    Thank you so much :) This was so useful. I'd really love a full breakdown of what you studied. I'm due to start in September and I also did Psychology at undergrad!

      You can get a full breakdown of what you’ll be learning from the link above! I can see that the course next year is slightly different. I can see that next year there’s an option to have a group summer project, we don’t have that this year.

    Hey Anita, first of all, thank you sooo much for these videos! I want to get a conversion course but have some doubts about it. The course intensity aside, can we do a part time while doing this course? And do we have an option to take electives/courses of our choosing or do they have it all mandatory?

      Hey - thank you so much for watching! Personally for me, I don’t think I would have been able to do a part time job as the course at Bristol was very demanding and pretty much took up all my time (including holidays). We didn’t have any optional modules at Bristol but I know other unis do

    thankyou for this video! I'm just finishing audio engineering and would apply to a software engineering conversion course for next year. Quick question: do you think that my job prospects (for me as a musician changing to a more scientific field) will be impacted strongly by making such a 180 degree turn?
    All the best and take care,
    Max

      Hey Max, it will be a big change but a software engineering course will give you a lot of job options. There are also many companies who looks for software engineers with a music background, like Spotify or Apple Music so I think you’ll have lots of opportunities!

    Great video! What made you go with a conversion course instead of a bootcamp?

    • @anitangoc
      @anitangoc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you! I chose the conversion course because no matter what I do (whether it is SWE or not) and the industry I’m in, the university name will always be recognised by employers and others

    What languages do you learn and do you feel that you will be job ready by the end of it?

    • @anitangoc
      @anitangoc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At Bristol you’ll learn C and Java. Those should be enough to get you a SWE job. You’ll be exposed to JavaScript/Typescript too which is useful

    Hi. Thank you so much for you video! It’s very helpful! I have an offer of MSc Software Development conversion in University of Glasgow. I’d like to ask whether you think finishing the conversion course would be the same situation as that from Bristol? Such as the employability… etc.

    • @anitangoc
      @anitangoc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As I've not done the course at the University of Glasgow, it's really hard for me to give you any advice or insights on that. Sorry I can't be more helpful :(
