The duck line is a version of “If it quacks like a duck & walks like a duck, it’s a duck” (people trying to say they aren’t something they actually are because they can’t hide their true nature). He’s calling people out on this album, saying he’s had enough of trying to be everything for everyone when he’s just Namjoon, and I am here for it.😎🔥💜
Interesting. My interpretation was that ducks walk in a line. Like calling someone a sheep because they follow what everyone else does, but RM does his own thing, as we're seeing in this album.
@@christyjay94 My interpretation was a bit like yours. I think he means that he's seeing right through people trying to take advantage of him or who don't like him, even if they're pretending otherwise. "You walk like a duck" as in you're not fooling me with your fake niceties

This might actually be my favorite album from Namjoon The way it mesh sounds from funk and alt and experiments with different genres we already know is sooo ugggh😩 the way it flows and slows down at points really hits differents

RM kinda reminds me a little of RZA.... He has such weird ideas and brings them to life in such a Genius way! 😅

I know there are a lot interpretations of "You walk like a duck" but in my brain, I always associated the duck's walk like the walk of someone who needs to go to the bathroom because they need to sh!t, so for me it was like "You are full of sh!t" 😂😂😂😂

Being a music student this album has given me the prospect that music isn't one experience. It needs to be more than a basic beat and also it can be however you want it to be, the listeners feelings are a second thought (but they can be taken into count) whereas yours are the first as the music created is a part of you. I can now feel comfortable creating something more like me.
RM is the "most diplomatic"... but that doesn't mean people should expect him to always be A DIPLOMAT. He's not that. He's a person... an artist... They need to stop expecting him to be more than that. Sure he's going to speak out on things he cares about... but not on everything.
This! People are talking like him or BTS in general are some kind of diplomats and what not but they are and always been an Artists.

I love this description, that's my favourite kind of music. Feel-good music is great too, but there's something about music which explores other emotions that aren't necessarily sad but they're complex and textured and interesting that I find even more satisfying, it gives me a certain kind of energy.

He was more than just the group leader, he was their translator for everything. RM had to be the go between their group for everything including with their own company, and then what the government put on him there's a reason he says he is not a diplomate. Than just the pressure of being the leader of BTS, the man needs a vacation and a raise for what he has to do. It's a shame when going into the military might be a vacation for him. My thoughts not his. 💜

Ahh I love the contradiction duality of Namjoon. He releases Indigo and talks about his thoughts, art in the most polite way, like Wildflower. And then he releases RPWP and he tells you what he REALLY thinks in the most blunt way (Groin) and REALLY shows you his art. Good for him 💜

Namjoon's artistic journey is just incredible. Starting from the first mixtape no two songs in his discography sound the same. His versatility musically is amazing. I love this man

I love this album! What an absolute gem he has left us with. I'm so happy Namjoon took that extra year for himself to do work on this album and let go of some of that anger and frustration. Hopefully will help him during the coming year and let him come back with a new mindset where he don’t feel like he has to shoulder so much and can just be him, the fantastic, creative, sweet, genius man and artist that he is.
RM loves BTS music. He does not want to be the leader. He doesn't need to be. These are not kids he has to protect from the big bad music industry anymore. Many of them have excelled in leadership roles themselves in the army. If RM just wants to make music let him. Hes taken the lions share of responsibility for the hardest bit. They can hire translators to fill gaps. Share decision making. He can sit back and be one of the members now. Lets not pressure him back into a position that made him miserable. Thats not love.

@@yeizzycastro6303 He was already semi-fluent in English when they started. The others have worked hard and improved their English a lot, specifically to help him in interviews. Don't invent unnecessary narratives.
@@kimthv5learning the language is one thing but I sense the other members do not have the courage or perhaps do not want to get a chunk of the responsibility. Why rock their boats when they can concentrate on what they like to do and bask on the success. pity. I always pray for Namjoon's wellbeing. Oh and that prank on BTS or solo, that was CRUEL.

The RM/Jimin video sheds some light on his emotions beyond what I picked up at least. This was an immensely evocative album and I was floored once again by RM's talent and raw honesty. Sending lots of love to him and hope this work continues to aid him moving on his journey of healing. Borahae, RM.

People really criticise him for breathing it's ridiculous. No wonder he feels burnt out, it's been years with so many people hounding him, twisting everything he says in the worst possible way. It must be exhausting to feel like you can't go a single day without some new bullshit 'scandal', you can't say the most normal things without people finding a way to make it offensive, and you're not even allowed to defend yourself or people will attack even harder. Not to mention the enormous pressure to step up and give speeches on the world stage and be given this huge influence he didn't ask for. I'm so glad he found a way to let some of it out and say "leave me alone. Let me live. I'm just a regular person representing myself."

The funny thing about his," I ain't t no diplomat" comment is that the former President, Moon Jae In gave BTS Diplomatic passports prior to RM's first general assembly speach at the UN!The intent was also to allow them to attend major international meetings as a special presidential envoy for future generations and culture.😂
He ate down this album so bad trying hard not to loop but devouring every track love he goes & trues every different genre bending making his own things cant box that man he is his own league! ✨
Nuts reminds me of Tyler the creator, it kinda gives toxic relationship. Where he mentions gaslighting then at the end switches the flow to how he was after a breakup.

I suggest rewatching the Domadachi MV again, there was a lot of meaning and story behind the cinematography and character. All the MVs down to the lyrics that he released for this album all have a very deep meaning
