There are other beaches in karachi where you can take off your shirt and swim and they are not as polluted as this. Like "hawks bay" "sandspit". N they have less visitors. It is more family beach n lies in centre of main area thats why you wont find much beach-like activities here. Right behind the coastline is the most posh area of city i.e. DHA.
