Turkish language is relative with Japan language. On the same language tree (Transeurasian)... We are (I'm Turkish) relative with Japans and all Turkic cultures like Kyrgyz, Kazakh, Turkmen, Azerbaijanian, Tatar, Uzbek, all Altais, even Etruks (Roman Empire's ancestors), Hungarians, Bulgarians, Yakuts, Tuvas etc... But NOT relatives with Mongols and/or Arabs as mentioned in some games. On the other hand, we have the same language tree with Mongols too, but, again, we are not relatives with them. Genghis Khan's mother was Turkish, so people think that we are relatives but not. I don't care about races but just mentioning to make it clear.

I used to play this mod a lot, back in 1.19 or something, but it has issues. The major one, in my opinion, is that you get WAY too much monarch power. This, eventually, leads to the AI culture converting every province, after separatism has died down. If you start from an early date, by year 2k, there will be a few nations left with a few cultures left (at least, on the AIs side of things), due to the problem ive mentioned. Lemme tell ya, not being able to fund separatists to break up a monstrosity of a state spanning across Europe (or a few of them, allied together) is a real problem. This mod doesnt help things.
I remember one game, where ive started off as a mesoamerican minor. Colonized what i could, developed some institutions to catch up with the "west", and went to Europe. How (un)surprised i was, when all ive found was France, Saxony, some ancient german tribe that survived since roman times and Denmark sharing the continent between them. All of their provinces were culture converted, so that nothing else could spawn, even if they were brought over the edge in terms of WE and stability. Breaking them up took me hundreds of years... and in all honesty, i didnt enjoy fighting war after war, some declared by me, others declared by them (punitive wars), and all bringing very little in terms of impact. Maybe if i were in Europe at game start, i could alter some things, but again - too much time=too much MP. The AI would have to be altered to make this mod work, and i dont think people actually attempt that.

I would recommend using the Nations Can Collapse Mod which usually results in large, multiethnic empires breaking up into smaller states. Of course, it also affects the player so it also makes the game more challenging.
