    Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! th-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

    Mine is at least 7 years old and is still running like it’s brand new…upstairs in a cape cod. I just keep forgetting how to clean the filter. It’s really important to clean it so ice doesn’t build up. Got it at Sam’s Club. Worth every cent.

    We hired someone to install ours for our garage room. He also made a hole for the drip hose to go outside, so we’ve had no problems & it cools wonderfully! I did see another video that said the unit will cut off if there’s too much water accumulated in the hose, so you’d have to drain it, if you don’t have it going outside like mine. So I have the vent & an extra hole for extending the hose to go outside. Great investment for my family.

    We just set the machine up in an outdoor building and the hose which we have set up through the window is hot. Should it be hot like that? That hose is so large bore, it reminds me of those hoses that come out of croup tents, the oxygen tents, they use to use for babies or children who have the croup, or who had oral surgery.

      The Delonghi Pinguino does not need to be emptied it evaporates the water and sends it out the exhaust hose right in the window! HOWEVER there is a collection bin and a rubber plug at the back of the unit, if the area you are trying to cool is VERY HUMID YOU MAY NEED TO MANUALLY EMPTY THE COLLECTION BIN!

    Have had ours setup for 2 weeks in a 430 square foot living room and kitchen that has a divider wall and 10 foot open celings.. this ac doesn't cool it down. At 90 to 95 degrees throughout the week, and the ac on its coldest setting on high all day while brand new, barely lowers our temperature. I hate thus air conditioner and am pissed we wasted so much money on the p.o.s.

    • @diegoaguilar2751
      @diegoaguilar2751 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's likely that you are not using a single circuit outlet. Because you have other devices plugged into the room you have the ac unit in, the fuse has to carry more current than it can handle, causing it to blow.

    I just watched De'Longhi's TH-cam video titled "How to set up your De'Longhi portable air conditioner". De'Longhi should be ashamed of themselves for the pitiful and horribly misleading venting shown for patio doors and casement windows. The content is not helpful when you give the impression that a "properly sealed" vent installation is as simple as sticking the exhaust hose out an open door or window, without any mention of the gapping openings that need to be addressed.
    If you cannot show an honest installation, or at least mention the reality, then why should I trust anything that carries the De'Longhi name.

      did you manage to fix it? same problem here

    • @emilycooper442
      @emilycooper442 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@alejandrorangel3257 no. However, a solution that works is putting it on top of a shower curtain/tarp and also stuffing puppy training pads underneath the unit (make sure to stuff them so they absorb the water).
      This method combined has saved my carpet...I think what happens is, in high humidity, it sometimes struggles to keep up...doesn't seem like anything we're doing wrong or like there's anything wrong with the AC unit.
      For this reason, going forward, I'll just be sticking to AC units with a water tank. I'd rather empty that every few hours than worry about water on the floor.
