+Ashit Yadav Eye on the prize, dude. If it's what you truly want. My best friend just bought one today. I watched him study like crazy for the past 8 years in med school and residency. He's now an Anesthesiologist making 350k/year and just started working about 3 months ago. He gave up a lot to become a doctor but I can tell you now he's finally receiving the benefits of all his hard work and dedication and is pretty happy about it. It was a tough road for him, but it can be worth it in the end if it's what you're truly passionate about. Good luck, mate.
+theRONnery that is so nice to ear. Felicitation to your friend. It is so easy to drop university but you need to kick your ass to continue. Glad to ear. Felicitation to him again !
+theRONnery WTF kind of country is that 350k as a doctor ? Here in France only the best surgeons at the top of their career can hope that... What in the actual fuck kind of country is that ? 350k Pesos ?!
+Kaisuke971 Haha currency is different everywhere, man. Anesthesiologists are one of the top paid doctors over here. 350k is just in California (it's lower pay in Los Angeles), but in some other states where no one wants to work I've seen job postings for 500-600k+. Many doctors would rather work here in L.A. where the pay is lower but the lifestyle is a lot better (weather, things to do around the city, etc).
Bought my V6 at the start of 2020, exact same spec as above, red with the black accents. My first ever performance car and being in my 20's meant insurance was not cheap. All that being said, the best decision I've ever made. You can't put a price on the smile it gives you every time you get in, that feeling really is priceless
Years later it still looks as beautiful as the day it was unveiled. And now, thanks to the depreciation gods, the thing goes for less than Cayman money. Coupe, great sound, Timeless design, great driving dynamics, 380hp and all for less than a bare bones entry level Cayman from the same year.
i agree with you dude. this video made me buy this car. i pick it up tomorrow. this is truly inspirational. the sincere passion is like no other video i have seen.... love this guy!
I have been owning a grey Jaguar F-type coupe V6 for 7 years now, I still feel lucky to drive around with it, the car still makes me smile from starting up and hearing its beautiful roaring sound to looking at it while parked in my garage. One of the most amazing designs and the best V6 sound for sure.
i have been watching this video like twice a year since i was 15 years old and i turn 20 this summer and now i own Jaguar xf and still grinding for that car. Beautiful video.
***** yeah no. E46 M3 sound like shit factory wise unless you do delete the rasp, add el diablo muffler,ar 20 resonators, and borla pipes. I own a E46 M3.
+Lythunder That's because the M4 is more refined and doesn't need a cheating fart-cannon exhaust option to amplify the backfire and make it sound *good. *subjective
+Richard Harrold no arguments there. I'm really not impressed with the M4 at all, but it doesn't rely on loud popping backfires from a tuned exhaust that makes as much noise as possible. I looked at a 911, vantage, m4, and this Jag (but the V8 version) before settling on the V8 twin turbo SL500. Super refined, doesn't sound like it's farting. Just smooth V8 grumble. Most manufacturers are strapping turbos to smaller engines these days, Mercedes are doing it to their big ones, lol.
+Richard Harrold The SL500 dropped from 4.9 to 4.7. And I'm not missing that 200cc when the electric powered twin turbo gives it more torque and BHP than the previous generation SL55. On top of this, 700nm of torque gives you a cruising speed of 1800rpm at 70mph in 7th so excellent fuel economy, better than my SL350 it replaced which was a V6 with half the power. The new SL63 is still a 5.5 V8 and the SL65 is still a V12. Not all Mercedes engines have been nerfed, and in the case of the SL500, it's had a HUGE improvement all round. The 3.5/3.7 SL350 has been replaced with a 3l twin turbo, again more power, lower economy, but as you say, this whole turbo craze feels like a step backwards. The vantage is a beautiful car, and I'll agree it looks better than the SL but I couldn't get over the bland interior and lack of options (and power vs the SL500). I do like the SL exterior, it looks a lot more aggressive than the previous generation (just remember to order it without that poxy spoiler) but the interior and options are hands down better than all the above, without question. Pictures don't do it justice, even the bog standard model comes with everything you'll ever need and looks amazing inside. And remember the SL is hard top convertible, not that I have used it much. The interior is so nice you simply don't feel like you need the roof down to have fun.
After watching this video several years ago I've finally purchased a bright red 2017 V6 S F-Type with black wheels pretty much identical to the one in the video. It's not quite perfect, but do I care, no...I love it!
in two years (2018) the 2014 v6 base f type will be about a 30k used car. ill put about 16k down and have a car payment of about $220 a month. Ill wrap it. And then I willl be the biggest baller in town not because im rich but because i make good decisions about cars hahhahaha :)
Barry i usually have a couple thousand in savings and i have like a $20,000+ credit limit for a worst case scenario that could temporarily pay for a crazy repair. i also have a japanese daily driver so if faced with a costly breakdown i could even park it for a couple months
I would buy this over a 911 too. I don't care if its slower. The way it looks is... amazing. And I can't believe that is a stock car, it sounds like something people have done some work to.
I would like to send the biggest virtual thumbs up to your camera guy and/or editor for these shoots. They are absolutely top quality - so good in fact that I sometimes expected Jeremy Clarkson to start narrating, really good job there!
I’ve watched this video SO many times since it came out and I can finally say I’ve bought one and I do not lie when I say it really does sound BIBLICAL!!
Laurynas S. sounds epic, but i'd prefer the v8 after i drove it. good thing people have different opinions. that way i can enjoy the sweet f-type v6 sound in front of my f-type r
The V6 wails, the V8 roars. I have both, there is no contest the V8 is visciously better. But the V6 is superb, it would have been a lot better if the block was smaller than the V8. As it sits, both the 6 and the 4 are only 100 lbs lighter.
I own an F-type, same colour and almost identical spec to the car in the video and i have to say its the best car i have ever owned. Puts a smile on your face every time you get in it.
I'm planning to get one once i'm finished with college. I'm about to go in for computer science and I've drooling over the Jaguar F-type and the F-type R for a while now, that exhaust is soooo good gives me shivers everytime I hear it.
I LOVE the F type, and what hurts is I love how the F type S exhaust looks compared to the R... for some reason having the dual centers make it look so much nicer to me compared to the dual pipes on each side of the car... it's almost too much in a way.
This car made me buy my 2017 F-Type (which I LOVE!).. Lease is over and I just ordered a 2020 V8 550hp after test driving all competitors. There is nothing like the f-type still! Amazing video
I feel like this review convinced a lot of people... its actually kinda scary how many. Hi friend, how are you enjoying yours a year later, Im on year 2 with mine and I couldn't be happier.
Yeppp! Drove one yesterday! Was actually incredible... It made me very happy and feet were tingly when I got out :D but very uncomfortable car to sit in.
I'm not gonna say it's the best in history, but it sure is one of the best. Nissan/Infiniti's VQ35 and the GTR are, in my opinion, one of the greatest V6 sounds ever. And this is just personal preference, but the Camaro and Mustang have nice sounding V6s as well. Don't get me wrong, the F-Type V6 is AMAZING, but I'm not gonna say it's the best sounding V6 of all time. There are other V6s that can compete, like the GTR.
A gtr doesn't sound as good as the f type, (although it would be much faster) the twin turbos muffle a fair bit of the sound, a high revving, NA car would be likely comparable, like the straight six in an m3 csl or the flat 6 in a porsche 911
I agree! I have a g37s sedan with intakes and muffler delete and the amount of attention I get just from that is insane, and I have the 7spees auto with paddle shifters and the rev matching on the downshift are godly, on a cold day my dow shifts echoe a mile in diameter at least and to think nissan made the engine back in 2008 and was probably designed in 2006-2007 is just beyond me. A naturally aspirating engine making nearly 350hp and a stratospheric 7,600rpm is perfection on wheels
Your video, music and descriptions inspired me a lot. Finally I went for a V8. Anyhow also with the V6 it is one of the nicest sounding and looking cars ever.
People are actually surprised it's a Jaguar? They thought it was maybe a Porsche or perhaps even a Ferrari? THAT is crazy. Even if it was unknown and badge-less, I'd have faith that most of us would feel that it's a Jag.
I saw a nardo grey one go past me and my mate said is that an aston, then the exhaust popped and so did his face as he realised what I was talking to him about for the past hour haha
Having this & a 6.2 C63 would be heaven. The best sounding V6 & the best sounding V8 . A nimble British sportscar & a brutish German muscle car. Perfect!
I have watched and re-watched this video probably twenty times over the least year and keep coming back to it. This car is perfection and the passion you showed in this video is the same I experienced when I drove it. It's absolute bliss. Thank you
Hello Alex, Just like to say thanks for this great video. It convinced me to buy a v6s three years ago nearly and still very much in love with it today.
Habe ihn die letzten 2 Tage zur Probe gefahren. Einen 2017 er. Gebraucht. I fall in love. Unbelievable. The best video about an emotional car I have ever seen. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I bought a used 2015 F-Type S about a year ago. At the time it had 19,000 miles and I bought it for less than 50% of the original sticker price and with a five-year no-deductable 100,000 mile warranty from CarMax. After adding 3M protection film and ceramic coating on the rest of the paint it's now my daily driver and I love it. If anything breaks in the next five years it will cost me nothing. Cars today all look the same. The F-Type breaks that mold and is an awesome car to own.
I remember Watching this thinking, wow this is an awesome sounding car, a few years later I own one.
Congratulations! I hope I can say the same one day.
Congrats bro 👍👍

I've got my F-Type S coupé since 2 months. What an awesome car... I don't have the words to describe the feeling when the V6 roars ... incredible ... The engine is directly connected to your smile, your eyes, your stomach and your hips. What an awesome car !
The second this car came out, its been my favorite car in production i don't care. Nothing in the range from $0 - $200k compares to it. V6 SC or V8 SC wouldn't mind either. From looks, to handling, to an ACTUAL sportscar. Greatest sound any car company could ever make, and the interior is the best in the business. I cri everytim
As of the 26th of July this year I got to drive my dream car the 2016 jaguar f type s awd convertible because the dealership found it was my dream car and that it eas my birthday. The audio on this video doesn't give the car the justice it deserves. You really do need to hear it in person to really 100% appreciate the sound. Handles like a god, built like a god, looks like a god, sounds like a god, and it just plain damn fast! Makes me want to work even harder to get this car.
This is extremely beautifully shot, edited, and written, wow CT has definitely improved. Well done.
I ended up gettting one thanks to this video. But however it has been a year, and I am still here watching this piece of art. I love my F-Type!
I have watched this video so many times since it was first posted years back- I can finally say I'm picking my F-Type up in 3 days time!
above all, ITS A JAAAAG
'I'm so sorry, I ran over your dog...' *gasp* '...in my Jaaaag!' 'Oh, never mind'
I cried during the last running clip, this is the first time a car can make me this emotional
everytime i heard that sound i got goosebumps! is it normal?
*****
well said
Has been my favourite car for years. Now I finally own one and get to listen to this every day
Crazy seeing Alex here knowing he's now had a kid haha - absolutely love this car, watched this many times and can't believe this video is now 9yrs old... came to watch once more after just finishing the last ever Grand Tour episode
This guy is the next Jeremy Clarkson, the funny thing is I have been sitting in front of my screen for the past half an hour trying to type something about this video and this is what I came up with. Normally it takes me a few secs. Keep up with who you are mate and you will shine over all other car reviewers, trust me. By the way i'm not British so don't take me saying " MATE" as me being British.
Very much appreciate the kind words, buddy! :) Don't forget about Ethan who does all the filming and the entire edit too ;)
The next Jeremy Clarkson, that's a bit insulting isn't it?. Clarkson may have made a lot of money, but you have to admit that he is an arrogant blowhard.
rdvideoclips Well true but i'm talking about general appeal and that young man doing the review is best in class and that's what Mr Clarkson has appeal.
rdvideoclips Many famous people are when you meet them or see them outside of their craft. He isn't special in this regard.
I m 22 year old I gave up my time wasting things to work hard and study more be a good doctor and earn buy this and i just see 2min of this video everytime i m feel lazy and switch off and get back to my lifeI want to own this be in it hear it and drive it No facebook no iternet no shit no youtube only working harder day by day The day i relax feel going down i just came here n see this videoHope i can get it one day if not i make sure i reach to that point that i will be near it All the best to you guys n car throttle for inspiring me One day if i own it i will surely let you know Just wait for it
+Ashit Yadav Eye on the prize, dude.
+Ashit Yadav Good luck to you my friend
Got the baddest goosebumps right now 😍😍😍😍
+lambosuperl worst
I've watched this video like, what? 20 times now? I still love it.
I keep coming back to this video. I feel that out of all the reviews on the f-type v6, this video does it the most justice.
i agree with you dude. this video made me buy this car. i pick it up tomorrow. this is truly inspirational. the sincere passion is like no other video i have seen.... love this guy!
Wow, that's great to hear! Enjoy the car.
T HOFF congratulations
Such an incredible looking car. It was impossible to live up to the E Type styling, but they did it.
You will get it sooner
Listen to this lovely 3-litre engine, now back to your M4 now back at this lovely one, now back to M4. Sadly your M4 doesn't sound like this.
***** yeah no. E46 M3 sound like shit factory wise unless you do delete the rasp, add el diablo muffler,ar 20 resonators, and borla pipes.
I own a E46 M3.
Lythunder Nice old spice ref :D
I never fully appreciated this car until now. Also, I tip my hat to you for a superbly produced video. Top Gear future presenter hopefully!
I've watched this video about 20 times and I still don't get sick of it
Awesome :)
Saaaame
I remember watching this review when it first came out. It is still one of my favourite car reviews of all time and I don’t get bored of watching it!
After watching this video several years ago I've finally purchased a bright red 2017 V6 S F-Type with black wheels pretty much identical to the one in the video. It's not quite perfect, but do I care, no...I love it!
10th time to watch this... sounds so good and the music wow
+leeyang1990 Wait until you get to drive one. I want one now. I need one!
If you’ve ever played Tiger Woods 2006. It’s basically that sound track
Same!
@@valmirius thx!! :)
2:56 It actually made me cry its so beautiful.
in two years (2018) the 2014 v6 base f type will be about a 30k used car. ill put about 16k down and have a car payment of about $220 a month. Ill wrap it. And then I willl be the biggest baller in town not because im rich but because i make good decisions about cars hahhahaha :)
ill prob try to get one with either a little warranty left or get a warranty through the used car dealership for it
That's exactly what I'll do (manual for me) :)
Mario F. good man. Another sweet car that will be insanely affordable in 2 years is a Cayman. Or a ghibli
Barry i usually have a couple thousand in savings and i have like a $20,000+ credit limit for a worst case scenario that could temporarily pay for a crazy repair. i also have a japanese daily driver so if faced with a costly breakdown i could even park it for a couple months
Renegade Nielsen I just love the sound of the F type and I think a manual will age well (it has an elegant, classic sports car look to it) :)
I love the sound this car makes.....it's amazing that a car exhaust can make you close your eyes and just take it in.
Back in 2020 to appreciate this again. This video gave me chills back in the day
I would buy this over a 911 too. I don't care if its slower. The way it looks is... amazing. And I can't believe that is a stock car, it sounds like something people have done some work to.
This review is better than TopGear's review of the F-Type
Woooo :)
Said something very relevant. It's how a car makes you feel. A Tesla goes 0-60 faster but F that.
Another month to go....And finally gonna purchase my dream Jaguar F-type P380. Worth the wait. Hopefully get the 2018/2019 model. Budget of 45K.
E46 M3 had one hell of a soundtrack, and it was purely induction, no fancy flaps...
For me it sounds better than that screaming V8 version.
Laurynas S. your mom screaming sounds better than the v8
Laurynas S. sounds epic, but i'd prefer the v8 after i drove it. good thing people have different opinions. that way i can enjoy the sweet f-type v6 sound in front of my f-type r
Yes, and that's why I got the V6 in my RRS
The V6 wails, the V8 roars. I have both, there is no contest the V8 is visciously better. But the V6 is superb, it would have been a lot better if the block was smaller than the V8. As it sits, both the 6 and the 4 are only 100 lbs lighter.
V6 over V8?!
I saw this video probably 50 times - test drove the V6 and the V8. Went for the v8 ! Absolutely love this video - thanks for the inspiration. Cheers !
I own an F-type, same colour and almost identical spec to the car in the video and i have to say its the best car i have ever owned. Puts a smile on your face every time you get in it.
If anyone down votes this they should be banned from TH-cam... A+ (I'v had TH-cam for years and never felt the need to comment until now.)
Thank you very much Neil.
It's not that serious.
GTFO drake
+Nathan Gray You "gtfo" you child
+Neil Kutensky I almost voted it down. Too much sound effects in the beginning. I want to hear the F-Type, and only the F-Type in the rest of my life!
from every angle this car looks and sounds the business
Without a doubt the best ever film on the f-type. Ah..heart says I want one more than anything else ever.
I am an Audio Engineer AND a Petrol-head. So technically I'm a fuse of Alex and Ethan... sooo imagine the love I feel for it
I'm planning to get one once i'm finished with college.
My son: daddy is that a gun a a firework?
Me: No son. That's the sound of beautiful history roaming the streets.
Breaks my heart to know that Hybrids will take over the world someday. 💔
Yeshwan Gungah *full electric, and all the faster for it.
Watched this for a 100th time and still love it. By far one of THE BEST videos on the internet right now.
This car made me buy my 2017 F-Type (which I LOVE!).. Lease is over and I just ordered a 2020 V8 550hp after test driving all competitors. There is nothing like the f-type still! Amazing video
Your review convinced me to buy actually buy one!
Wow, how are you finding it!
Yep, me too. Have it nearly 2 years, still in love
@@amirpenkar947 great car, no issues. Even better in convertible, some noise with the roof down
I feel like this review convinced a lot of people... its actually kinda scary how many. Hi friend, how are you enjoying yours a year later, Im on year 2 with mine and I couldn't be happier.
Absolutely enjoy every minute I take it out for a spin! Wondering if I should get ceramic coating...🤔
Yeppp! Drove one yesterday! Was actually incredible... It made me very happy and feet were tingly when I got out :D but very uncomfortable car to sit in.
I go on holiday with mine... Never had pain, not even after a whole day driving.
After a day driving, I am tired... It is a very intense car.
Lost Vegas it's like buying an F-22 with propellers.
Craig J maybe not stock but put exhaust ok both cars and see how much crazier the GTR sounds
Every now and then I come back to watch this video. It just screams passion!
Your video, music and descriptions inspired me a lot. Finally I went for a V8. Anyhow also with the V6 it is one of the nicest sounding and looking cars ever.
beautifully shot and edited video.
I’ve watched vid so many times. Picking up my f-type in two weeks... ❤️
How is it?
People are actually surprised it's a Jaguar? They thought it was maybe a Porsche or perhaps even a Ferrari? THAT is crazy. Even if it was unknown and badge-less, I'd have faith that most of us would feel that it's a Jag.
I saw a nardo grey one go past me and my mate said is that an aston, then the exhaust popped and so did his face as he realised what I was talking to him about for the past hour haha
You mispronounced it, it's a Jaaaagggggggggg
+Huey Camus i ran over your dog....im my Jaaaaaggggggjj
Having this & a 6.2 C63 would be heaven. The best sounding V6 & the best sounding V8 .
A nimble British sportscar & a brutish German muscle car. Perfect!
The growl of that exhaust plus the devilish smile of the front end is just a perfect combination.
Alex: The Best V6 Exhaust Note In History
Phil: Am I A Joke To You?!
INCREDIBLE!!!
*said as Jeremy Clarkson* The V8 version is brilliant, but I likee thiss
This video must have sold so many F-Types. The best commercial Jaguar could wish for..
I have watched and re-watched this video probably twenty times over the least year and keep coming back to it. This car is perfection and the passion you showed in this video is the same I experienced when I drove it. It's absolute bliss. Thank you
The way she snorts changing gears 😍
It's almost like Jaguar just straight piped all of their F-Types from the cat back as they left the factory.
they pretty much did
You should test 6speed manual version
Hello Alex,
Just like to say thanks for this great video.
It convinced me to buy a v6s three years ago nearly and still very much in love with it today.
Peter Standley do you still have it?
Two years after you asked yes
Alex you and this video are the reason I got my f-type. Best car I have driven and owned.
Please do a best inline 6 exhaust notes! RB's and 2JZ for the win!
0:36 Music please ?
I like
Music? The entire video is music!
Beautiful, beautiful video!
