What is the output in 3 Phase UVW of a VFD? Is it DC or AC cuz on air conditioners they say DC inverter compressor BLDC Moters but if they are controlled with variable frequency than is it AC voltage cuz it have frequency and DC voltage is known to be constant in one wire

In normative for manufacture electrical motors, exist two standards: DIN convention (Europe) and NEMA (American countries).
In normative DIN use for terminal leads the letters U, V, W signify the coil head, and letters X, Y, Z signify coil end.
In DIN use the first letter U mean (or) V, W (electrical machinery) and (R) (S) (T) for electrical terminal phases of 120°.

Of course, it is possible to input single-phase 220 and output three-phase 380 or three-phase 220.

Hi,
Yeah star configuration is meant for high voltage thus 380-440V depending on where you’re in the world.
The motor has to have at least 3 wire terminals labelled UVW. Sometimes 4/5 or even 6.
Pay attention to the correct power/current the VFD can supply. I suggest to get one that can supply more to be an the safe side though not too big as the safety features won’t work efficiently.

It doesn't have reference ground like you have on you tipical 3 phase outlet so you can't load the three phases separately like you would on the power grid.
I bought this inverter because of this video, but I am stuck on how to operate the inverter program. I have 3ph 380v motors that will run on 1ph 220v input. This video doesn't show clearly and too fast for beginner like me to follow. Pls help.

220V to 380V? I DO NOT BELIEVE! Due to what is the voltage increase in this frequency converter? Disassemble this frequency converter and show what's inside.

«Your right this guy does not know what he is doing or saying. He's another TH-cam amateur. I've worked in electrical & control system engineering for over 25years. I've done many projects with VSDs. (no real engineer calls then VFDs anymore). VSDs rectify AC into DC and then invert the DC into AC using a bank of power transistors (usually IGBTs). Transistors can't magically make voltage. Specifically designed circuits using high speed switching and coils can. but not just transistors by themselves. I've just starting to find out how many amateurs are on TH-cam promoting VSDs and way too many of them have next to know idea what they are really doing. Getting the voltage output wrong is reasonably harmless the motor simply wont perform as well as it should. Its an easy fix that usually amounts to reconfiguring the motor from star to delta. And if people don't know what that means they should NOT be doing it in the first place.»

I do not deny the possibility of creating a VFD with an increase in voltage from 220 V from 1 phase input to 380 V 3 phase output. Technically it is not difficult: 1) step-up transformer; 2) voltage multiplier (two diodes + two capacitors); 3) DC-DC converter 310V to 540V between input diode bridge and IGBT.
I have doubts specifically about the VFD in this video. The VFD shown here has no step-up transformer and no DC-DC converter. That leaves the voltage multiplier. The smoothing capacitors of the DC link available in this VFD can be quite connected according to the multiplier circuit: www.elprocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Voltage-Doubler.jpg , but the capacitance of these capacitors is clearly not enough for the normal operation of this VFD at full load. There must be much more capacitors, otherwise at full load, there will be strong voltage ripples in the DC link, and therefore at the VFD output (in addition to the PWM ripple). This ripple in the voltage multiplier will adversely affect the operation of the motor, which will not be able to develop its full power. And the voltage multiplier capacitors will get very hot and will not last long.
If we assume that a voltage multiplier is used in this VFD, then with a small load, these capacitors will be enough to demonstrate the operation of an electric motor at 380 V. But for full and reliable tests, you need a stand that can give full load to the electric motor and VFD. And you need measuring instruments (a multimeter with True RMS function and an oscilloscope) to measure the input and output currents and VFD voltages (including the DC link).
Another thing is that there is not much sense in such VFDs.

Hi John. I need your help. I am trying to run my air compressor machine from this inverter that I bought from you guys at ecogoo. The model: 9100 - T - 00400 GB.
Compressor specs is : 380V, 50 Hz, 3HP
I do not understand how to set the inverter, as the user manual is not very helpfull to me. Do you perhaps have a video where someone can explain how to operate this inverter in english, step by step. The problem I have is that the compressor has to start up on 50Hz . The compressor has to start up within 2-3 seconds. I am new to this as this is my first time dealing with VFD inverters. If there is anybody willing to assist in this regard, Please do. This is NOT 1 phase 220 to 3 phase 380 but 1 phase 220 to 3 phase 220. There is not one inverter that turns 220 in to 380.
You can run a motor with it with these specs on the type plate DELTA/STAR 220/380 in DELTA configuration.
We have 1 phase 220 to 3 phase 220 and 1 phase 220 to 3 phase 380
You are using a normal multimeter and not a TREU RMS witch can read out voltages with other frequencies than 50 or 60Hz. Your voltage reading is completely wrong.
We are using a Fluke multimeter.

Не покупайте эти частотники. Они горят сразу. На видео мотор не 5,5квт. Продавец обманывает подключая мотор в 2,5 раза меньше по мощности. Купил у него и частотник сразу сгорел. Писал ему о возможности замены сгоревшей платы. Оплатил , а он обманул и прислал наружний пульт управления. Не советую покупать у этого человека.
