Ok, this is a long shot but will set this as a goal for my 93 yr. Old mom. Once I know she is strong enough to get herself up off the floor (I’ve started her on leg and upper body exercises, I’ll do circulation, because she has blood flow issues in her legs.) I’d like to get her to grandma’s age. Granny passed away at 106. These exercises would have helped her too. Thank you 🙏 Angel Will Harlow!
Whichever way you think but isometric exercises are good too. For example, when she is sitting she can lift foot off floor if can or try to and hold it for 10 sec. Build up to 30 sec. For the heel raises in video, sitting can try first hold like said 10-30sec. I did have wrist injury and was excellent for that the isometric exercises and can be for any strengthening you want to do as well
I have veneous insufficiency with both legs. I haven't had any issues grateful for that. I do use the compression thigh high socks sometimes and they help. And I do many other exercises to get the blood flowing in the lower part of the legs especially. Glad I came across this video. These exercises seem easy and I already do a few of them already. Excellent video and explaining the different exercises. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your generous gift. Please do not feel obligated to give anything, your viewership and support are all the thanks I could ask for. I hope you have a brilliant week ☺

Your calf strengthening exercises have been a game changer for me. I’ve been dabbling in a bit of speed work hill training on my runs (if you know Muswell Hill, you’ll understand) strengthening my upper body & calves *chef’s kiss*
I'm glad I found you, Will. This is exactly what I needed. I'm approaching 50 but my bones feel off. I struggle with malaise due to other issues so gym strengthening is daunting. These feel doable and are my 2025 gift. God bless you!
I'm so pleased my video came at the right time, ready to kick off your 2025 in the best way. It's great to hear you'll be able to put these into action. I'm wishing you all the best in this new year, and I hope my channel can offer some valuable support!
Bones feel "off?" I don't know what you mean, but for bone health i take daily: Vit D3 10,000 IU K2 BioSil (hair skin nails and bones) 2 capsules Magnesium I take those together, because they work better together. Before bed i take another dose of magnesium.
Simple, effective and a great complement to other fitness routines I do. Looking forward to checking out more of your fitness advice for 50+ generation.
Will I Love the way you make the SPLIT SQUAT so Simple and EZ. Body builders make it hard. . Get the blood flowing !! Pump like the hearts got a second pump, the leggs.
Great exercises. I have very weak leg muscles and doing these exercises would definitely improve the strength in my legs. I am 70 years young and still play competitive sports but lately my weak legs have been detrimental to my game. These exercises shoukd imorive my eeak kegs. Thanks Will. Keep up the good work for us 'oldies'. 😀👍
At age 57, and working from home 2 days a week I am conscious of sitting down more and being less active than in the office. Will be mindful of these exercises, as I get up once an hour to do various stretching and leg routine.
I'm a 62 yr old Catholic, and I started to practice genuflecting at about 58 yrs old. As I aged, my genuflecting at church became challenging. I was today years old when I learned it's an actual thing called the split squat. 😂
Being a born again, saved by faith through grace alone unto salvation is the way to go, Jesus Christ saves, not anything you religiously do. Seek him while he can be found 🙌💯❤️ from Patricia
Happy New Year Sir. Another informative and practical video to help us old f***ers stay in shape. 😉 Thank you so much. I know that I am not alone in appreciating the content you provide. 👍😎
Great video as always Will. I believe you mentioned recently that you had changed to taking protein isolate and I wonder if you could recommend the best one for a 72 year old wanting to regain muscle please.
Excellent video, Will. Now, my question is, once you've done these three at home, is it OK to use the quad machine at the gym or would we be making the quads work too much? Much love from Argentina! 🇦🇷
Sometimes seeing these I feel like at 57, feeling weak and tired and sore, I'm actually quite strong and athletic doing what I do, if people under 57 would struggle to do these drills.
I am the same age as you. Whenever offered a lift to the local shops, I always choose to walk and never pass up the opportunity to be active and get some form of exercise, be it specific resistance training, etc.., or simply walking 2 miles to the shops. At our age, you either use it or lose it. Keep on keeping on and stay strong. 💪👍😎
@@localbodSame here. At 58, I park further away in the parking lot so I can walk the extra distance. Climb stairs whenever possible. The older we get, the more active we have to be or we lose muscle mass and end up with injury.

Never mind over 50s. Ive always had strong leg muscles (all that running to get to school on time) but poor circulation. From when I started working summer holidays in cafes (age 14 in our holiday town) my legs used to swell as you were on your feet all day. Once, in late teens, my new bell bottoms split at the seems when I sat down on the bus. 😂.😮 And I started getting varicose veins in my teens as well. No predisposing factors other than normally low bp.?
Well I'm much younger but I need exactly this. I have low muscle strength and poor blood flow in my legs. Quick question, can I do this every day like leg day every day sort of thing? Or should I have resting days in between? Thank you so much for this!🎉
I have spent the last two years on metoprolol for misdiagnosed episode vertigo. They took me off and lodipine for high blood pressure and after 2 years the metoprolol was not controlling my blood pressure and the side effects were horrific I basically spent sitting on the couch because I had no energy and frequently had anxiety attacks. I just found your video and went through one set of 10 for each exercise and that raised my heart rate up to I'm sure 130 to 140 since stopping metoprolol 10 days ago my average heart rate is between 95 and 105. Is there any correlation between very weak legs and rapid heartbeat?
Hi; I am 69 and having a very slight pain on my upper right inside thigh. I tried your 3 of your suggested exercises the Split Squat, the Wall Squat, and the Heel Raise On Step. I did three sets to as suggested to fatigue. This is the morning of the second day. Should l do these exercises everyday or every other day for leg recovery?
I have bilateral knee replacement done a year back. Knees are ok but I need to strengthen my leg and foot muscles. I am 61. Please advise what exercise would be good.
