How much do you & friends usually save before a road trips since there are multiple payments(petrol,restaurants,mrchanics) which i assumed may not have those qr code/alipay/wechat payment. Go try Nurkan restaurant in Kashgar. One of the best attas in town but it's not that expensive for Singaporean. With your gang, maybe need to book in advance as it will get crowded. or you can go early

You only need a guide into China. Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & Laos are very straightforward.
