RM is not the oldest but he is the leader of BTS and has been under pressure. Always expected to make hit after hit and living up to others expectations. Being on hiatus from the group and getting to do his own thing for a while was super important to his well-being and growth. He's basically saying FU, I do what I want. Even the music video doesn't fit Kpop standards and he just doesn't give a sh!+. 💜

to give a slight context: the people of Korea expect BTS to represent the country on every level. For eg to win the bid for world expo, the Korean govt pressured BTS become ambassadors by going as far as contacting their parents. In the process the govt tried to keep their military service ambiguous (like not enlist entirely but still under the Beck and call of the govt) they were insulted a lot by the public because the govt made it seem like they were getting military exemption (which BTS never even asked or agreed for). Coming back to the world expo, the bid was against Saudi Arabia who did multiple events whereas Korea solely relied on BTS and BTS company bore all the expenses for conducting a free concert in busan.
Moreover BTS is spitted upon by the fans of other k-pop and trolls saying what great did they do at the same time they expect them to be this perfect image of humans they created in their own head. The weight of their crown is crazy

This was recorded before he was drafted into the military. The eldest Jin will return from military service on June 12.

RM and Suga were underground rappers before joining BTS and because of that other underground rappers dissed them and called them girls (idols wear makeup). They have been taking a lot of crap from haters and jealous nobodies, but also they were expected to represent their country as Presidential envoys, speaking at the UN three times, being made the face of South Korea in a political way too. So, even though they are very proud of that and respect it, RM being the leader and the main speaker for the group, he was given more pressure to be like a diplomat and to act accordingly, which meant he couldn’t say whatever was on his mind. This song is a way to finally speak his mind. 💜🥹💜

Out of 7, RM is the 4th oldest. He was just the 1st member of BTS and the only one fluent in English which makes him a great leader. But it put too much stress on him.
all of the solo content that has been coming out after they were deployed was filmed before their enlistment . RM had cut hi hairs long before he enlisted just because he wanted to .

Every solo project RM puts out is completely different from the last. This is before he went into the army. Though RM spoke 3 times at the United Nations and at the White House those were his words and BTS message. The present government views BTS as radicals. Probably for no other reason than their political rivals celebrated BTS. so when they tried to make him a mouthpiece for the establishment he's telling them to get their ass out of the trunk. He distanced himself from the rest of BTS for 14 months in order to rebel and hopefully it not reflect on BTS. Early songs CYPHERS 1,2 3,4 JOKE and DO YOU if you want more of this side of RM in the early years.

RM has had similar kind of hair to this many times through the years, it's not for the military.
He made this album and finished filming the MV's in 2023 before enlisting and leaving in December 2023.
He is not allowed to work during his enlistment so everything coming out until he's back in June 2025 is pre-recorded stuff.
All 7 BTS members are currently in the military. RM, V, Jimin and JK all enlisted and started their 1½ year service in december 2023 and will be back in June 2025.
SUGA enlisted before them but because of a former shoulder injury he is doing special service which is a bit longer and will be back July(?) 2025.
j-hope will be back later this year.
Jin was the first to enlist back in December 2022 and will be back any day now!
All members have pre-recorded music or other things that will be released while they are gone.

Namjoon likes buzz cuts, and he's not the oldest, JIN is the oldest, then SUGA, then HOBI, and THEN Namjoon, he's like right in the middle when it comes to age. He's the Maknae of the Hyung line and he's the hyung of the maknae line. HYUNG = older brother/friend, Maknae = youngest sibling/friend. Also, he no longer call him Rap Monster, per his wishes. All seven of the members were enlisted by December 12 2023, and they have been releasing pre-reforded content ever since they enlisted. They will be back by June 2025. They have renewed their contract, all seven, before enlisting. JIN will be back next week, in time for BTS's annual celebration of their debut, called FESTA. 11 years of BTS. Jin will be discharged on June 12, 2024, and we are excited. Then look forward to J-Hope being released by October 17, 2024, because he will be dicharged then. And the rest of the guys will be back in June 2025.
