When I was 17 I wrote several power rangers stories at the time of MMPR. I added a 7th ranger to the team of 6. Another female who was purple and her zord was Titanus. I later added two further rangers, one white (before the show did it) who had stegosaurus powers and grey who had veloceraptor powers. The white ranger was originally the teams command centre advisor (before Billy did it in Zeo) and Grey had a similar back story to Tommy. It was three books and culminated with a battle with the Crimson Ranger who was just a super powered evil ranger that killed a lot of people
Recently I wrote a power rangers story called power rangers nation force it consisted of 20 rangers and 2 others called the lost rangers aka the villains. the 2nd lost ranger was a creator of the morphin grid and over 6 Trillion years old

They had laser guns similar in appearance to 6 shooters. I think I had Rito Revolto as the boss, he's an idiot but he was free as Rita and company were still sealed and Zedd wasn't interested in Earth yet. I only did a couple of monsters, a Bigfoot and a Living Totem Pole or something. I had Trini and Zack see a racist sign outside a saloon, walk in and beat up the whole bar! They meet a Man named Wyatt who invites them to come to Tombstone to help him clean up the town. LOL
I made up my own PR universe where Mighty Morphin would be renamed Dino Force and would be the third PR team, which would be part of the 5 Part Mighty Morphin Saga.

I remember when the first Power Rangers movie was announced, there was a rumor going around at my school that it would introduce a seventh Ranger, a female Purple Ranger named Jamie who was supposed to have piloted Titanus. This was before even the Thunderzords were introduced, so naturally we all assumed the movie would feature the Dinozords. We also thought it would be set within the same continuity as the show, featuring the same sets and spandex costumes.

So interesting. I've never heard about this before. I doubt that they would get a second team. If they could, then maybe they could've brought the Green Ranger back as someone else. And a team of 13ish rangers seems quite impractical. It even looked like Kyuranger that came out years later had a hard time carrying that many. IMO I think it make sense to use it as insurance, or maybe a possible villain team? Who knows
Remember that Dino Charge/Supercharge had 10 rangers and SPD had 9 rangers (14 if you count the A-Squad)! Getting 13 rangers in one Power Rangers series would be relatively easy! Also, I have heard that Zyuranger(the sentai version of MMPR) was originally supposed to have 10 rangers! It would have been nice to have that in MMPR!
If I remember correctly, the Kat Ranger was an Orange Ranger! There is a Brown Ranger in the Ryusoulger series! Hopefully, we get that in Dino Fury!!!!!
Honestly recycling suits and helmets doesn't have to be horrible. While not really distinguishable enough to immediately differentiate from the originals, the Power Rangers Dino Force Brave/Kyoryuger Brave Suits and Helmets don't look bad at all.
If Haim Saban wasn't such a cheapskate after the success of MMPR Season 1, then... 1. He would give his actors a raise of $1200 per week instead of $600 per week. 2. He would rent Dairanger footage and the suits from Toei. He would also rent the mechas of Dairanger to create original scenes for Season 2 instead of using stock footage. He would also do the same with Kakuranger.
My one and only (very short-lived, I think I only drew them once) Power Rangers fan character back when I was a kid was an Orange Ranger who had an ankylosaurus zord. For some reason my kid self just didn't really grasp the idea of fanfiction being a thing until after Pokémon came around -- before that I'd write my own original stories, and sometimes random characters from shows, games, etc. would show up for a scene or two (usually with no explanation of how they got there, even when it's as odd of a situation as Luke Skywalker randomly showing up on modern-day Earth) but the story pretty much never revolved around them -- so I never really did anything with the idea.
The writers could create a new set of coins, that actually at one time protected Eltar after Zordon and his run as first Ranger. These are the first six coins that Ninjor created with assistance of the Grid and use the unused colours. The Zords being: A Stegosaurus (Right Leg) A Spinosaurus (Head and Body) A Raptor (Left Arm) A Azhdarchidae (Wings) A Mosasaur (Left Leg) A Ankylosaurus (Right Arm) The MegaZord can be classed as complete without the Azhdarchidae Zord. A similar idea with Dairanger. You take the original suit designs and change the belt to coloured crystals instead. The Dairanger have two suits: >Modern Chi Suit that Billy is responsible for creating via the modern Chi Morpher, designed to reduce Chi usage, but isn't as powerful. >Ancient Chi Suit, it requires more Chi to activate, but the power it has is twice the modern suit. You change the Dairanger Zords to Mythical Animals that Billy creates via the updated Bio-Zord project: >Red Griffin (Head, Body and Wings) >Blue Chinese Dragon (Left Leg) >Yellow Sphinx (Right Leg) >Black Turtle (Right Arm) >Pink Tiger (Left Arm) >Orange Unicorn (Extra weaponry mode) The turtle has a snake that can become a Zord weapon. Later when they (and the technology behind them) are destroyed by a stronger threat, the rangers have to find new Zords, a Pai Zhuq master arrives, they attempt to release the spirit animals, but something else comes to them, the one thing that connects the team is at one time they cared for animals in some way, so the spirits of these animals have revealed their presence to their care giver and become Zords, forming the Chi-Spirit Megazord. The Chi-Spirit Zords also have another function, in their original animal sizes they can assist their Ranger to preform a range of tasks, like tracking and as a Power up mode: >Red Dog (Right Leg) >Yellow Bird (Head) >Pink Cat (Left Leg) >Orange Lizard (Body) >Black Spider (Right Arm) >Blue Beetle (Left Arm)
I know my friends and I as brats thought of the colors Brown, Purple, Orange, and Turquoise as a second team of rangers :P We never settled on a dino theme so we imagined they were like blank slates with no motifs and had a whoooole different command center elsewhere!
This is akin to a lot of the trademarks that Pokemon and Game Freak trademarks. It is basically to protect the IP. I don't think there was necessarily anything beyond that here either. And so far of the trademark names for Pokemon that have been shown to be more than just a trademark was Pokemon Pink Version was at some point in the planning stages (as a fourth international version of Gen I was planned (which would have been the fifth Japanese version.))

I watched MMPR later as a kid and when they introduced the metallic armor, I thought it would be the movie suit because it is an armored version of the MMPR team suits.

we did get mighty morphin purple and orange rangers in a power rangers comic, bulk became the purple ranger with the power of the enteladon and skull became the orange ranger with the power of the terror bird (they never indicated which terror bird it was)

For the silver ranger a Titanosaurus, the gold ranger an ankylosaurus, the brown ranger a plesiosaurus, the orange ranger a velociraptor and the purple ranger a Stegosaurus later eagle.

I used to watch VR Troopers and when I saw The battle Grid suits i always thought Red Helmet but just wasn't sure. They only added the battle grid. Because the lacked use able footage for their show.
I just really wish Saban wouldn't have screwed up the series like he did. There's a very good reason why the shows' massive popularity was so extremely brief (I'll get to that later). Many people will probably be quite shocked by me claiming it was an extremely brief period of time, and this is because a single year seems like 5 years when you're a young child. In reality, the show was huge only from the beginning of 94 (yes, it started in late 93, but 94 is when it *really* started to get hot) to the end of 95. No joke, that really is it. Zeo started in the beginning of 96, and although it was still very popular, it was already declining by the time the very first episode aired. Compare this to the previous red hot kids show, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which was extremely popular from 87 to 91. Not only that, but it's popularity cooled off more slowly then Power Rangers, as it was still quite popular all throughout 92 and 93 until Power Rangers took over everything. So why do I think Saban screwed up Power Rangers, and in what way? Well, it was a few different things they did which were more moderate screw ups rather then huge ones, but when added together they destroyed what could have been a fiery hot show for 5 or 6 years. First mistake was Saban not giving Austin, Walter and Thuy the raise they asked for. That was the first blow to the show, but their replacements (except for Rocky) were about equally as good. They got lucky, as it softened the blow. It was never quite the same after that, but it only hurt the show a little and wasn't enough to kill it's popularity by any means. Second blow was getting rid of the Zyuranger costumes and original villians (not yet completely, but in large part), and at this point the show had deviated a bit too much from what it originally was. This is were it's popularity started to tank, and pretty quickly too. But hey, some of the original team was still around, and most of the replacements for those that left where great. Also, you still had Angel Grove, and Austin returned for the last half of the season! So it wasn't completely dead yet, just mostly dead. But 97 was the final nail in the coffin. One could deal with the kid (although he was an annoyance), but getting rid of the entire team and replacing all of them (except the most bothersome one) with a team was the final straw. The new team wasn't even near as good. The chemistry wasn't on the same level. In Space brought the ratings back up and was pretty popular, but it was nowhere even close to where it was at it's peak in 95 or even in 94, and Angel Grove barely even existed. So yeah, none of this stuff should have happened, and if it hadn't, it would have been super hot for much longer then it was.
Here is my lost team of Power Rangers: Rocky(Gold Ranger(plesiosaurus)), Adam(Silver Ranger(dimetrodon)), Aisha(Orange Ranger(stegosaurus)), Katherine (Purple Ranger (spinosaurus)), Tanya(Gray Ranger(carnotaurus)), and Justin(Brown Ranger(quetzalcoatlus)). My ideas for this auxiliary group. Purple Ranger - Kassandra. The weird outcast prankster who finally finds herself fitting into a group with this team. Weilds the power nunchaku, her zord is the Parasaurolophous. Gray Ranger - Jacob. The comic book geek that always dreamed of being a superhero and it becomes a reality. Weilds the power shield, his zord is the Stegosaurus. Brown Ranger - Tobey. A down on his luck and poor boy, just trying to get through school despite financial troubles, wishes to use his powers to gain enough fortune to help his family. Weilds the power mace, his Zord is the Ankylosaurus. Orange Ranger - Rheese. The athlete of the group, trying to drive himself to perfection due to the expectations of his parents, his Ranger duties complicate things, positively and negatively. He weilds the power trident, his Zord is the Therizinosaurus. Silver Ranger - Logan. The mysterious and quiet loner of the group who keeps to himself, struggling to maintain his responsibilities as the second in command. He weilds the power tonfa, his Zord is the Velociraptor. Gold Ranger - Drake. Despite being a cocky bad boy, he also bears a brave heart of gold and is the groups stoic leader. He weilds the power katana and his Zord is the Giganotosaurus.
another reeason those colors could have been trademarked is so another company count make a power rangers show with those colors, by owning all colors and power rangers no other company can make "power Rangers" and aything looking like power rangers that used any of the trademarked colors count be used
Very cool concept! Maybe instead of Power Rangers being replaced, they could have been added tp the team, instead! The Gold Ranger could have been Adam Park with a Giganotosaurus. The Silver Ranger could have been Rocky DeSantos with a Dilophosaurus. The Grey Ranger could have been Aisha with a Stegosaurus. The Purple Ranger could have been Kat Hillard with a Dilophosaurus. The Orange Ranger could have been Bulk with a Brontosaurus. The Brown Ranger could have been Skull with an Ankylosaurus. They could have had their own Megazord known as the Jurassic Megazord. All but Adam's Giganotosaurus would form the regular Jurassic Megazord. Then when Adam's Zord combined with the Jurassic Megazord, it would be known as the Giga Jurassic Megazord. A Plesiosaurus on wheels, would be an extra Zord like Titanus. When the Giga Jurassic Megazord combined with that, it would be the Jurassic Ultra Zord. Then they would get different variants with the 2nd Team of MMPR Rangers' Zords combined with the original ones and then, even both Ultra Zords would combine and be called: Ultimate Max Zord. Also, weapons! Adam would get Power Nunchucks, Rocky would get a Power Spear, Kat would get a Power Staff (A Bo that can be split into 2, like Billy's Power Lance), Aisha would get a Power Boomerang, Bulk would get a Power Cutlass and Skull would get a Power Slingshot. As Power Rangers, Bulk and Skull would still be clumsy. However, their clumsiness would result in something positive instead of something negative. Like Bulk trips over his own feet and falls toward the monster and his Power Cutless connects with the Monster and he defeats it by himself. Bulk and Skull would bring comedy to the team.
No offense but Bulk and Skull being Power Rangers just sounds weird to me! The characters Richie and Curtis(Zack's cousin) from MMPR season 2 make better sense to me!

I remember when the first Power Rangers movie was announced, there was a rumor going around at my school that it would introduce a seventh Ranger, a female Purple Ranger named Jamie who was supposed to have piloted Titanus. This was before even the Thunderzords were introduced, so naturally we all assumed the movie would feature the Dinozords. We also thought it would be set within the same continuity as the show, featuring the same sets and spandex costumes.

Remember that Dino Charge/Supercharge had 10 rangers and SPD had 9 rangers (14 if you count the A-Squad)! Getting 13 rangers in one Power Rangers series would be relatively easy! Also, I have heard that Zyuranger(the sentai version of MMPR) was originally supposed to have 10 rangers! It would have been nice to have that in MMPR!
If I remember correctly, the Kat Ranger was an Orange Ranger! There is a Brown Ranger in the Ryusoulger series! Hopefully, we get that in Dino Fury!!!!!

Honestly recycling suits and helmets doesn't have to be horrible. While not really distinguishable enough to immediately differentiate from the originals, the Power Rangers Dino Force Brave/Kyoryuger Brave Suits and Helmets don't look bad at all.
If Haim Saban wasn't such a cheapskate after the success of MMPR Season 1, then...
1. He would give his actors a raise of $1200 per week instead of $600 per week.
2. He would rent Dairanger footage and the suits from Toei. He would also rent the mechas of Dairanger to create original scenes for Season 2 instead of using stock footage. He would also do the same with Kakuranger.

My one and only (very short-lived, I think I only drew them once) Power Rangers fan character back when I was a kid was an Orange Ranger who had an ankylosaurus zord.
For some reason my kid self just didn't really grasp the idea of fanfiction being a thing until after Pokémon came around -- before that I'd write my own original stories, and sometimes random characters from shows, games, etc. would show up for a scene or two (usually with no explanation of how they got there, even when it's as odd of a situation as Luke Skywalker randomly showing up on modern-day Earth) but the story pretty much never revolved around them -- so I never really did anything with the idea.
The writers could create a new set of coins, that actually at one time protected Eltar after Zordon and his run as first Ranger.
These are the first six coins that Ninjor created with assistance of the Grid and use the unused colours.
The Zords being:
A Stegosaurus (Right Leg)
A Spinosaurus (Head and Body)
A Raptor (Left Arm)
A Azhdarchidae (Wings)
A Mosasaur (Left Leg)
A Ankylosaurus (Right Arm)
The MegaZord can be classed as complete without the Azhdarchidae Zord.
A similar idea with Dairanger. You take the original suit designs and change the belt to coloured crystals instead.
The Dairanger have two suits:
>Modern Chi Suit that Billy is responsible for creating via the modern Chi Morpher, designed to reduce Chi usage, but isn't as powerful.
>Ancient Chi Suit, it requires more Chi to activate, but the power it has is twice the modern suit.
You change the Dairanger Zords to Mythical Animals that Billy creates via the updated Bio-Zord project:
>Red Griffin (Head, Body and Wings)
>Blue Chinese Dragon (Left Leg)
>Yellow Sphinx (Right Leg)
>Black Turtle (Right Arm)
>Pink Tiger (Left Arm)

The turtle has a snake that can become a Zord weapon.
Later when they (and the technology behind them) are destroyed by a stronger threat, the rangers have to find new Zords, a Pai Zhuq master arrives, they attempt to release the spirit animals, but something else comes to them, the one thing that connects the team is at one time they cared for animals in some way, so the spirits of these animals have revealed their presence to their care giver and become Zords, forming the Chi-Spirit Megazord.
The Chi-Spirit Zords also have another function, in their original animal sizes they can assist their Ranger to preform a range of tasks, like tracking and as a Power up mode:

This is akin to a lot of the trademarks that Pokemon and Game Freak trademarks. It is basically to protect the IP. I don't think there was necessarily anything beyond that here either.
And so far of the trademark names for Pokemon that have been shown to be more than just a trademark was Pokemon Pink Version was at some point in the planning stages (as a fourth international version of Gen I was planned (which would have been the fifth Japanese version.))

I watched MMPR later as a kid and when they introduced the metallic armor, I thought it would be the movie suit because it is an armored version of the MMPR team suits.
I remember being upset that the metallic armor wasn't the suits they used in the movie... glitter just didn't cut it!

I just really wish Saban wouldn't have screwed up the series like he did. There's a very good reason why the shows' massive popularity was so extremely brief (I'll get to that later). Many people will probably be quite shocked by me claiming it was an extremely brief period of time, and this is because a single year seems like 5 years when you're a young child. In reality, the show was huge only from the beginning of 94 (yes, it started in late 93, but 94 is when it *really* started to get hot) to the end of 95. No joke, that really is it. Zeo started in the beginning of 96, and although it was still very popular, it was already declining by the time the very first episode aired. Compare this to the previous red hot kids show, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which was extremely popular from 87 to 91. Not only that, but it's popularity cooled off more slowly then Power Rangers, as it was still quite popular all throughout 92 and 93 until Power Rangers took over everything.
So why do I think Saban screwed up Power Rangers, and in what way? Well, it was a few different things they did which were more moderate screw ups rather then huge ones, but when added together they destroyed what could have been a fiery hot show for 5 or 6 years. First mistake was Saban not giving Austin, Walter and Thuy the raise they asked for. That was the first blow to the show, but their replacements (except for Rocky) were about equally as good. They got lucky, as it softened the blow. It was never quite the same after that, but it only hurt the show a little and wasn't enough to kill it's popularity by any means. Second blow was getting rid of the Zyuranger costumes and original villians (not yet completely, but in large part), and at this point the show had deviated a bit too much from what it originally was. This is were it's popularity started to tank, and pretty quickly too. But hey, some of the original team was still around, and most of the replacements for those that left where great. Also, you still had Angel Grove, and Austin returned for the last half of the season! So it wasn't completely dead yet, just mostly dead. But 97 was the final nail in the coffin. One could deal with the kid (although he was an annoyance), but getting rid of the entire team and replacing all of them (except the most bothersome one) with a team was the final straw. The new team wasn't even near as good. The chemistry wasn't on the same level. In Space brought the ratings back up and was pretty popular, but it was nowhere even close to where it was at it's peak in 95 or even in 94, and Angel Grove barely even existed. So yeah, none of this stuff should have happened, and if it hadn't, it would have been super hot for much longer then it was.
Here is my lost team of Power Rangers: Rocky(Gold Ranger(plesiosaurus)), Adam(Silver Ranger(dimetrodon)), Aisha(Orange Ranger(stegosaurus)), Katherine (Purple Ranger (spinosaurus)), Tanya(Gray Ranger(carnotaurus)), and Justin(Brown Ranger(quetzalcoatlus)). This would have made a great movie (Power Rangers: The Lost Rangers).

Purple Ranger - Kassandra. The weird outcast prankster who finally finds herself fitting into a group with this team. Weilds the power nunchaku, her zord is the Parasaurolophous.
Gray Ranger - Jacob. The comic book geek that always dreamed of being a superhero and it becomes a reality. Weilds the power shield, his zord is the Stegosaurus.
Brown Ranger - Tobey. A down on his luck and poor boy, just trying to get through school despite financial troubles, wishes to use his powers to gain enough fortune to help his family. Weilds the power mace, his Zord is the Ankylosaurus.
Orange Ranger - Rheese. The athlete of the group, trying to drive himself to perfection due to the expectations of his parents, his Ranger duties complicate things, positively and negatively. He weilds the power trident, his Zord is the Therizinosaurus.
Silver Ranger - Logan. The mysterious and quiet loner of the group who keeps to himself, struggling to maintain his responsibilities as the second in command. He weilds the power tonfa, his Zord is the Velociraptor.
Gold Ranger - Drake. Despite being a cocky bad boy, he also bears a brave heart of gold and is the groups stoic leader. He weilds the power katana and his Zord is the Giganotosaurus.

I came up with my own rangers a few months back last year

Very cool concept! Maybe instead of Power Rangers being replaced, they could have been added tp the team, instead! The Gold Ranger could have been Adam Park with a Giganotosaurus. The Silver Ranger could have been Rocky DeSantos with a Dilophosaurus. The Grey Ranger could have been Aisha with a Stegosaurus. The Purple Ranger could have been Kat Hillard with a Dilophosaurus. The Orange Ranger could have been Bulk with a Brontosaurus. The Brown Ranger could have been Skull with an Ankylosaurus. They could have had their own Megazord known as the Jurassic Megazord. All but Adam's Giganotosaurus would form the regular Jurassic Megazord. Then when Adam's Zord combined with the Jurassic Megazord, it would be known as the Giga Jurassic Megazord. A Plesiosaurus on wheels, would be an extra Zord like Titanus. When the Giga Jurassic Megazord combined with that, it would be the Jurassic Ultra Zord.
Then they would get different variants with the 2nd Team of MMPR Rangers' Zords combined with the original ones and then, even both Ultra Zords would combine and be called: Ultimate Max Zord.
Also, weapons! Adam would get Power Nunchucks, Rocky would get a Power Spear, Kat would get a Power Staff (A Bo that can be split into 2, like Billy's Power Lance), Aisha would get a Power Boomerang, Bulk would get a Power Cutlass and Skull would get a Power Slingshot. As Power Rangers, Bulk and Skull would still be clumsy. However, their clumsiness would result in something positive instead of something negative. Like Bulk trips over his own feet and falls toward the monster and his Power Cutless connects with the Monster and he defeats it by himself. Bulk and Skull would bring comedy to the team.
No offense but Bulk and Skull being Power Rangers just sounds weird to me! The characters Richie and Curtis(Zack's cousin) from MMPR season 2 make better sense to me!
