Had a V6 S Convertible for a couple of years and only gave up on it when I realized the dealer was never going to fix a terribly annoying issue with the AC: that V6 sound was to die for, but I couldn't put up anymore with freezing air blown at me in wintertime or no air at all in the hottest summer days. Never heard a better sounding V6 and probably never will. You would endlessly play with the paddles just to hear it blip and rev-match.
Hey ! I follow you since a long time! Niiice video as always. I know since a long time that I want an f-type in awd and I have few question. I know that you'rs is in rwd and i wanted to know if the awd make a lot of difference in weight feel in the v6. Otherwise I still can't decide between v8 and v6 ... Their both heavy and I don't know if the weight difference is noticeable. Furthermore i think if 575 horsepower is too much for small winding roads but i don't know since I didn't drove a car with this much power. So I refer to you. Do you think the v6 awd worth it versus a awd v8 awd for a road with a lot of corners? Or the weight difference is too minimal?
first of all thank you very much. Interesting question. If you consider buying a V6 I would anytime go for a RWD model. The power is not like over the top that you need AWD. The linear power output gives you plenty of grip as well. If you go for the V6 I would defenitely buy a V6S / P380. Not the base model. The V8s are defenitely heavier and you can feel it. So for tight corners I prefer the V6. If you don’t care about the loud noise I would recommend the P450 RWD that’s a pretty good sweet spot between power and usability if you want an V8.
@@Drive_Nationthank you very much for the answer. The reason why i want awd is that I live in a really rainy region and overall like the awd character^^...The only thing that scares me is the weight added that could altered the balanced feature of the v6 rwd . Is a v6 awd feel as lighter than v8 awd. Thank you for reply, it help me so much👌
Powerwise I don't think much power is necessary...You drive very well in the mountains and I don't think it can be much faster with a v8...I'm curious to know you're opinion on this 👌
@@odaferra6070 To answer you, I saw about this when regarding buying my 400 Sport. The difference between RWD and AWD is around 80 kilogram. And difference between V6 and V8 is around 120 kilograms (not sure). So, when you saw this, it’s difficult to think about the bad of feeling. But many people (cars specialist) says that this difference can be feel (I can send you a video link of a French TH-camr if you want)
Am hoping all the anti woke mob sell their F-Types am in the market for the V6 just waiting for the right spec to come along, really hoping prices fall a bit lol
@ yeah boohoo imagine not being on the fanboy wagon. I've actually owned a v6s and it was an engineering disaster. a fucking v8 block used for a v6. what a fucking joke. slower than a fucking vw touareg. only good parts were the zf8 and the brakes.
the sound quality is absolutely insane!
Now driving my second F-Type V6. Honestly you cannot stop smiling when you drive these things!!
I'm considering an f type. Have you found reliability OK?
@smitabhmoitra5726 yes no issues whatsoever ! :)
@smitabhmoitra5726 very reliable cars. No issues at all. Go for it
@@Drive_Nation Yes very reliable (I hope so!)
Mine has arrived 1 week ago, but I didn't have the time to enjoy with (only 1 evening)
THIS is why we say electric cars have no soul
I love this. You did an excellent job of showcasing the F-type in your video. Bravo!
Thank you very much
@@Drive_Nation Having no background music is a good choice. We want authenticity, as it allows us to truly experience it.
I wish they never made the V8 because it overshadowed the V6 when the V6 suited the looks & everything way more.
Naaaah the V8 is way meaner, actually sounds like a jaguar
Wonderful video, beautiful can and sonorous soundtrack. This must have been a treat for the driver.
The Auto V6 sounds amazing but the manual sounds even better without the farting between gear changes IMO. Brilliant video. Keep them coming.
Picking mine up in a week! so hyped
Which MY and Engine?
@ 2018 v6 340hp. planning to get some exhaust work done and upgrade pullys to be able to handle a harder tune
Sounds as beautiful as it looks 🔥

Wow! Great clips with awesome sound. Good job 👍
Dein Video ist echt mega geworden, und die Strecke ein Traum da muss ich auch mal hin mit meinem.f type 😎
vielen vielen dank. ich kann einen roadtrip mit dem ftype nur empfehlen :)
Great video
😢 It’s been 4 months… Hopefully the Jags returns soon!
Can you reduce bangs and crackles?, while i like the sound, not fan of constant crackles
If you drive in snow mode the crackles will be a lot less :)
@@Drive_Nation in that case does it close some exhaust valve or engine note remains same?
If you can open the valves manually the sound is still in loud mode
Great sound! Is this the toll road to the Drei Zinnen?

Beautiful sound!! What year is the car? Has it been registered in Europe?
2018 car without OPF Registered in Europe.
@ without OPF can you pass the periodic reviews in Europe?
Of course!
OPF just came in August 2018. so if you will buy a F-Type Before this Date you will not have an OPF

How did you record the exhaust so perfectly?

@@Drive_Nation My only concern is the storage space xD
I wonder if it´s enough for a roadtrip with 2 people

This is the 400 sport v6
But, if I'm not mistaken it's a P400!
Correct!
Jeez pleased I didn't get the 2.0 😂
Good Boy :D
Is this stock?
Yes
@@Drive_Nationis this the type s or which model is it
Its a 400 Sport. So basically a V6s
I made a test drive in a Jaguar F-Type V6 ....... in my opinion .....it´s too loud.......you can´t drive it silently.....for me....a no go
Not an issue with the V8. Can drive it silently. Maybe the valve has failed.
Maybe the valve failed or exhaust modified. My mates v8 can be driven quietly with closed valve.
yeah it's annoying especially when starting the engine it opens the valves just for show and bothers all your neighbors

To loud its a sports car buy. Peugeot then to slow 0.60 48 seconds really slow
it's too fucking slow
