When it comes to positioning and tactics, I really don't think that most players at tier 10 are much better than those playing lower. It's fair to say that there are a lot more elite players playing up top. It's also true to say that there is a shitload of bad players who rushed their way up to tier 10 in order to avoid being bottom tier. I think this may make a bigger skill spread at tier 10. Things like more view range and the need to either know weak spots or shoot gold do change the playstyle exposing players' weaknesses. I think it's fair to say that things like this make it so that some tactics which work at lower tiers stop working at higher tiers. I have the t-34 and the t34 three starred at tier 5. I'm not qualified to wipe Lemmingrushes ass at tier 10.
@@shadaxe I don't know about you, but I find tier7 the least annoying. Credit camping isn't a thing, like at top tier, battles don't carry on forever, and there's a good amount of challenge without dealing with the DOA MM, and top tier Kalobanov situations.
I'm pretty much sure he is talking about the ones that die in the first minute with zero spotting zero damage. U got 3 or 4 of them every battle then they will complain about invisible tanks. Not a common occurrence at higher tiers (bad players just base camp at those tiers)
The T29 at least has a weak hull. If it has no support it's flanked and pasted. The IS is pretty good, but a little sluggish with its big fat butt. The E25 is good when top tier, but if played with a good crew it's a monster.

I know i'm an exception with my Luchs having all the crew with 4 skills working on 5th. I'm happy playing that tank as I can get decent scores most games and have a 52% win rate

There's like 100 comments so you won't see this, but the M5 stuart's top gun has like 58 AP pen and 78 APCR pen. One month I decided to get the best DPG in it and it was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. The Chinese stuart is great though, it has a gun kinda like the T-34 but with bad pen.

Plus the DPM/HP on tier 5 tanks is much better than tier 10, while the alpha of most TDs is lower, so one can rack up more kills more quickly. Third, not as many players at tier 5 have good crew skills compared to tier 10.

Derps really do have bad accuracy. 75mm M17 has 0.44 accuracy, 105mm M4 has 0.55. Especially when the accuracy is compared to the 57mm 55-57FG at 0.34! The aiming circle of a 105mm M4 is about 2.5 times bigger than the 55-57FG's, before taking into account aimtime.
Yeah, I don't how it's elited (i'm in the middle of a grind), but stock it's just awful. Even as a top tier it can be mediocre, and useless on +2 matchup :/
Just one minor detail: if you have 3 kills and see another tank not platooned with at least 3 kills (second game had 2), send an invite before the end of battle, get BiA for free!

What I find that quite often after winning the city, the team does not want to be driving into that open area in front of them because it is quite a good area to be sniped off. Which often results in that they stay in the city being totally useless for the duration of the game.... What I usually see is that K8 is being lost and the enemy has won the game..... Highly frustrating
nice to see someone else using their bullets for something other than shooting tanks and thinking outside the box and shooting away cover - I do that too and felt like I was the only one
I am halfway through grinding the Russian medium line. I hated the T34 at first because of the low alpha, view range, and HP but grew to love it once I learned how to maximize the farming potential of the gun. Permatracking a higher tier heavy is one of the more fun elements in the game. It’s a bitch getting an ace tanker in it tho..
I have a question. If all you regularly play is tier 9 and 10, how good can you possibly be if you never face double over tier tanks? The people that play nothing but tier 9 and 10 are no different than the people that play nothing but tier 1 and 2. They're all stat padders.
Type T-34 is one of my all time favorite tanks, if I didn't feel so dirty playing it and seal clubbing I would almost exclusively only play it. Still feels great with a 2.5k WN8 and 65% WR in it.

I'm a mediocre player, but a week or two ago I spent a whole night just fucking around in some of my favorite 4s, 5s and 6s. I finished the night with a 70% WR and 3200 WN8. So yeah. Basically cheating.
Cheating? Wn8 no-one cares stats no-one cares. You don't cheat you play the game with t5 t6. You do what you want with the tiers you want to play with. Goal is not to grind t10 and only play them. Goal is to have fun. Got 800 games with pz38t one of my favorite tank in the game and it existed.. So really not cheating! Have fun leave stats to unicums and Stat paddlers play what make you enjoy the game.

i prefer the russian T-34 due to it having better gun depression(which makes it FAR more flexible) however, the Type is better in regards to ammo capacity, gun handling and elavation however 20 degrees of elevation on the regular 34 is usually(almost always) enough preferences of course but very similair none the less
Tier 5 and 9 is the best tier per tier they are a lot less screwed when bottom tier. A lot of tier 7 tanks with weird tier 6.5 stats while the jump from tier 7 > 8 and 8 > 9 is just massive. And tier 9s get to feed on tier 7s unlike tier 10s where Tier 8 TDs are already mounted with tier 10 guns

LR, you are correct. As a Tier 10 player playing in T5 it is in fact a violation 10 U.S. Code § 894 - Art. 94. Online Gaming Tier Mutiny or Sedition. Federal agents in Alexandria and Fairfax, VA likely have a case file on you they will transmit to Google/TH-cam when they have completed their investigation and evidence gathering. For that reason I suggest you never stop streaming WOT games to TH-cam. WOT pwns you now.
Honestly high tier is lopsided as everliving F on the NA server. At tier 4-6 your dpm on any given vehicle is high enough to take out 3-5 enemy vehicles in one minute, not to mention speed and view range are different. By the time you get to tier 8-10 it's only 1.3/minute, so it's much harder to carry, which you will need to do often at tier 8-10 to have a win % over 50 on NA server. Every body can spot eachother across 2/3 of the map.
The Panzer IV H with HE only... man... it feels amazing to punch an IS for 100dmg rolls every 7 secs lmaooooooo Also the usual crommie back shot for 450dmg ayyyy

When I play [yes, I’m crap] I struggle to even get the auto aim to lock on, let alone get the reticle on for a snap shot like yours. Is this indicative of you using a fully pimped crew, or are you using any mods? My crews are pretty crap across the board so that will be part of my problem, I’m sure. I would really appreciate advice on what mods, if any, that you use.... although I believe you are just a total freak at this game! I never cease to be amazed at your situational awareness and your ability to predict where you need to be well before anyone else does. Thanks for the content mate... it helps mere mortals to keep on trying to improve.
Hey ! Let me answer you. But as I don't know how much knowledge of the game mechanics you have, it's gonna be long ! 1- The mods. Of course he isn't using any mods to make him more accurate, even more since that doesn't exist. Aimbot center your reticle on weakspots of enemies and/or give lead. But they cannot directly improve accuracy. Why ? Because each time you fire, where the shell goes is decided by the server, not your computer. So no cheating possible. But an aimbot can indirectly help by setting the reticle on the best position to optimize your chances of hitting the target, even more since there is a bit higher chance of your shell going in the center of your vehicle (not true for all classes/gun I think). But of course not the case here, people would see an aimbot on TH-cam, and he doesn't need that. 2- The mechanics of RNG. From the garage you have some gun statistics : dispersion, aim time. But there are more, hidden, and which play an important role. You can see them on third-party websites like tanks(dot)gg. These are the gun dispersion values, which provide the gun handling feeling. 3 types : while driving, while turning the turret, and after firing. The higher the number, the bigger your reticle go after doing that action (over time up to a maximum for driving and turning the turret). It is those number that make some tank amazing at shooting on the move while some will pretty much never hit, regardless of aim time. 3- Mitigating the previous point. You can make your gun handling better. Firstly, through crew/equipment : being 100% improves all stats, including those gun dispersion stats. The vertical stabilizer equipment improves by 20% the gun dispersion values I mentionned before, and on most tanks it is preferable to use this one instead of the gun laying drive which improves aim time by 10%. You aim slower, but your reticle doesn't bloom as much when you drive, turn the turret or shoot, so 90% of the time. For the crew, the skill smooth ride improve your gun dispersion on the move, while snap shot improve your gun dispersion during turret rotation. Some tanks can use both though, so equipment must be decided upon case to case basis. Food consumable and Brother in Arms perk do improve your crew percentage over 100%, furhtering what is mentionned before, but also improve the effect of crew perks/skills, mainly the two I just mentionned. 4- Strategies : Combine the previous skills/equipment. A fully equiped tank with good crew feels completly different than unequipped tank with 75% crew. The difference is like night and day, without exagerating. So keep your crew from tank to tank. I transfer a crew only if it has reached the point where it started its first skill, then it is woth transferring it to the next tank, and retraining it to 90% for 20 000 credits. But there are some more advanced strategies : First, don't hesitate to take snap shots : RNG might be with you, this happened to Lemming here (and he got quite lucky often). But be careful, shells have a cost, and shooting dramatically lowers your camouflage (by 80% I think), so doing it is situation dependant. Secondly, when you poke, it can be worth going slowly, by pressing R only once, or with small press on the W key. By moving slowly the gun dispersion on the move debuff doesn't full apply, so your reticle doesn't go as big. Thirdly, lock your turret with right mouse click or pre-turn it on the correct dispersion to mitigate the effect on the gun dispersion while turning the turret debuff, for the same reason as the previous point. For example the T49 has horrendous bloom when turning the turret with the big gun, so it is really worth turning it as little as possible. Lastly, learn your tank characteristics, so that you can develop the best gameplay for it (see my T49 example). So if you combine all my advices, and can afford the equipment and snap shooting costs, you can truly get better results. I hope I wan't to confused in my explanations, and that this will help you !

I really appreciate you explaining the nuances of how the different equipment setups and crew skills work. I guess it still falls back to playing lots of games and grinding the crews up to a usable skill level. I have done as you suggested re moving my crews up, but I'm one of those dreaded 'collectors' and really struggle to let a lot of my tanks go once I've unlocked the next one. I guess this is where I get 'penalised' by having a lower skilled crew at the new level. I also need to start taking those snap shots and hoping RNG will be my friend.... it never is haha! Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with a very old noob.... this is why I continue to play the game. There are a lot more positive players in the game than the trolling and negative comments in TH-cam etc would have us believe. GLHF!

5 in a 7 game is still better than a 6 in an 8 game, 7 in a 9, or an 8 in a 10.
Its only the T29 can dominate tier 5 easily.
The IS is pretty ludicrous as well. Consistently one-shots t5 tds. And you can't forget the E25 of course.

I think for Lemming "bad" means making choices he would not have made. That is a fairly consistent theme in his videos.

Cheating? Wn8 no-one cares stats no-one cares. You don't cheat you play the game with t5 t6. You do what you want with the tiers you want to play with. Goal is not to grind t10 and only play them. Goal is to have fun. Got 800 games with pz38t one of my favorite tank in the game and it existed.. So really not cheating! Have fun leave stats to unicums and Stat paddlers play what make you enjoy the game.

i prefer the russian T-34 due to it having better gun depression(which makes it FAR more flexible) however, the Type is better in regards to ammo capacity, gun handling and elavation however 20 degrees of elevation on the regular 34 is usually(almost always) enough

Tier 5 and 9 is the best tier per tier they are a lot less screwed when bottom tier. A lot of tier 7 tanks with weird tier 6.5 stats while the jump from tier 7 > 8 and 8 > 9 is just massive. And tier 9s get to feed on tier 7s unlike tier 10s where Tier 8 TDs are already mounted with tier 10 guns

there is one thing i hate, the way players who think tier 10 its the only way to play the game. once everyone plays the same the game get really boring fast.
LR, you are correct. As a Tier 10 player playing in T5 it is in fact a violation 10 U.S. Code § 894 - Art. 94. Online Gaming Tier Mutiny or Sedition. Federal agents in Alexandria and Fairfax, VA likely have a case file on you they will transmit to Google/TH-cam when they have completed their investigation and evidence gathering. For that reason I suggest you never stop streaming WOT games to TH-cam.

Honestly high tier is lopsided as everliving F on the NA server. At tier 4-6 your dpm on any given vehicle is high enough to take out 3-5 enemy vehicles in one minute, not to mention speed and view range are different. By the time you get to tier 8-10 it's only 1.3/minute, so it's much harder to carry, which you will need to do often at tier 8-10 to have a win % over 50 on NA server. Every body can spot eachother across 2/3 of the map.

Lemming, I don’t understand how you are ‘locking’ onto the tanks [matilda and type 34] so quickly to get those laser like shots. When I play [yes, I’m crap] I struggle to even get the auto aim to lock on, let alone get the reticle on for a snap shot like yours. Is this indicative of you using a fully pimped crew, or are you using any mods? My crews are pretty crap across the board so that will be part of my problem, I’m sure. I would really appreciate advice on what mods, if any, that you use.... although I believe you are just a total freak at this game! I never cease to be amazed at your situational awareness and your ability to predict where you need to be well before anyone else does. Thanks for the content mate... it helps mere mortals to keep on trying to improve.
Hey ! Let me answer you. But as I don't know how much knowledge of the game mechanics you have, it's gonna be long !
1- The mods. Of course he isn't using any mods to make him more accurate, even more since that doesn't exist. Aimbot center your reticle on weakspots of enemies and/or give lead. But they cannot directly improve accuracy. Why ? Because each time you fire, where the shell goes is decided by the server, not your computer. So no cheating possible. But an aimbot can indirectly help by setting the reticle on the best position to optimize your chances of hitting the target, even more since there is a bit higher chance of your shell going in the center of your vehicle (not true for all classes/gun I think). But of course not the case here, people would see an aimbot on TH-cam, and he doesn't need that.
2- The mechanics of RNG. From the garage you have some gun statistics : dispersion, aim time. But there are more, hidden, and which play an important role. You can see them on third-party websites like tanks(dot)gg. These are the gun dispersion values, which provide the gun handling feeling. 3 types : while driving, while turning the turret, and after firing. The higher the number, the bigger your reticle go after doing that action (over time up to a maximum for driving and turning the turret). It is those number that make some tank amazing at shooting on the move while some will pretty much never hit, regardless of aim time.
3- Mitigating the previous point. You can make your gun handling better. Firstly, through crew/equipment : being 100% improves all stats, including those gun dispersion stats. The vertical stabilizer equipment improves by 20% the gun dispersion values I mentionned before, and on most tanks it is preferable to use this one instead of the gun laying drive which improves aim time by 10%. You aim slower, but your reticle doesn't bloom as much when you drive, turn the turret or shoot, so 90% of the time. For the crew, the skill smooth ride improve your gun dispersion on the move, while snap shot improve your gun dispersion during turret rotation. Some tanks can use both though, so equipment must be decided upon case to case basis. Food consumable and Brother in Arms perk do improve your crew percentage over 100%, furhtering what is mentionned before, but also improve the effect of crew perks/skills, mainly the two I just mentionned.
4- Strategies : Combine the previous skills/equipment. A fully equiped tank with good crew feels completly different than unequipped tank with 75% crew. The difference is like night and day, without exagerating. So keep your crew from tank to tank. I transfer a crew only if it has reached the point where it started its first skill, then it is woth transferring it to the next tank, and retraining it to 90% for 20 000 credits.
But there are some more advanced strategies :
First, don't hesitate to take snap shots : RNG might be with you, this happened to Lemming here (and he got quite lucky often). But be careful, shells have a cost, and shooting dramatically lowers your camouflage (by 80% I think), so doing it is situation dependant.
Secondly, when you poke, it can be worth going slowly, by pressing R only once, or with small press on the W key. By moving slowly the gun dispersion on the move debuff doesn't full apply, so your reticle doesn't go as big.
Thirdly, lock your turret with right mouse click or pre-turn it on the correct dispersion to mitigate the effect on the gun dispersion while turning the turret debuff, for the same reason as the previous point. For example the T49 has horrendous bloom when turning the turret with the big gun, so it is really worth turning it as little as possible.
Lastly, learn your tank characteristics, so that you can develop the best gameplay for it (see my T49 example).
So if you combine all my advices, and can afford the equipment and snap shooting costs, you can truly get better results.

I run a vanilla setup re mods, thus avoiding the whole aimbot/legality of mods argument. I really appreciate you explaining the nuances of how the different equipment setups and crew skills work.
I guess it still falls back to playing lots of games and grinding the crews up to a usable skill level. I have done as you suggested re moving my crews up, but I'm one of those dreaded 'collectors' and really struggle to let a lot of my tanks go once I've unlocked the next one. I guess this is where I get 'penalised' by having a lower skilled crew at the new level.
I also need to start taking those snap shots and hoping RNG will be my friend.... it never is haha! Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with a very old noob.... this is why I continue to play the game. There are a lot more positive players in the game than the trolling and negative comments in TH-cam etc would have us believe. GLHF!

I personally would try and lock down the tanks in one spot by shooting the tracks off. Especially with a small, fast firing guns.
