McLaren P1 GTR Onboard HOT LAPS!

- 'The Dreamcar Event' by name and one that did not disappoint! I head up to Croft Circuit to check out the event and in particular to jump onboard both the McLaren P1 GTR and McLaren 650S GT3 of Gibson Motorsport for some spectacular hot laps on the track.
The day itself is hosted to raise money for NSPCC, and includes the opportunities for guests to attend and make a donation to go for a ride in a huge variety of supercars. The flagship opportunity was the ability to jump into the P1 GTR for a double flying lap during the lunch break for 5 attendees.
It was a fantastic day out, and what a stunning machine the P1 GTR is, wonderful!

Should've had the 650S GT3 driver in the P1 GTR. He knew how to drive that beast around the track.
He was just faster, but does fast mean better ? It was an old driver, half the age of the 650s driver and he took a chilled line, it wasn´t a race so calm down ;)
The driver in the 650s was going for it more than the driver in the P1

650S GT3 has a lot of downforce. Don't know about the P1 GT's but downforce stats but the GT3 car has a lot!

Awesome video Shmee - you really put across the experience of the laps. It's a shame I didn't know about the event because I only live a few miles way from Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire! Maybe at Goodwood FoS or next year!

How does the 650S GT3 stack up to the M6 GT3? Did you feel any clear differences?
yeah the GT3 overshadowed the GTR on this trip. I think Tim realised that too! hahah

I'm in my early teens and wear a brown plaid sport coat around for special occasions, I suppose it's just my thing. I like the feel of it. I suppose that's where Shmee is at, he feels most comfortable and at his best when dressed as he is. In simpler terms, I couldn't agree with Cloxxki's explanation any more as it is worded perfectly!

17.04 'Something very noisy went past', pretty sure that would be me. V8 Vantage with quite a lot of modifications. Come back next year and I'll take you out in it.
