Im stoked on mine. Pumps out super cold air, great feature set. She is pretty loud if you’re right next to it. Good idea wrapping the duct, haven’t tried that yet, all I did was tape the connections so it’s completely airtight. I did however replace my vent hose after a couple years because it cracked from the hot air. Careful where you plug these in when using multiple units in different rooms of the house, you might trip the breaker. Also, buy these in the winter season like my family did, we noticed places were almost doubling the price during the summer months.

Does your fan cycle off and on when on ac mode? It's super annoying cause I understand ac compressor shutting off once temp is reached but the fan should not cycle off and on also

Great video! However just wanted to note you were talking in the start about the two different cooking capacity numbers. You are right that the lower number is an adjusted number you just weren’t right about the adjustments they do. The portable AC draw in air from the inside (not from the tube) and cools it and exhaust the warm air created while cooling down the other air. Then the warm air is exhausted through the tube. The smaller number is know as the SACC (seasonally adjust cooling capacity). It take into account the pressure difference that the portable makes which leads to infiltration air (air from outside the window).

I have this exact one in my “game room” and I love it. It’s able to keep my room cool enough on a hot summer day gotta keep in mind that’s that’s 2 pcs and 6 monitors + a mini fridge. On the side of the house that being hit with the sun. My favorite part of this unit unlike the other 4 I’ve tested in my bedroom is that I can keep this unit on 24/7 and I never have to empty the water. All the other ones fill up within a hour of using them and stop producing cold air due to it being full of water and needing to be emptied. I wish they still made it because I would buy a 2nd one in a heartbeat for my bedroom

Thank you. I had the unit in the box for a month but not too convince because of noise, power and cooling concerns. Based on your video, I'll deploy it soon. I have central A/C that consumes 3.5kwH cooling all the rooms in the house. I pay 0.34/kwH in SFO Bay Area. I figure this unit will pay for itself cooling the room where we gather during warm weather.

    (1) the heater function is useless, because it blowers cold air out of the exhaust. Which means you would still need a window open. Which defeats the point of being a heater.
    (2) why did you not use that long hose cover that came with your unit? It is an actual heat Shield for the exhaust.

I bought the unit at Sam's club. I ended up canceling my Sam's club membership and then I couldn't return the unit. I wasn't going to keep it anyways I was just going to use it for a month in the summer and then return it. So the unit's too big and bulky too heavy. The unit radiates too much heat.. I wish there was some type of covers and airflow movement tools so I can put it onto the cool air output and have a blow in my face. The parts are proprietary and if you try to put it out your door while the door is open and you got all this Gap of hot air coming in the hot exhaust air blows right back in I'm on with the open space.

A couple hours later I went back into my room and I was very disappointed that it seemed hotter than it was before I put it in there. The fan works great... and it seems like it's blowing 'cool' air but NOT 'COLD' like it's supposed to. I also realized that running it for that long.. there was no water in the tray underneath either. Should I put water somewhere? I've cleaned the filter in the back and took the casing off to make sure that everything was all clean inside. CHECK! I did try to see if the heating part worked. This too only blew air... no heat.
