The course intensity aside, can we do a part time while doing this course? And do we have an option to take electives/courses of our choosing or do they have it all mandatory?
Hey - thank you so much for watching! Personally for me, I don’t think I would have been able to do a part time job as the course at Bristol was very demanding and pretty much took up all my time (including holidays). We didn’t have any optional modules at Bristol but I know other unis do

Quick question: do you think that my job prospects (for me as a musician changing to a more scientific field) will be impacted strongly by making such a 180 degree turn? Hey Max, it will be a big change but a software engineering course will give you a lot of job options. There are also many companies who looks for software engineers with a music background, like Spotify or Apple Music so I think you’ll have lots of opportunities!

At Bristol you’ll learn C and Java. Those should be enough to get you a SWE job. You’ll be exposed to JavaScript/Typescript too which is useful
