    Thanks for the video. There’s a difference between bed level and the Z offset.
    The leveling process creates a mesh of the print surface. It finds the any irregularities ( hi or low spots). The firmware then can move the z position during the print so layer stays the correct thickness regardless the print surface irregularities.
    Z-offset is the distance from the extruder nozzle to the print surface. This determines the thickness of extrusion on the initial layer.

    In the case of the V400, the Z-offset is a separate adjustment to allow you the ability to change nozzles without having to re-level the bed. That is the reason you need to calibrate the Z-offset in addition to mesh bed leveling when setting up the V400.

    Here's a tip for assembly: When fishing your pull tape through (generic term for the string) the leg feed it through the bottom. This uses less material. To feed it through easily take a vacuum cleaner hose to the other end and suck the pull tape through, takes like 5 seconds and little hassle. There's a video here on youtube showing a guy using a shop vac to pull the pull tape over 600' in less than a minute through some conduit. He needed to use a shopping bag due to the diameter and distance, but you won't.
    And leaving the voltage switch wrong WILL NOT fry your unit here in the US. It will do nothing at all, it's an old geek prank we used to pull in comp sci class to put it to the higher setting and watch while the user tries to figure out why it's not working. Now having the lower setting on while inputting the higher power, THAT will fry your unit. So prank in the US vs destruction of property elsewhere xD

    I used an old Ethernet cable and some blue painters tape to pull those cables through without any issues.

    I have an x1c, and thinking about getting a v400. What do you like better?

    Hello and thanks for your review. I come from the resin side of 3D printing which I use for lost resin casting. I have decided to buy an FLsun V400 for printing larger casting items... My question is, are you still happy with this printer and what issues have you encountered?
    Thanks again.

    Lateral fans (turbo fans) must be always on during a print? Or they turn on/off sometimes during printing ?

    • @jamonserrano2906
      @jamonserrano2906 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you’re printing in PLA, fans need to cool the parts, on ABS, ASA, you need something like 20/30% but that need testing as it may cause warping.

    Can this machine now do 600mm/s... apparently that's what they are advertising now..one channel (247printing had this thing flying at 2000 yes 2K/s!!!) :) looks like a good one.

      @ChrisLoh 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The V400 is capable of 600mm/s with the new firmware update. As for the faster speed, Are you sure they aren't talking about their new T1/S1 Printers? Those were just released and have advertised print speeds up to 1200mm/s. I have the T1 pre-ordered and will be doing an unboxing in February when it arrives.

      Just saw the short. Looks like it was just a speed run. I dont think the print quality will be that good at that speed, but who knows, we have a lot of talented people out there who can mod these 3D printers to do some amazing things

    I could be wrong but after a firmware update from the company supposedly you can print it up to 600 mm per second

    Printable print area only 300mm in diameter - it means about only 210x210 mm area for a square object .... and this is a very large and heavy printer....

    The V400 can print the benchy in 16 minutes, comparing the finish to the carbon benchy at half the speed it's unfair.
