      What I found funny is that if you switch it to tarmac mode, this all wheel drive vehicle goes bananas. It is very agile and when driving around terrible drivers it gets you to point A point b pretty zippy. You really feel that ump which I really love. So don't forget people put it in tarmac and you will blow around people quick. What's fascinating about this vehicle is that I didn't like the previous edition because it sounded like a rocket ship when you would drive it and this doesn't have that problem. Engine's very quiet which is fantastic and I got the highest trim level and it's amazing. So I know people are freaking out about the CVT but it's not like the other ones where it kind of you know like you hear the engine die or and then it starts back up and the revving you don't get that with this is real smooth. They did a good job with the software to rank. Make it feel like it's an 8 speed automatic. But yeah switch your tarmac mode., Lol

    I had a 2008 Outlander - I loved it. Didn't have any issues with it for the 6 years I owned it. I traded it in thinking Mitsu was going out of business. Guess I was wrong! I had the V6 and AWD - that little car was awesome in bad weather. I miss it.

  • @Naldynator
    @Naldynator 3 ปีที่แล้ว +57

    Absolutely LOVE the new styling of it. And, in these type of cars, the third row is meant strictly for kids, not adults. For that purpose, it's great!

    • @Slayer11-c3g

      There’s actually a video on TH-cam showing 7 adults inside. And they all fit comfortably.

    • @adamcoe
      @adamcoe ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also I don't know why more of the reviewers don't mention it's really great for (some) pets. Definitely the 3rd row is for very small humans only, but it's definitely big enough to put a pet carrier or two, or really anything where it's gonna be up on the seat and the lack of foot room isn't an issue. That being said it would be awesome to be able to buy this vehicle without the 3rd row entirely. Making the sun roof optional on the higher trims would also be killer. I want the heated seats and the nice features and whatnot, but I couldn't give a flying about having a sun roof. I am usually the only one in my car and I'd rather have the head room, and also rather not deal with something else that could break, if I'm never going to use it.
      That being said it's a great vehicle overall and I'm hopefully picking one up this year at some point

    The third row is actually far more comfortable if you recline the third row the entire way, you can do this by pulling the shoulder strap while seated and reclining it further than the default position. It gives you way more head and torso room. I was able to fit and I'm 6'2". However, you won't have much vertical room in the trunk when you do this. If you only would ever need to fit 6 with luggage (fold down one of the third rows) or 7 with no luggage this is a great option.

      The camera they used was fish eyed, if you want space for the third row occupants, you need to move the second row one notch forward, leaving plenty of room for a full grown adult in the second row, which leaves enough room in the third to fit someone 5'6'' and under 200 lbs (obviously varies person to person). I am 5'9'' and about 160, and I have sat in the third row of the current 3rd gen Outlander (smaller) and became uncomfortable after about an hour or so, I don't think you will have any troubles fitting your 6 year old in there (judging by the dimensions Mitsu has released as a comparison to 3rd gen).

    Love this car!! Bought one today....top of the line. I am in Canada and this will be the third Mitsuishi Outlander I have owned. I bought my first one in 2007 and I loved that car. Instant response and pick up and lots of nice features. Then I traded it for a 2015 Oulander and wasn't quite so enamoured. Both cars were V6 but the 2015 did not have an instant response on the accelerator. It does not give you a feeling of confidence when you step on the accelerator and nothing happens for a second or two! Then I had hatch problems. I couldn't open it and the service people could not figure out why I couldn't open it and they could. My son finally figured out what was wrong with it and fixed it. There was some kind of sticky substance on the gasket around the hatch and it was sticking. Anyway, that got pretty old......but I decided to give it one more try. The 2022 model doesn't have a 6 but I am told that the 4 does the job nicely and with better fuel economy. So here I go again.......with all the bells and whistles this time. Yahoo!! BTW I am an 80 year old woman and my husband used to call me Maria Andretti because I was such a terror on the road. Let's see if this car is up to the task!!
