Bought it back in 2019. Still works. Had to upgrade to an auto last year since on long runs your arms/elbow get tired. Perfect for a beginner on a budget
Just a heads up, i just bought a Fancierstudio 15x15 almost identical to this one but it has been updated. It slides out 5.5 inches. Also the teflon sheet is now an actual cover that is stretched over the corners, one for both the bottom platen and the top, so the sheet and pads stay in place but are also easy to remove. After watching all of your reviews (after i already bought.and immediately returnedthe POS that is the Vevor 5 in 1) I settled on the Fancierpress and I'm so pleased. It probably works out to the same baseline price as a Vevor without the attachments, but so much better in terms of quality and build. I ripped my dollar bill nearly in half trying to pul it out of the corner, even with the super slippery teflon sheet in place. Solid buy! Oh, and there's also a "ledge" just below the bottom platen for leverage when opening the press.
Thank you for another heat press review. I absolutely love the DTF graphic on this review and the other graphics on your other reviews. Where can I get them? Newbie to your channel today but been binge watching and just subscribed . 😊

Hey man, I came across your channel and have learned a lot so far. Looking to start a t-shirt business on a budget and I was torn between the fancierstudio heat press and power press that you crowned the winner in your budget heatpress review. Considering the fact that both brands have newer models, which one would you recommend to get started? Thanks in advanced for your help.
There is a "technique" i use to open mine, nothing fancy but if you lightly yank (light but firm) the press opens easily. Probably sounds weird but its what I do to open it one handed, Ive had it for a year or two and now its time to upgrade, not because it failed but because I really like the ones that slide.
Your reviews are so helpfull! What's your opinion on the Vevor 29 x 38 Heat Press 5 in 1? I need to buy one for, and my only options here in Portugal are Vevor and Creworks. Also, my budget its short..
@@transfersuperstars Its a shame that my only options, that or Creworks which I've never heard either. Thanks for taking your time, really appreciate 🙌
We use DTF, Direct to film. If you need any transfers made, you can submit them on our website and we'll print it for you. www.transfersuperstars.com/products/dtf-gangsheet-builder
Glad I found your page! What amazon heat press would you recommend for around the $500-$700 mark? We are having an issue because none of the high end presses ship to Canada..Can you help us out?
So far the Powerpress. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0773Y1TNX?&linkCode=sl1&tag=transfersuper-20&linkId=df21c2fac4c4a6f01f3436c1f208074e&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
I use a high end insta at work and the fancier studio at home. It takes a bit longer for my fancier studio to heat up and it is uneven for a few minutes. Once it heats up, it has no problems. I am happy for the price. And I can move it around. My insta needs 2 people to move.
Yes you can. Personally for us, we just flip the transfer paper over and re-press. The teflon is nice if you use a magnet and add it to the top of the press so you don't have to worry about it each time.
Once you start getting into the 16x20 there's really no budget presses. We do carry a Prisma16x20 heatpress that is a great value buy and has a bunch of features, check this video out th-cam.com/video/NoKvi6MnYhQ/w-d-xo.html
I believe the original one is what we just reviewed and there is a newer slide out version that we need to test out. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BCUUIY4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2ISCC5HPW8KU9&psc=1
For a budget press, Its really hard between the two. There's a newer version of the fancierstudio that has a 5.5" slide out that I want to try out next. amzn.to/3TlKkJC
A dollar bill is generally thinner than a standard piece of paper. A U.S. dollar bill is made from a blend of 75% cotton and 25% linen, making it more durable and less prone to tearing than regular paper. This is helpful when trying to do a tear test to check pressure. Its a preference thing but these are some reasons why we do it.
@@transfersuperstars I have been a Printer for 40 years so have set printing rollers in large offset presses which are far more complex than this. In the last 15 years or so I got into the heat transfer industry, first with computer cut vinyl then solvent UV and lately with DTF. All I am telling you it doesnt make sense using printed notes. You can even use feeler gauges if you want or to simplify things just cut up strips of your teflon sheet. What you do need is material of the same thickness both sides that will give you a fair representation of whether the pressures are all the same. Good luck with what you are doing. All the Best!
Absolutely not. Why would you recommend a press that has more than 30 degrees in temperature difference from one spot to another? That means you can both overcure, and undercure the transfer adhesive in the same hit. While it appears to stick and survive a wash, your customers will call you on quality issues when they degrade too fast. It will be the business owner’s responsibility to replace those items when a transfer wasn’t applied properly.
It sucks but all the budget ones (sitting around 200 cost) are like this it seems. Doesn't make me want to splurge out for anything until I can afford a higher end one that doesn't do this. I was really excited about this fancier studio one too :/

Great feedback! Sounds like it made you guys some good money! Congrats on the auto! Time for More!
Got mine about 2 weeks ago. Works great.

Oh very nice! I see that listing now with the slide out. We will definitely add to our list to test out.
Ive been looking at that one!! Thanks for sharing.
Glad I came here I wasnt sure those covers were meant for pressing
The black covers are supposed to stay on there?
@@user-wz2tu4ij7k Yes, they protect the platens.

Both are good budget presses but I would go with the Power Press.

This one or the powerpress?
its very close between these two but the powerpress was slightly better during our test. th-cam.com/video/ncgqTmAVN3k/w-d-xo.html
@transfersuperstars thank you! Over all is that your number one recommendation for a start up business?
How long did you wait for the transfer to cool down after the first press?
we wait around 10-15s to be safe. If its a solid print, you can peel almost instantaneously
@@transfersuperstarsthanks so much! Super helpful and the video was very helpful as well
Out of all the 200$ or under Amazon presses which one would you recommend the most. Thanks

Do you prefer the powerpress over the vevor semi automatic??
When you initially use the fancier studio press do you have to let it run for a certain amount of time ?
No it was ready to press like most heat press machines are. Are you experiencing any difficulties getting it started?

can i use microwaveable wax paper instead of the teflon sheet?

@@transfersuperstarsgeoknight dk-20 is best for pumping out 50 to 100s shirt per order than the budget heat press ?
What heat press do you use?
We use various presses at our shop. Here's a link to some of them. www.transfersuperstars.com/collections/heat-presses
How you add the Teflon sheet?
We use magnets to hold the Teflon sheet in place.
Why are you using dollar bills? To check the tension you only need to use strips of paper or plastic.
A dollar bill is generally thinner than a standard piece of paper.
