It was the french Supra. If I remember right, it was incredibly light while beeing powerful in the same time. But it was underrated and suffered from it's french reputation.
The reason a lot of these look super dated even for a 90's car is because many of them are actually 80's cars that didn't make it to market until the early 90's due to delays/funding (it's similar to how the DeLorean is considered stereotypical 80's despite being a design from the 70's).
Had Yamaha produced that car and raced it they would have easily had a shot at being the fastest brand 0-400kmh-0 today. The aerodynamics of the car were ahead of its time, and the engine was both incredibly well tuned given the available technology, and very powerful, light, and the RPMs were insane. It was nearly the 2021 Aston Martin Valkyrie back in 1994. Yamaha could be the absolute best in motorsports or at the very least pioneered new technology for other companies to imitate or buy directly.

@@matthewb03-s4b It's not illegal to produce them. What’s changed in the last decade have been European design laws requiring the front end of cars to be more readily deformable-a move intended to protect pedestrians in case of a crash. The European design laws made it harder to produce them because they wanted better protection for pedestrians with front end design and since the US manufacturers have a stake in Europe they followed suit.
