Welcome back to another video from here in beautiful PORT ANTONIO, JAMAICA. This place has slowly began to become one of my favorite in Jamaica the vibe here really is very easy going in my opinion. It also helps I’ve made some local connections while being here so they were able to show me around. In today’s video I’m back with @oneilwalker1987 and some other local creators to do a catch and cook. This is my first catch and cook I’ve ever done and what better way to do this by paddling a make shift boat to navy island. This island has so much history dating back to the 1700s. It was very interesting to explore this abandoned little island. We hiked through what seemed to be like the jungle and ended up at the edge of the island where stigma boss ended up catching some fish. I thought he had One of the most ingenious methods to catch a fish which i had seen in videos but never in person. We had heavy heavy storms coming in but we stuck it out and ended up with a fine meal.

I want to be with them when the power goes out. They have some serious survival skills👏🏽👏🏽
No joke u know most Americans will crumble lol
Yeah, we rely way too much on modern conveniences even when camping all of the modern conveniences and gadgets are brought to make it as comfortable as possible.
There are scenes from a 1986 Robin Williams movie called Club Paradise which was filmed in parts of Port Antonio and on Navy Island when it was an active resort.
Really I have to watch that movie. Always wanted to see how it look back then
That’s crazy I’m going to look that up

Bro is still here at this point don't leave 💀😂

You must try Oxtail and stewed peas and rice, which is made with pigs feet. You’ll get ackee in Kingston for sure. Keep persevering with the fish brother. Try some red snapper. Another great authentic video ✅
Check out some of my shorts i think i had the fish you are speaking of.. yes i was told to have red snapper i think i will try this here soon👌🏽
Who gave u stew peas with pigs feet and not tails?
@@RR-sp2op You’re absolutely right, meant to say tails 🐷 Thank you for your response

Nah they said their busy. All good I’ll make my own adventures 👌🏽
I love how you started with that scene. No small boating trip starts without bailing water out first right :))) I miss island living man. These videos making me miss it so much
Lmao one other time i was in a boat like 25 miles off the coast and the boat actually started to sink. I think something with a pump in the back? I’m not sure but that traumatized me lmao so i don’t care how far we were going im taking any and all water out 😂
@@PoJoTheBackPacker bro :)))) that’s classic. I feel you. Once in Caribbean we were taking small boat like one in video and was stormy day to surf spot. Got halfway when engine seized and we got stuck in middle of ocean (not as far as 25 miles tho 😅) and man. Not fun. Didn’t help was on shrooms 😅 we had to wait an hour bailing our boat for boat to rescue us. In hindsight was fun day :)))
The best channel on TH-cam 🍺🍺
Haha idn about that but thank you my friend 👌🏽
The intro is wild
Haha dudes almost fell out the boat haha
I am irked by the way you eating that fried fish. lol I guess I gotta get use to some tourists vloggers being different. I would have tore that fish up😂😂😂
I don’t like fish it was my second time eating fish
One Love from iceland
Appreciate you 💪🏽

Thank you for watching 👌🏽
Hope someone can go over and clean up the island. Navy Island is a prime investment for the right person. Man, if mi did have money.
It would be a nice place if they didn👌🏽
Lol, the boat almost tun ova when unno reach unno destination. Lol. Fond memories of trying to swim across. I was a coward. I made it as close to the green buoy.
😂😂😂
@@PoJoTheBackPacker bro. My grandma said there were sharks and stingrays among other things.
@@prestonmatthews725 i saw an alligator or croc at bob Marley beach but i was chillen
@@PoJoTheBackPacker bro. My ass would avoid all water for maybe a year.

3rd times a charm bro. Third fish should be red snapper :)))) 🤙🏼🤙🏼

That's not bamboo, it's palm, coconut
Thank you for the clarification.

Tell me what’s special about Lucea?
I thought you were meeting up with Raj from spearfishingJamaica
I never said that was confirmed
He’s busy
i don't know if the person that brought you to that island told you it's hounted the first building you went to is dangerous its crumbling there other old house on tha Island but its crumbled, you still have the the white man old clothes that died there sont touch it , some people are afraid to even pick fruits on tha Island cause they think the spirit os going to attack them, there other old mansion half crumbled there by a white girl that died there she trip and drown, her tomb stone is there you can hear her Spirit crying at times, there been alot of deaths there from spaniands people that British has killed when Spanish people us to conquer it,and also tanos indian, so there alot of bodies buried there and slave people also in the early 90s when some people live there, across that island you have monkey Island also another haunted spot you can walk it across sometimes if the sea level dont rise, but as long you get out these islands before night you should be good cause the spirits come active and people that do witchcraft ritual we call it obia , and there also a white man spirit thats there that live on that island
Interesting
@@PoJoTheBackPacker yes it sure is its history and present day
When you dont eat the skin you miss 80 percent of the flavor plus you need more sauce. I can see why you're not a fan of the fish.
I actually haven’t ever ate fish and even with all of that i still wouldn’t enjoy fish. It’s just not for me
Those goats have nowhere to go and I’m sure no non human predators so I bet just breeding away on that island. I wonder are you allowed to hunt them for food or are they protected
So i think these goats are owned by a farmer he raises them here then comes back with a boat loads them up takes them into town to sell them. I’m pretty sure that’s what i understood from what my friend told
Me
@@PoJoTheBackPackerahhh got you. Smart. Makes sense. Nice spot to raise goats
@@PoJoTheBackPackeralso thank you for always answering man. I always ask so many questions :)))
@@elturko1128 nah it never bothers me haha i like replying to everyone haha
One of those guys clearly stated that those goats are owned by someone, and are just feeding there. Goats in Jamaica are not like deer in the USA, where they run free, they’re actually very valuable (costly) to their owners.
