Hello everyone!
If you are weighing your options and trying to decide which is best - getting a DTF printer or purchasing DTF transfers, hopefully this video will help you make the right decision. I have a DTF Printer and I have also ordered DTF transfers and there are benefits to using both. With the DTF process, you are going to get nice, vibrant images, no matter what color fabric you use. The Direct to Film (D.T.F.) process is trending right now for all the right reasons!
This little chat will hopefully provide some helpful advice as I share my experience with owning a DTF Printer and purchasing DTF Prints.

I purchased a DTF almost year n half ago and still haven’t used it. I purchased it for putting images on cotton shirts/etc
It's never too late to start using it! Maybe now is the perfect time to give it a try.
@@CraftingwithDelonda I know. It just makes me nervous after really seeing some of the horror stories. 😳
Early on I played about 30-minutes with DTF powder and the sublimation hack. Then became aware of the health risks. Applying the powder manually without a commercially built shaker box is irresponsible in my opinion. The fine DTF powder becomes airborne and ends up getting inside and on top of every surface. Anything with a cooling fan will suck this inside and contaminate electronic parts. Really glad you specifically addresses the health concerns and hope people listen. This technology is not for a home business environment and should be left to the professionals with industrial ventilation.

♥ Price is way beyond me, I have software knowledge, but it would still be a hassle, and time consuming . Very clear and thorough explanations, thanks! I am curious about the actual transfer-to-shirt process. I see that the transfers are positives rather than negatives, so I'd think that somehow you have to lift the transfer off the backing paper to get it on the shirt-- how exactly does that work? My first thought was that you'd just place the printed side of the transfer toward the shirt and iron it-- but that would cause the image to be reversed it seemed-- so there's clearly something I don't understand about the process. Maybe when you showed the transfer, the colored side of the sheet is actually the back and the DTF printing is actually done on the white side?
Also, for cases where few shirts are needed, might it be an option to have the DTF transfer printed *and* the transfer-to-shirt done by a single service and not handle the transfers at all? I'm thinking that might even be something like an etsy site or the like where you can supply a computer image and order it on a shirt? When does that make sense? At some quantity is it better to do your own transfer-to-shirt rather than ordering a shirt from a service that will print and transfer and just send you the shirt?

Thank you for all this videos also helpful , question for the dtf’s that you order how long do they last ? How many washes ? I’ve order from jiffy but they don’t last I washed my shirt and in the first wash it was already failed and lifting thank you
Oh wow! I have only ordered from Atlanta Vinyl and Supacolor and both have lasted through every wash. I haven't counted the number of washes but they all still look excellent.

Which is better and what is the difference between a DTF printer like you have and the prints that are done with a Crio white toner printer?
I don't have a white toner printer. This video is only about DTF transfers vs owning a DTF printer.

My question is about the heat press. I have the Cricut autoprees, Is it enough?
Yes, it will work just fine.
I won’t be getting a DTF printer, are the DTF prints you order safe I know there is a question about the powder does it emit during pressing. Say I had an order of 100 shirts to press would I need safety gear to press these 100 shirts with DTF gang sheet prints?
The prints/transfers are safe to use. The powder has already been cured.
