- I finally managed to destroy this boss, only took me 18 cups of coffee and a few hours.
This game is incredibly fun and it is only a demo so far so I know that there will be a lot more to do when it fully releases!

The big damage spell is thunder clap only when there are a bunch of enemies and you are close the the boss, because the lightning ricochets from all the enemies and back into the boss along side with double casting it makes it ricochet twice.
More than twice it is melee as well
@@ZergofImportance And Instant, so it was proccing five times at the end (base proc, + 1 Melee, + 1 Instant, + 1 Thunder, + 1 Instant).

man i've been playing and meteor shower has been OP for me. have literally nuked bosses down with one or two while also taking thngs that buff it up to that point. of course melee and stuff might actually cale differently with different heroes. i noticed in DF's game Meteor shower had MUCH lower damage than what i've been seeing.
DF: Takes Smite which heals him.
Also DF: Actively avoids standing wherever Smite is going off.

My heart ached when he didnt take the other melee skills, he could have been triple casting almost all of the skills right from the get go. Also, smite is a phenomenal source of healing, just gotta make sure you get in the circle when it goes off
This was before the patch if you had the upgrade were the melee would apply twice It would only apply to the skills you own now not the ones you would get later.

Thunder clap and lightning strike hit super hard, and if you have holy strike you can stand in it when it activates and gives you some heals.

DF the blue things are the "minor soulstones" that you get to level up your passive bonuses between rounds. Highly recommend upgrading the lower tree since one point in movement speed unlocks the ability to get Magnetism of like +120% passively at 5/5. EDIT: Shadow Bolt was "garbage" because you eliminated most things before Doom proc'd. Doom either deals a massive amount of damage when it goes off, or if the enemy is reduced to a current HP level below the total Doom stack, is instantly slain. Plus, you had no synergies with it but like four legendaries; one for Melee, two for Instants, and one for Thunder (pay attention to the TYPE of attacks that are modified, not which attacks you currently have; Slash got modified because it's Melee, and then it got modified because it is Instant, for the multi-hits). Freaking unreal luck, man.

This is him playing an older version of the game than the current one, but watching him ALMOST stay in smite long enough to get healed by it over and over again is so funny to me, lmao. (You can tell its older cause the XP bonus and pickup range buff were combined into one now)
I would advise trying to find the purple wizards because they are the ones barraging you with those purple things that you have to always dodge and it would be easier to stay in one place and deal massive damage without needing to move all the time
i love falling asleep to df’s vids. they come out at the perfect time and the voice and vibe are great as background noise for sleep
Love how he kept smite which had no synergy with the rest of his kit instead of taking something like poison bolt
It's always more satisfying when it takes more than a couple of episodes for DF to get overpowered like he wants to be :3
Man this demo updates so quickly that every video on it is surprisingly behind the curve, it's insane
This video was done like, right after the first one, because just a few hours after the first video the boss' spew of projectiles already had its marker updated from a line to a shotgun cone.
@@KainYusanagi not only that but the +XP perk got deprecated (the magnetism perk just comes with +XP gain now), they added a whole new damage perk that used to increase cooldown but now it decreases movespeed, AND they made all "Increase X for Category" apply to future weapon pickups
@@princequincy5421 That first one didn't come until a bit later, but yeah. The "increase X for category" already applied to future pickups; it's the level gained that didn't/doesn't (I just played some about half an hour ago and my levels didn't get affected, but just like yesterday the effects still got modified, be it damage or AoE or such)

This looks like a really fun game to play on the steam deck. My entire wishlist recently has been centered around the steamdeck, even though I'm still on the wait list lol

Smite did the big damage but has a large cooldown and doesn’t attack the boss often and it heals
Smite did basically nothing lmao. It barely out-damaged Lightning Strike, and that's only because it's a wide AoE that hits hard by default, and he was actively clumping up enemies to maximize AoE. It was Thunder Clap that was doing the big instantaneous damage, and when it triggered at the same time as Lightning Bolt, it wiped the screen, basically.

You should look at the tags of the skills. The legendary skills you get makes melee and instant skills get double cast. So a skill with melee and instant will get cast 3 times.

I like how these games with the Vampire Survivor theme which is a simplified rpg are literally just becoming full arpgs again.. next up, a game where enemies drop equippable items!
People went into the whole degenerate online postgame of D2 (which taught Blizzard all the wrong lessons by the way) because they wanted to just keep getting more and more powerful forever. I think ARPG devs are only now beginning to catch on.

DF, You should try a Void Build. Void instant kills enemies if it exceeds their max life on stacks. Eventually, you'll slaughter even Alexi on a singular hit.

Blue bubbles are the earned currency. Smite will heal you, but you have to be inside it's area when it triggers

the blue bubbles are the base currency. yes smite heals you, the caveat is you have to be IN the area of it when it finishes
Smite does heal you and your keep passing on the most OP skill "Meteor Shower" you get that with double cast and it clears the screen

I downloaded this game yesterday but only got to play it today. I LOVE how this game doesn't feel blatantly bullshit and pigeon-hole you into any particular build path to make plausible progress. Heck, it's so balanced that you can actually reasonably recover even from single digit health (I was at 4 health, lol) because as long as you keep moving and use your dashes reasonably intelligently, you can just keep circling around grabbing resources and (eventually) health gems. I beat the first map on my third try, used all the stuff I collected up to that point to level up the passive bonus tree a bunch and one-shot the second map. I'm basically set now to keep farming the first couple maps and screwing around trying different ways to do stuff to level up more stuff before I try the third map. I'm really eager to get this game when it fully releases!

@@nathannelson4464 As of right now, the demo version is free, yes. It has a LOT of features that are currently locked and will be available once the game fully releases. I would imagine it might go the Vampire Survivors route and probably be only a few bucks, though, when all is said and done.
In ALL of these types of games, increasing the level of attacks makes them different at level intervals

I think the big damage was the VoIP damage bc a void move applied a void effect that deals like 600-800damage per second for 5 sec

@@arrjay6860 I stumbled on it by accident once. If you can get your cooldown lowered it’s just constant meteor showers.
DF, those blue bubbles aren’t actually anything. It just shows when you pick up XP
The Meteor Shower is a REAL damage dealer for shure, and if you get past the SMite after a few seconds it will give you a little health

i have a build
Class SpellBreaker(warrior)-Weapon: Bloodgod's Legacy
go full bleed with this build with "Thrush", "Subdue", some thunder spell for 15-20% crit rate(prefer the instant melee one), "Ground Slam"(new spell that cause bleed and stun), the last slot can be Void for gatthering but i like "Blood Lust" for the theme
all of this move have the same class of spell so anything that buff one of em (beside the buff to lightning) buff everything
and if you wonder the blue thingy keep pop-up around ur character is... the blue gems you use to upgrade ur "skill tree"
the concept is easy every stack of bleed gave +1% crit rate so it already very strong with out any legendary buff but with some you can just stand in the boss butt and beat the shit out of it in 5-10s stack alot of crit prof(crit dmg)

I tried this game because of DF and loved but finished the demo in 6 hours waiting for the full game
I will probably get this game when it comes out also I think it'd be cool if there was a multiplayer mode like there's more than one person playing but the waves get harder Faster
If you stand inside the AOE when smite goes off, it will heal you a little bit. It’s much easier than relying on health crystals

Combustion is a pretty good skill if you begin to stack them early game. Since they are common, it’s not that tough and the damage is great

Oh wow! You picked up the doom this time, and I got to see some of the stuff that it combos with. My comment this time is that I think that your legendary upgrades apply to skills after you pick them up, but I’m not sure. So if you get one that doubles melee casts, if you pick up another melee it might cast that one twice too, right?

When it comes to your doubles casts you had, they buffed physical and instant, which all physical abilities would have benifitted from, all physical moves = win.
Ah, the thing with smite is that standing in the smite area when it goes off will heal you. It's ridiculously good, especially if you increase crit effectiveness, rate, and holy damage
