PRE CLEANING DUCATI 900 MONSTER HORIZONTAL PISTON

Since I had to pull it apart to replace the faulty cylinder head studs, I figured I'll clean it up. For almost 30k miles it was in great shape!

Careful with scotbright pads they have abrasives in them

Yep, basically a 600 grit spongy sandpaper.

No it was a light lube, if I recall correctly, WD40.

Thanks for the concern but this is a "pre clean" meaning right after I pull the cylinder off and rebuild everything. I just like cleaning the piston while it's being held in place for me.

And for what it's worth, there wasn't any debris in the rings when I took it apart.
