    Lady Que - you need to realize that you have more guts than loads and loads of people here because you ARE putting your mistakes out there - and I bet that those loads and loads of people have made the same mistakes and then some :) You make it ok to be human - to be new at something - and you make it ok for people to share the good AND the not so good. How else will anyone learn otherwise? :) So thank you for this! You ARE the queen of reality on here and I for one admire that and am inspired by that. Your message here is absolutely spot-on - much respect!

    I have 7 tanks with mbuna, angelfish, mixed tetras, severum, oscar, guppies, corydoras and (until my first encounter with ich), clown loaches.as well as a pool with goldfish. My tap water is pH 7.6 All my fish are kept in that pH and they do fine. Personally I would not worry about the convicts and frontosa being together. Stable pH and clean water is all that really matters in the end.

    I break all the rules when it comes to fishkeeping! And I've been doing it for years! For instance, water changes does not have to be as frequent as recommended on TH-cam. The Only Rule that I haven't been able to break is merging salt and freshwater fish😅

    yeah keeps me off the streets too and outta tha hood an that aint even a joke. Wooops . i raise many a fry including frontosas and have bred and kept convicts . As they are small they should be ok its as they get bigger is when you will see . If you move them at a time you see conflict that should be ok but if you leave them together eventually its not the ph that will be the issue . Its the convicts ripping the frontosas hard to grow beautiful sail like fins and once they are damaged you either get crooked and deformed fins back or no fins at all . For a couple of months probs ok . Thats my experience talking to me . You do as you choose love . your fish . Enjoy your determination to succeed

    Love you Susie! I’ve got 4 tanks now and 4 more ready to start up. I definitely need a huge tank as well.
    I have a frontosa with a polar blue and a parrot and a geophagus right now. So far so good. I’m growing out the electric blue acara and a green Severum to join them now. What are your thoughts on this?

    Good Morning, Where did you get the yellow convicts? They are cryptoheros nanoluteus correct?

    • @QueAquatics
      @QueAquatics  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Philadelphia Aquatic Experience yes they are, these are my CARES project. I got them at BCAS monthly auction. That is the Bucks County Aquarium Society. I am having a hard time registering them though

    • @73Mooner
      @73Mooner 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@QueAquatics They seem like awesome fish. I don't think they are as aggressive as normal convicts.
      I may go to the auction on Saturday for BCAS..I went last year, and it was crazy! Too many people, too many items. lol
      Let me know if you have luck breeding them ?
