  • I'm borrowing ANOTHER lawn mower from work, and seeing if it can replace the brush cutter on our tractor.
    The American Made Grasshopper 100V series includes the 124V, the 125V and the 127V. They're basically the same mower, but with different engines. In this case, we'll be looking at the 125V with a Kohler engine and 61 inch deck.
    Here's some Science Facts from Grasshopper:
    Combining commercial-grade features and powerful performance in a compact design, the Model 125V riding lawn mower with zero-turn maneuverability is ideal for tight quarters mowing and is a great way to step up to Grasshopper comfort, quality and durability.

    I have the grasshopper 125 with 52” deck 2015. It mows 3 yards about 4 acres total weekly has about 240 hours on it and it still has the original belts on it. Really great on fuel. Less than a gallon per yard. It has been outstanding.

    Have been checking out the Grasshopper web and narrowed it down to the 125v and checked out your TH-cam video. Thanks for the information. Wanted something simple, that would last and easy to maintain. Now it’s time to head to the local dealer and delve further.

    I currently have a Gravely Proturn 260 and love it. But I'm looking into getting a front mount grasshopper. I'll buy any mower except John Deere. Overpriced green paint 😂 Nice review!

      I'm certainly not an expert on every mower ever made, but I can confidently say that Grasshopper makes some of the most well built and well thought out mowers on the market. They just work.

    They’re great mowers for sure, I prefer Ferris because I’m in my mid 50’s and the ride and comfort are more important than all the other features. Well that and they’re faster, better cut but they are quite frankly, OVERPRIVCED. that said I’m hoping other quality brands like this make a better effort in comfort/ride because I along with everyone else would like to save the cost difference, and it’s a lot.

    Hey man got a quick question I really appreciate it if you can answer whenever you get time do you recommend 100 series grasshopper commercial use on about 25 yards

    • @HomesteadBandwagon
      @HomesteadBandwagon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They're a plenty strong machine, so I would bet you'd be in good shape, especially if we're just talking about basic mowing and not trying to knock down fields with 6 foot grass on the regular.

      Yes, but you only get 6 legs, which is kinda odd

    Remove or tie up discharge chute will help your bogging in deep grass.

    • @HomesteadBandwagon
      @HomesteadBandwagon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure have! They are great machines. A little on the large side, but I like being able to mow under trees without bein IN the tree, and lifting the deck for maintenance is really convenient. Definitely my favorite mower

    • @HomesteadBandwagon
      @HomesteadBandwagon  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sveltergem2449 I've been pleasantly surprised at how much material you can process with both, but the front mount really shines in tall grass, in my opinion. It's nice to not have all the grass in your face at all times, and if there's an unexpected dip in the ground, the deck will hit it before your whole mower is in the hole!

      @@sveltergem2449 can you give me some pros and cons in comparing , I can see that the front mount might be an advantage for extremely tall growth or rough terrain but is the mid mount better at finishing? Close quarters ?

    I agree grasshopper makes the most boring mower but they sure cut good! My pick on the best design mower would be spartan hands down they make some exciting looking mowers! Especially their 61 and 72 inch mowers! But from what I hear they do not cut well as the other brands do... eh two each their own good video for sure!
