yes, i'm an INFJ that took the test 2-5 years back :)
Love the channel cuz i like thinking about psychology in general. Like how i'm not queer or anything, but i find it interesting to look at things like xenogenders, which are genders that explain the concept of how someone feels about their gender through an example. I feel like taking the test again even though I still relate pretty hard to this video (good job :D).

Once you added “rarest personality type” to the title you made people subconsciously want to fit the type since it’s special to be rare. Now a lot of people will do anything to rationalize themselves being relatable to this video.

For an INFJ, it's more intense. Usually, we know what to do, but just don't do it. I wouldn't classify it as "procrastination", but rather our constant struggle towards perfection.
We don't do something, at times, because of: the social circumstances, the timing, and the certainty of the outcome.

As an INFJ I kinda felt lonely and not understood (dealed with loneliness a lot) but then I found my best friend. After 3 years of friendship I found out why I felt so understood and comfortable around her: she was also an INFJ

I'm an INFJ too, and I've always had friends, but like it said in the video, they were more like acquaintances. When I met my two best girl friends and my best guy friend, I suddenly felt so valued, understood and loved. I found out later that he's also an INFJ (which explains how we got along so well as soon as we met) and that my other friend is the "best friend" with INFJs (according to online sources)! (I forgot the MBTI for it TT) Anyways I found the video to be very accurate XD Especially the part about being a perfectionist and a procrastinator XD

I can guarantee most of you claiming you are a INFJ, probably aren’t one. Most people say they are, only because the feelings in the video are very common. A lot of the things said in the video are known as “Barnum statements” which are statements that apply to most people at some point in life. For example, most people like things to be perfect, but also procrastinate a lot. It is literally a really common feeling people will go through at some point. Also, a lot of the time, people will make things true for themselves, and want to believe what they believe and make that true for themselves. People will subconsciously influence themselves into what they want to believe they are.

@@scyllari3544 To be completely honest I wouldn’t fully put all your belief in those tests. Personality tests aren’t really accurate. You can answer the questions 100% truthfully and you know what each question specifically means, but it can still put you in a category which isn’t you. A lot of people here are mistypes, and a lot of the time with those personality tests is a lot of the questions are similar to each other and therefore you think you relate to them all, which therefore doesn’t give an honest answer

@@scyllari3544 the fact that you recommended that website 😬😬 the only reason why your results seemed “accurate” is because the questions are vague and all have similar concepts, therefore each question sounds similar and ends up mistyping you with the wrong personality type. For real...I really don't understand how it happens. All my life I have been the recipient of people's confessions, I don't know what vibe I give off that makes people just want to start telling me their stuff. And it literally is everyone I encounter, not just people I know. It makes me good at my job now, and I'm able to disassociate so it isn't a burden anymore, but it really was terribly difficult to handle when I was younger.
And yeah...NO ONE fucking reciprocates. Unless you're lucky enough to be friends with another INFJ who will take turns with you sharing and caring.

I'm Highly Sensitive Person and INFJ-T. And yes, i'm man. Sensitive man. I accept life has pain and suffering. We all have bad days. Being sensitive has it's pros and cons. I'm lone wolf because of c-ptsd. Past traumas unfortunately shape a person and personality. Sensitivity also makes me work like spunge, absorbing others feelings because I Care too much. I'm 34 years old and all my issues in life happen because I care too much of small details. Life doesn't have to be pain and suffering, so that's why you gotta learn to regulate your "flaws", your innate core personality traits. You must work on your well-being, which means Doing, so you could call it well-doing, to improve your issues in life. Gaining healthy routines and habits are essential for feeling content in life. Most young INFJ's have issues because we care so much and we burnout from others burdens and that happens when we don't have the ability to say "no" to others at that time. Everything can be improved. People seek answers online and these videos here may be the answer you seek, or maybe it's this comment you are reading right now. I had issues accepting my spectrum of emotions as teenager, so did everyone around me also. Had to use heavy depression medication to sweep them under the rug, out of mind and focus. My regret after quitting 20 years of using that medication is, why I didn't quit it sooner. Every emotion and feeling exists for reason, you just have to practise mindfulness to figure out what causes anxiety, depression, pain and suffering. Figuring them out helps you to solve them and fix your issues. Those "bad" emotions are required to progress and self-improve in different aspects of life. Without emotions, feeling numb, you will just lay in bed, without energy or purpose, day by day, week after week, year after year, missing everything that you could do or achieve in life. Emotions, bad or good, give you energy and spark for action. Regulating and channeling them healthily and within good morals properly help you achieve things in life. Thank you for reading and reaching these last words. If you can reach here, reading these words, you can do anything you focus your mind on to!

I don’t know what type of mental illness I have… I’ve never labeled myself with one… But yes, I am extremely sensitive-especially when it comes to the people I’m deeply attached to.
Instead of understanding my sensitivity, I’ve always been made to feel like this is my problem-that I’m “too sensitive.” But hey, it’s not like I chose to be this way.
Maybe I have borderline personality disorder… Like, when I’m happy, I’m really happy-creative, everything. But when the people I care about, the ones I love, don’t understand me when I need them the most, I start thinking-
I take on everyone’s worries, act like a "pleaser," try to ease their stress, but when it’s my turn, I get judged for being “too sensitive.”
And so, from all of this, the only lesson I’ve gotten so far is-stay silent, cry it out, isolate yourself.
I swear, I used to be a loud, bright, and happy kid… But as I grew up, everything got messed up. It’s gotten to the point where, when you don’t have anyone close to talk to, you find yourself writing a long comment to some stranger on TH-cam at 3:09 AM.
Is it wrong to want to be understood? To wish to be seen?

I try to be happy, and I live happily... I work, I do everything... But then, after a month or two, something happens-a small, insignificant thing-and I feel like I'm back to zero. It takes a lot of courage to stand up again.

If INFJs are here, then I want to share my feelings with y'all which I will maybe never share with my family nor friends. As being the rarest personality type, I feel unique, but also different, in the sense I can't find a person with whom I can share my feelings with as there is only 2 percent of the world's population of my personality. I really wanna find someone like a best friend, to share my feelings with, to get all the negative thoughts off my shoulder, and to also know how it feels to have someone like that person I wanna find. I always try to fit in as I don't like being alone sometimes, I want someone to share my feelings with, but I haven't found someone like that, and sometimes I avoid hanging out with my friends when I get too frustrated, because I don't think I really consider them as my friends. Why am I so different from everyone else I see? I really need someone to get assisted by and to assist. I shared my thoughts here because I wanted you to know that you are not the only one feeling this way. (sorry for bad English)

I was simply stating that this is the way I feel. This is what my biggest personal struggle looks like, and obviously it isn't limited to one single personality type - to assume it was would be stupid.
And I didn't mean "knowing the person" as such, but more of "knowing a lot of secrets of that person, things not a lot of other people know". I just often feel like I have nobody to open up to about my problems while I'm the person everyone else opens up to. And, well, I enjoy being able to help others simply by listening to them, but I often let others' problems close to myself which affects me more than I'd like to admit. Sorry if that makes me a not-INFJ in your eyes XD
I'm obviously aware of all the things you said although I don't really see how half of those things have anything to do with what I was stating before.
Also, I see how my original comment wasn't formulated clearly :)

About the "sharing secrets", I wasn't talking about someone's deepest secrets, but about things they might not feel comfortable sharing with lots of people, things they keep hidden. And yeah, I am aware I'm not the only one they might be telling these secrets, but I also know they often tell me not to tell anyone else - that's pretty much my definition of a secret.
And I might be an INFJ, I might as well not be one. I didn't write these comments to prove you that I'm an INFJ because honestly, there are more important things. For me, at least.

Being an INFJ is like a double-edged sword; on one hand, you know barely anyone could understand you but you bottle it up because you know it's annoying. Therefore we like to keep most of ourselves to ourselves for the sake of others, which leads to cycles burnout.
The other hand though, I'd rather struggle with inner turmoil, ultimately finding peace in solitude than be anybody different. Not many people like to look beyond the surface. I'm in college to become a psychologist because I simply enjoy working with people on anything they struggle with. The goal is to know how to validate yourself, accept what is, forgive the things you cannot forget, and flourish from all of it.

Although I will admit that I believe it’s possible to change ones personality type over time and even though one person may fit a specific type it does not mean that they are exactly the same as everyone else in that group.

Everything described in this video- although not as in detail as the briggs site descriptions, is me perfectly. and i feel. special in some way being able to understand people the way i do. and also very different than everyone i come across which is slightly weird going through life in this manner. but i enjoy it at the same time very much.

This comment really surprised me because I can really relate. I have really bad anxiety as well and when it comes to school and friendships, I wanna be the person to help others out. Just recently, I’ve been trying to help out others with no real success and it’s been draining me. I’ve been going through a rough patch these past few weeks and after seeing this, I’m really wondering if I’m an INFJ since I can really relate to a lot of these comments.

@@abiiixoxo6555 I definitely understand that and I respect a degree of skepticism. If I may, I would like to intercede. The video states that the infj type is 2% of the global population. As someone who has designed and conducted psychological studies, albeit in an undergraduate context, I can tell you that psych stats, or even all stats in general, are very ambiguous at times and prone to misrepresentation. That 2% can only be inferred from people who have taken the test. It isn't a hard number but rather a trend. Meaning that of those who haven't taken the test, it could be said with some degree of certainty that only 2% will be infj, however there exists a chance, however small, that maybe all the infjs have been hiding in that group and suddenly the average increases. (BTW in psych stats you can have a maximum of 95% certainty that the stats a representative of reality. You can never state a psychological finding as proving but only supporting a theory)
Secondly, at the time of writing this comment, only 4.3k people have commented. Not every single one is stating that they are infj so less than 4.3k people are claiming this. And even if they were, it would make sense that those who relate to the characteristics presented in the video would be the ones to comment. I personally wouldn't make a comment to say "oh... that isn't me". Some might but I would theorize that it is unlikely. Yeah, its possible that some people are lying so that they feel apart of something but what percentage do you think that would be? 2%? 5%? 50%? Consider that and put it into practical details. If you think that half or more people are lying, then that goes a bit beyond skepticism and into cynicism, which is fine if you find supporting evidence. Otherwise, you're categorizing people based on a faulty intuition. I personally abide by the trust but verify method, but like many of us, I dont have the free time to engage with everyone on this thread. Anyway, thanks for your time and im open to hearing any kind of response!

INFJ here, and for those who see having it as their personality type as some sort of grand achievement, believe me it isn’t. Having a “unique” way of thinking is not always ideal, especially when it comes to performing optimally in a group or trying not to get lost in one’s own thoughts. I am a INFJ personality as well, and also diagnosed with borderline personality. You’re right, it’s not always fun or nice at all. I find it very distressing. I have attachment issues, need to be loved, have strong emotions, I can feel the pain of others, I have very little close friends, I struggle with relationships and being understood, or understanding others. I often feel like I’m the one who cares more, and that really hurts my feelings, making relationships difficult and often very hurtful for me. I’m always there for people when they need me, but find others avoid me when I want to talk about my feelings or thoughts. I don’t like superficial small talk and often am too intense for other people to be around. I give up on things that don’t feel good, I experience black and white thinking and makes it hard to sustain relationships. I have problem seeing the good in people and in the world sometimes. I will never leave someone’s side when they are in distress, I put all my effort into those I love, often neglected myself. I think about other people all of the time, possibly more than I consider my own self or feelings. It is very difficult and you’re right, being unique isn’t always fun at all.

I’m an INFJ. The “perfectionist but procrastinates” really hit home for me. It perfectly describes that issue within me because when I try to explain it to someone else, no one ever understands. I constantly struggle internally with all of the goals I want to achieve but I put it off, every. time. It’s a constant battle of wanting to stop wasting time but when looking at the task ahead... well, it doesn’t seem easy. Which is strange because I know I can do it, without a doubt, but when I think of when I get there; all the responsibilities I’d have, and the pressure of it all to keep the ball rolling. I always get the comment “you have great potential,” and it annoys me because it’s true. As if I’m not there but there at the same time. I visualize is as this: walking down a dark road, seeing the light ahead, but when I try to take a step forward.. I can’t. It’s like trying to scream without any sound coming out. It’s scary, and I face it every day. Making friends is just as difficult. I observe people a lot and take joy in that, I pick up on people’s quirks and habits, I’m there for them when they need me or need advice. But I don’t get that genuity with others. I’ve come to accept that maybe people will never care as much. It’s lonely. Although it sounds nice to be part of the 2%, there’s a lot of downsides to it. For me, I try to take solace in solitude and knowing my worth, so that when I’m around people it doesn’t hurt as much.

@@whoatemynachos4993 I'm so sorry this is happening to you too. I'm by no means perfect and I struggle with these issues all the time but I will share some things that have helped upon excessive reflection.
      *Stop and breathe
We all live our lives in our own bubble, constantly worried about the problems of our lives. When it becomes too much: stop and breathe. Take time to dwell on the bigger picture. I like to visualize myself first and zoom slowly outward to space, the endless galaxies. This visualization reminds me that my problems are small and I live but a fleeting life on this planet. It reminds me to live my days one at a time instead of pressuring myself of the future. Even though life doesn't always go the way we want it to, we have to make the best of it we can.
      *Make small goals
It's easy to get overwhelmed with a ton of things you haven't done/need to do/promises to others or yourself. Its okay to take your time, as long as you do it. Write them down, divide them into small groups and try to tackle at least one thing a day. If you can't do something, it's okay. Learn from your mistakes this time on how to better approach something you need to do. We aren't robots. We fail. It's okay to make mistakes.
      *Don't compare yourself to others
Things always look better from the outside looking in. There are more complexities at play when you admire someone or something. It looks easy. What makes others successful is failing and learning from it. Its okay to seek out inspiration, just be healthy about it and not compare yourself. Everyone has their own journey.
      *Be kind to yourself.
This is the most important. Accept that you will fail and enjoy the journey. That not everyone is perfect including you. I know this is hard with perfectionism but honestly, most of the beautiful things in life are imperfect. We have to learn that not everything will go according to plan in life. With that said, be kind to yourself when things go wrong. Remind yourself it's okay and you will be alright. Always put your mental health first.
      *Write a letter to yourself
On your best days things become more clear, more positive. And not everyday will be your best day or positive day. So write a letter to yourself when problems are more clear. Remind yourself of your dreams and aspirations. Urge yourself to be better and that things will be okay. That you will be okay. So that when those days roll around you can always read it and remember.
Sorry, I know this was long but I hope this helps.

@@vivianaromano8156 I'm happy as well that I don't face this kind of battle alone, although I don't wish it on anyone, I share the sentiment. Try to accept that you are this way, although it's hard to make friends as an INFJ, its better to accept it and build on it slowly so that you are comfortable in your own shoes.

More like how you understood or reacted to a situation and if there was anything you could have done to keep someone from making a huge mistake and/or hurting someone. Like, "Why didn't I catch this," and "If I were closer with this person could I have influenced them what not to say or do?"
And of course there's the, "I knew what was happening but didn't know what to do!!"
What hurts is, "I really thought you could have been a friend... and now I don't know how to grow apart from you." And you have to disassociate without hurting yourself and your friends who are still friends with the non-friend.
Not an INFJ but an INTJ. Most characteristics can go for both.

I took the Mayers Brigg test many times and the result is always the same. I'm an INFJ and yes I possesse the traits you mentioned. I can see through people even just by looking at them and is able to predect their next action or expression. I can sense if there's a good or bad thing/s to happen. I can tell who walks behind me with just their smell and the intensity of the wind they created. I can look for my things even if it's pitched black just by feeling it because I can tell the things I've been using just by feeling it. Yes, I've predicted accurately the things that's going to happen.
