The sound of the sound. In the end the whole piece was made of one instrument, which is a great way of binding it all together. Especially in times where people have literally thousands of instruments, often “less is more”.
You know you are going to be in for a treat when a Jono episode shows up in your sub. And what a treat: blending feel and tech. in an inspiring way. Thank you 🙏
Your videos strike an amazing balance between high density (the content, not the presenter) and easy-to-follow. I appreciate that you included your thought process, and some things that didn't make the final "cut." Not sure if I believe the part about 900,000,000, but everything else was super helpful. Thank you!
Literally one of the best channels for logic pro out there..Thnk u jono for all the wealth of information you are giving us❤❤…N this time I spelled your name correctly 😀😀
Really enjoyed this. Delving into sampling isn't something I've explored much. And this is a brilliant example of one sound source can be manipulated into. Very inspiring!
I know what I'm doing with the rest of my day 🤣 On a more serious note. I've been looking for ways to maximise the ideas that pour out of my microlooping pedal and this is just what I needed.
Very cool and inspiring indeed. Any ideas on why Logic Pro wont reproduce the first 2 beats of any MIDI recording if those beats start from beat 1, but if you push them after beat one it perfectly reproduces what you’ve recorded?
Thanks so much. If the first couple of notes are even a fraction 'early' (even just a couple of frames), Logic will see them as belonging to the previous bar, so it won't trigger them, particularly if you track starts in Bar 1. There are a couple of things you can do. As you say, you can push them 'later' until they're Quantised or manually pushed into position at the beginning of the 'correct' bar. Or - as you've probably noticed I do a lot - you can start your tracks in Bar 2, extending any regions backwards into Bar 1 by dragging out the bottom left hand corner, so that the notes become active. Hope that fixes the issue.
Hi Jono, I have a wish list and am wondering if you have already addressed these topics in passed videos. One of them is a video or series of videos on scoring for films using Logic pro. I have watched your masterclass more then once and I would really need a basic step by step method, including finding videos to practice and downloading them to Logic Pro, and everything else to get started in that process, bounce music and send it to a fim maker. There are a few youtoubers who made videos on the topic but none of them are as good as you are at explaining and organizing information in a learner friendly way. They all seem top assume we are all at the same level of understanding and very often leave me with more questions then answers. You have this absolutely incredible capacity to anticipate miss steps and why we do this or that instead. Anyhow... Just asking!
Thank you so much. Those are very kind words. Yes, this is definitely all content I'll be covering in the coming weeks and months - in fact, there are some interesting announcements coming very soon.
Never disappoints! What an unbelievable source of knowledge this channel has become.
Thanks so much. I’m very happy the videos are helping.
This is simply a great TH-cam channel! Thank You!!!!
And thank you! Really appreciate that, Mark.

Exactly that! Thanks so much.

to the point!
Some things you just don't mess with! ; )

Thanks so much, Peter. You're right, that part might have been a stretch. ; ) Much appreciated.

Thanks - both for the compliments and the spelling! And you're most welcome.
Jono,
Thanks. It was again a very nice video to watch and to get some inspiration.
Really glad it was helpful. Huge thanks.
Always a joy to get your insight..... Thanks Jono !!!
Thanks - I very much appreciate that!
Brilliant stuff, Jono. Sampler is an incredibly useful tool.
Hi Chris! It most certainly is. Hope all’s good with you.
🙏
Thanks!

Thanks Matt - I'm glad it was helpful. And absolutely - you can a lot without having to go 'too' deeply into the Sampler. It's a powerful tool.
Absolutely spot-on, the way that you have explained this. slow calm and easy to follow.
Thank you!
You're most welcome. I'm glad it was helpful.
Mesmerizing. Thanks!!
Thanks Ian!
Cool use of LFO. Slowly learning. Thanks Jono.
Great, thanks John!

Great, thanks so much. And you're right, some of these techniques should be really interesting when partnered with audio from your pedals. Cheers!
Great tutorial! Cheers!
You’re welcome, Jim. Thanks!
Very creative and inspiring!
Great! Many thanks
You’re an interesting ear candy texture yourself at times, Jono mate.
Initially your voice was providing a nice bass to contrast the ethereal piano.
🤣 I’ll take that! Thanks Daniel.
Beautiful, thanks
You're welcome, Donnie!

@@jonobuchananmusic Nice trick indeed, I’ll try it tonight!
Please keep posting these very interesting tutorials.
