Sara is just a natural at this. Right from the beginning, describing the holster in detail was extremely smooth. Some would search for words but she sounds professional. Great chemistry with the guys. She also quite knowledgeable as evident in how she describes the nuances of carry from her perspective. She needs to be a regular on this channel. Doing so would elevate the material beyond what’s already a highly watched channel to not-to-be-missed status.

Good video. Conceal carry stuff is always nice to see, especially involving drills / gear choices. Doing pistol / rifle / shotgun with various drills with each guest would be cool to see, you could even set up a competition each year and bring back the guests to compete to see who’s the best. (I’m sure it’s logistically more complicated than that, but would be cool)

A tip on clearing garments from appendix..... Try grabbing the shirt fingers pointing down. When you clentch your fingers in the garment, shirt moves up. Couple that with your (clenched) hand moving up, and the garment should clear almost anything you have in the holster. No more shirt on the sight.

I absolutely loved this video. Learning and having a little fun at the range is the way to go. The only thing I didn’t understand is when you were practicing at close distances you extended the gun towards the person/target. Just a suggestion……im a fan of an eye gouge over a punch. An eye gouge is almost 100% distracting, whereas a punch may only anger someone and allow adrenaline to take over. The eye gouge is MUCH harder to override and much easier to make an accurate strike with.
Even a palm strike to the nose would be easier than just a punch to the face, and it has a much more prominent response.

A good way to clear your shirt is to "pull hair". Looking for the bottom of your shirt can be awkward and requires too much dexterity. Grab your shirt above the gun like you're pulling hair off your belly and then pull your shirt up to your nipple. Some might not be hairy enough to actually pull belly hair but you get the idea. Both are exaggerated movements and you should clear your shirt every single time.

The one thing I'll say about the jab technique is you could easily get the jab arm tangled up with them and the other arm has played your hand by revealing you're going for a weapon

This was my thought exactly. Much better in that situation to just retreat and draw. Idk how much I would practice throwing a punch over putting up an arm to block and retreat back a step.

“Fence” with your hands, thus protecting your centerline and your entire head, and maintaining distance. Try keeping your rear hand in charge of protecting your face. *Don’t begin with your hands down.* The open-hand “Chill, man,” relaxed-but-ready stance with bladed, open hands achieves this and avoids being obvious. This is related to the concept of the police-interview stance.
