They have passed the PL test already regardless if they win the title or not. Now they need to overcome Bayern and if they do. Arsenal and Arteta are headed to greatness ahead.
When I used to put on Arsenal during quarantine, the lineup used to depress me. Now, Arsenal has one of the most recognizable and powerful squads in English primera liga, so I can give Arteta props there.
@@sirengobrian4405 Would you say Odegaard is a no.10, a playmaker, or a deep-lying orchestrator now? I haven't watched Arsenal much this season, the only game was the last one vs Man City, and that one didn't offer enough to make conclusions.
@@Coach-rq6jx I'd say he's an 8/10 hybrid I won't commit to one role , but he's clearly trying to be a 10 in the pass and an 8 in his pressing and tackling. There's more to it than that, but he's on paper our creative right sided 8.
@@Coach-rq6jx depends on the opposition we are facing, and the system we are using Sometimes he stays up there near Saka, sometimes he is the B2B midfielder, sometimes he switches position with Rice
I think Luton's manager said it best. Unlike the other two teams that are in the race, Arsenal is the only team that can play any way possible with different approach
Arteta such a unique footballing brain and his tactical evolution season upon season has been interesting to see. Him being under Moyes clearly shows with the way he coaches & embraces defensive side of the game & how he prioritizes physicality over technical ability more so than Pep. Rice Partey Kiwior Gabriel Tomiyasu White Timber all physical and athletic specimens playing in the spine & at FB. His Wenger influence also shows with how fluid Arsenal are at their best in the final 3rd & in middlefield & how different players contribute to goals. His obviously has similarities to Pep in possession & structurally but he's not a mere clone there are obvious differences.
The one thing that gives Arsenal a shot in UCL this time is their unpredictability in the style of play, opponents will never know which Arsenal that's gonna turn up.
Can you make a video of "current" real Madrid tactics it look like this since 5-6 games 4-2-2-2 wide with no striker but wingers and midfield box like de zerbis brighton. They have so many players on sides and open the def opponent for Runners behind like vini jr, rodrygo or brahim.
To be fair, that 4222 tactic has been the thing ever since the away loss vs Atletico in the league in September where our wide areas got swarmed by Lino and Llorente (First tried vs Osasuna in October, then vs Cadiz in November. It has been the go-to ever since). It was a slow and difficult process hindered multiple times because of Vini's and Bellingham's injuries and suspensions, but now that they're available, it's finally come to fruition. The Girona game was the prime example. Bellingham and Valverde protect the flanks very well. As much as I liked the diamond, this one is much more balanced and can give room to lightning-fast counterattacks.
Even tuchel ,whom people said would never be caught tactically, especially after winning the ucl in 2021 with Chelsea, was still caught out....arteta is a no exception
because opposition knew and figure out how to counter tuchel's and arteta's tactics. The matter is managers come to PL has to be innovative on the gameplan or else poor result for sure. City won the league last season actually because of new gameplan found by Pep
Arteta improve alot, his tactic more pragmatic and has more variant right now. If arsenal sign 3-5 right players next summer,we would be on par with city.
Excellent analysis as always, However like what it is being summarized - Arteta is very good at SOLVING problems. Solving problem is a reactive mode, and I am afread in a PL environment with Pep, this means Arsenal under Arteta Will Never get over the line. Simply because Pep is creating things where all his followers are just being reactive. Thus you always saw There are those few games Or period where team are taking time to solve Their problems and in process dropping points (like Home draw with Hotspurs Or Draw and Loss with Fulham)…with such a fine margin That means you will most likely always behind Peps Mancity come round 38
the 2-3-5 formation though isn't immune to transitions, take for example against Chelsea although they built with a back 3 but a 442 with two false 9s and wingers willing to be advanced of the former would exploit the space left behind by the fullbacks while also the team maintained a box midfield against arsenal's midfield box too
Despite losing the prem by only 2 points - all your points still made perfect sense. Arteta is getting closer and closer to success and a few more signings and adjustment to tactics will ensure atleast a great CL run and potentially even the premier league. “Next season FC” will bounce back.
I've appreciated what Arteta's done with Arsenal tactically. I've always questioned their mental toughness and grit in the last few games of the season and now taking on Alonzo's impressive Leverkusen's side in C.L..
😂good way to spin it as positive, arteta was forced into this as it s the obvious solution based on what he has: havetz is natural at false 9 and just very average as midfielder, then the sale of xhaka, havetz being more of a striker and partey injury, rice being less pf a progressive than partey meant that jorginho had to step in,, and given the type of player he is a pivot is his most logical position. Furthermore, jorginho is not the most physical player, and having him and zinchenko at the base of the box is risky so then kiwior steps and rice pften operates deep. Arteta made it work but it's the problem that he himself created (when he failed to replace xhaja), he essentially solved what he himself did in the first place, and thats good but I wouldn't go as far as hailing him for it. It also took him a long time to arrive to this logical solution in my opinion, and some points were lost along the way, but he eventually did and thats good. Still, playing a pirlo type role could be the way forward for arsenal but I still think that playing with two 8s with rice in dm is probably what s gonna happen, whether the second 8 is esr or someone else, we ll see
😂😂Who's we?? It seems you don't watch arsenal nor follow the players....Their mentality has changed since the winter break. We don't think we would win, we know we would because we are good.
@jimohabdulqudus4283 oh I don't doubt this squads mental strength. My issue is physical injuries. Previous Wenger teams har good mentality but we picked up crucial injuries at this stage
Basically their main strength is that right side. Last season, the only goal the scored at etihad came from that right side. I think over crowding the right side would do something great against them.
i do wanna say arsenal didn't really push man city last season. it didn't go down to the final game of the season like a liverpool side pushed man city in the past. man city practically won the league on a canter without even playing their game against chelsea and had games left. other than that. great video!

Its similar to City, just Arsenal have Havertz who can play as a 9-10 hybrid unlike Haaland . Its almost a 3-4-3 box with a false 9
