In Todays Vlog I make my way from
Portland parish all the way to St Thomas via route taxi. Fortunately i was met halfway through the journey by @ParishToursJamaica which i highly recommend for your needs if you come to the St.Thomas area. After a beautiful drive through Jamaica’s countryside we ended up in the area of Bath, Jamaica. This is Home to Bath Botanical Gardens as well as the famous Bath Fountain. These waters are said to have healing properties and is a well known place to visit for tourist and locals alike. This was my experience at this sacred place. Would you visit Bath fountain?

I appreciate that
I still have my pimento oil from there. When I went there I had so much pain in my knee from a torn ligament. I got the full massage with the oil the mud the full hot water. I felt amazing for the whole 2 weeks I was there. It works trust me
@@kellywarren2561 I need to get this oil. I heard multiple people say this!!
I’m glad this worked for you!
These videos get better and better 🔥🇯🇲

YES ❤video from my new fav youtuber 😍💯
Thank you quinn
in cab when you said "wow look at this view" you made the Jamaican in the car realize how beautiful his country is and he took a picture :)
Haha yes he did
The people in the east don't want the place to become too "touristy"so shhhhh😅😅😅Anyway, Portland,in particular, is the haunt and playground of the rich and famous who want privacy and a real getaway when they visit Jamaica. The parish is in fact regarded as the cradle of the tourist industry. This came about mainly through the banana industry, which was established and bananas being exported. In the early 1900s the famous American businessman and ship captain Lorenzo Dow Baker would accommodate tourists on the ships and take them to and from the island and the rest is history. Another famous person who played an important role in the early development of the tourist industry was British American actor Errol Flynn who introduced his friends and others to Jamaica Flynn owned large estates in Eastern Portland as well as Navy Island. The mansions/villas which you saw on your visit to Blue Lagoon have had persons such as Beyonce and Jay-Z etc,,etc, etc in residence.Just a note here ; Jamaica was the first country in the Western Hemisphere to commercially export bananas and those bananas came from Portland. Thanks for sharing another amazing adventure.
Wow such rich history thank you for this
Pojo please don't forget to visit the fountain of youth in the blue mountains mountains and go for a swim my friend and also turtle cove in Portland ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ll give it a check
PoJo is giving us the real 🇯🇲 Jamaica 🇯🇲. They have kept the place natural and rustic. Less stress on the environment 😌 👌 ❤❤
It’s a nice place
Man!!! From what I can see, this East side is amazing, I hope I’ll get to check it out! I’ll be in Jamaica next week!
It’s beautiful
Pojo I just discovered you a couple of days ago and I am enjoying your content. Your videos are so entertaining, educational and fun.

Hey Po'jo thanks for posting another video, it keeps us (me) from losing our shit and giving up. Your genuine reaction and feeling towards new places to explore is contagious to a point. Thanks brother and much love
Thank you very much for watching!
Jamaica is such a healing place; from the Irie laid back vibes to the natural springs the lovely beaches the good ganja and the delicious food. 🇯🇲Love it PoJo! You are taking me to places that I have never set foot 🦶 and I am Jamaican. Respect! The was you pronounced PopCaan’s name was Hilarious bro 😂😂😂😂😂😂

This reminds of Bath Spring here in St. John Barbados
I’ll have to check it out
This in Jamaica is different in the sense that the water is hot due to the dormant volcano and it's a mineral bath with healing properties.
Hi PoJo, thanks for showing the nicer side of Jamaica (my opinion :)) Please visit the Maroon village of Accompong in St Elizabeth.
Thanks for the tips!
I’ve always wanted to go check out one of the bath fountains and haven’t got there yet! It’s one of the things on my list next time I’m home 🇯🇲

I went to Bath fountain in 2012 it was the high light of my trip.
Visit German town
I realize that several of the locals who make a living at some of these spots across Jamaica , while having lots of enthusiasm to share information with TH-camrs, tend to give inaccurate information concerning dates and sometimes events surrounding these spots. For example, Po'Jo was told by the sixty year old man at the spring that the water was discovered in 1409 by a runaway slave. That is inaccurate. First of all, Columbus and his bands of thieves happened upon Jamaica in 1494. Secondly, the English took over the island from the Spanish in 1655. It was later after the English took over the island that the system of plantation slavery was established. Based on information from the Jamaica National Heritage Trust, there doesn't seem to be an exact date for the story, however, the place was discovered by run-a-way slave in the 1690s. It would be good if the Jamaica Information Service (JIS) or the Jamaica National Heritage Trust could provide small booklets pertaining to each spot so that locals who wish to earn a living in these areas can get access to this information and become special guides/semi-historians with accurate information to share with visitors. Big up to the local guide still. Mi like weh him ah do.
Another great video 😊
Thanks again!
Another great vlog. Love your videos from all over Jamaica. Will miss you when you leave. You keep them coming so interesting. There was an Ital restaurant in Kingston that was previewed by Ukraine vlogger called Jamaica with IRIE. Think its called 'No Bonezone' in Downtown Kingston, not certain that's the correct name but would be nice if you could check it out. Blessings and stay safe.
Thanks so much
@barbaralundie8457 It is called Veggie Meals On Wheels at NO BONEZONE in the REGAL PLAZA in Cross Roads in Kingston. Cross Roads is regarded as Midtown as it is between downtown and Uptown; close to the New Kingston side.
yes Jamaica is English speaking island in the Caribbean, but if you want chronological order not just language top 5 #1 cuba is ,2 largest Island then Hispaniola thats Haiti with Dominica sharing island,3 is Jamaica,4,puerto rico 5 Trinidad, the rest of the Island are tiny islands in the Carribean
Thank you for this information
@@PoJoTheBackPacker you're welcome
Pojo’s excitement to catch a route taxi. Lol. Love it. But Pojo if you were in Long Bay or further East you could have caught the bus from there.

I appreciate that very much. But I’ll be back
Fam. I was driving through St. Thomas to go visit my cousin who is a police officer at the Bath Police Station.
Bro. The GPS carry through some hills and valleys.
I went up a hill. I was like this doesn’t make sense or seem right but I was like I am here for the adventure.
I passed a donkey and the donkey looked at me like, “yuh bettah tun back” but I didn’t almost dropped off a cliff.
When I finally made it to the Bath Police Station. I gave my cousin an ear full.
Lmao
of course you end with jerk pork and some festival, making me hungry again man 😅

Let them stay in the West. The East we want to preserve our peace and natural beauty.
I agree 😂

Did you get the bun to eat with the cheese?😅
Nah didn’t get the bun but i had the cheese wasn’t a fan lol
@PoJoTheBackPacker it's not like any other.. it's good with crackers .. but as a Jamaican.. it's best with bun ... I prefer with easter bun.. not the round ones
I wanted to know that too. lol.
@@PoJoTheBackPacker I eat my bun with mature cheddar. Don’t care for the pasteurized cheese either.

I saw that too 🤣🤣
I’m already knowing lmfao
west ja has better climate, sea, herb, internationality and itality, etc... east is rougher in clime and culture historically.
Interesting
You crazy to think that, the blue mountain is in the east and the most herbs rich part of Jamaica is the east. Based on the greenery of the east it's evident who has the best itality, herbs, and climate which is cool. Beaches are all around Jamaica and Portland as well as St Thomas has some of the best beaches. From white sand, to black sand, to pink sand beaches. It also has a lot of water and fruits as well as trees.
