the VFD with a higher power.
