This is one of my favorite videos. I’m 31 & I started watching your magazine videos when I was 29. I I appreciate all of those retro ones because I feel like I was supposed to be born back in those times 😂😂. So those are my first faves. Second to those will always be anything you do with Bertha, because those brushing & spraying sounds with your voice are very relaxing. Now I’m introduced to these roller sounds, which I now love. Thank you so much.
Hi Jeannie, I can't believe I just discovered your channel! What you're doing is so amazing and so CALMING! I love to put your channel on my second screen while I paint or do graphic work. It really helped me focus more on what's good! I guess the universe has guided me to you, because your energy is exactly what I need! Really amazing work! Keep it up! The community you have gathered here is a blessing! So THANK YOU! Sonia :)
This is amazing and there’s nothing I like better than getting my hair done. Poor Bertha, the countess really did a number on her hopefully tonight’s pampering makes her feel less stressed.
I used to go with my mamaw every Friday morning when she got her hair washed and curled. This was the early /mid 80s and I will never forget the lady who owned the shop had a little area for coffee and my mamaw would make a cup of Taster’s Choice and a small decaf cup for me. Sometimes when they weren’t too busy one of the ladies would put me in her chair and French braid my hair. I lost my mamaw last September. Such good memories! ❤
This is superb asmr, up there with your magazine flip throughs.Even Bertha looks well chilled. The best of your channel is the very best asmr out there Jeannie❤
I've cut my own hair and regretted it! Lol! Oh, yes, and Sun-in. Some of my first "ASMR" experiences I had as a child was at the salon when my grandma had her "stand-in" appt for a wash, set and style (Wretha's Salon). I used to sit and listen to the low chatter of all the clients, the clicking sounds of rollers and my favorite, watching someone very slowly flip through a magazine.😴
One of my first asmr memories is almost the same, my mom and her friends doing each other's make up and hair, talking, flipping through magazines...best asmr ever . Such a cozy video , l love the background, it's like sitting next to you and watching how you are playing with Bertha 's hair ❤ Staying in bed and reading a book is definitely my thing .
The advice you gave about caring for each other was so so nice. My wife never really understood why I like ASMR but I told her I just love my hair and face being touched in any way, it's the same tingly feeling that calms me down. So now she does that more hehe and I give her back massages as often as I can. Work is hard, life is hard, it's just so natural to then be gentle with each other at home. I love your spark and your stories so much especially when some memories make you laugh a little haha, you are my go-to ASMRist in the soft spoken type ♥
Jeannie, you really are the very best! I hope you realize just how deeply we appreciate you and all the comfort, warmth and love you bring to the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏.

Hi Jeanie! I really enjoy listening to your posts. You're very captivating and pleasant to interact with rhetorically, especially when flipping through the vintage reading material. ❤😊
This video is great, Jeannie!! I love the stories along with you setting rollers in Bertha's hair. I am a hairstylist, I wanted to be one since I was 5 years old. I have such a fascination with hair. I got a laugh out of your poor husbands experience in getting his hair cut in Japan! Omg yes! Those home perms in the 70's would burn your nostril hairs right out of your nose. I loved this video, thank you. 💜🤗

My late mother used to cut me and my sister’s hair when we were kids in the 70’s. I had a fringe and she didn’t always cut it straight so I always looked funny in my school photos. We both had long hair then. I’ve also had hair disasters like a perm in the 80’s. I had short hair and I got it done before we went to the UK to meet my late father’s family. It was really curly but everyone was getting perms then. I was only 16 at the time and had to wait for it to grow out. As far as pampering goes, my daughter sometimes gives me a massage as I have lower back pain and then I return the favour and give her one. It really helps both of us relax and eases any pain. I do get professional massages done but as you said they are quite expensive even here in Australia. I have them more for therapeutic purposes as it’s good for my back as I have oesto arthritis in my spine. I don’t indulge in beauty treatments very often but do take time out for self care.

Jeannie, my grandma used to live on lake Conroe! We used to visit Fajita Jacks, if you know of it, and feed the catfish on the dock. She’s since moved east, but it was lovely to hear you reference it!
These stories made me smile. I think one of the passages of motherhood is the humbleness that comes after realizing you could not in fact cut your daughter's bangs better than the hairdresser could. Those moments are always funny to look back on.
Such a nice nurturing aamr video!! By the way, I absolutely love your hair. Just Gorgeous ❤ I did a silly thing with my hair when I was 14. I bought the Frost and Tip kit, didn't read the instructions at all. I put straight bleach on my hair, didn't even mix it. It wasn't happening fast enough for me, so I just kept dumping more and more on my hair. As a redhead, it just turned my bangs pee yellow. I remember begging my mom to let me stay home from school. It was hideous!! It took 4 or 5 trips to the Beauty Salon to fix it.
You’re fantastic Jeannie! 💝 I remember once when I was young I trimmed my eyebrow and ended up with a bald patch in the centre of my brow which took months to fill in. I cried for weeks and was too young to know about brow make up!! 😂😂😂
I was a teacher during COVID and one morning all I could hear from the classroom next door was screaming - the teacher in that room was doing “circle time” with her first graders via zoom and commented on a little girl’s haircut. The girl’s mom ran in the room losing her mind on zoom that in the time she set up the computer and zoom class starting, her 6-year old had chopped off her hair! The following year I moved to teaching first grade and two students chopped things the second day of school - 1 her pants and the other her hair. First graders and scissors are a dangerous combo!
What a sweet story about your dad putting you to bed! My dad used to do something similar but he cracked the code- he'd rub the forehead right between the eyes so we'd have to keep them shut 😅
TLC for me is sometimes staying in my pyjamas all day! I have a bad heart and only work part-time from home, so no-one knows if I'm in my pyjamas hehe. Thanks Jeannie, that was a lovely, relaxing video :o) When my youngest son was six, he had some homework to write about what he looked like. Well, he just cut off all of his fringe (bangs) and stuck it in his books with tape!
LOL I remember Sun-In. Used the blow dryer on it because it was heat not sunlight activated. Eventually went back to brown, but Sun-In was responsible for my blonde phase. Gotta love the 80's-90's.
When I was 5 years old, I got the brilliant idea that I could cut my own bangs since the hair was getting in my eyes. I took a pair of small scissors and cut my hair. My parents weren’t happy with me when they noticed, but my mom said that I did a pretty good job since she only had to do minor adjustments for it to look good😂
Again, sorry it's so out of focus...I haven't figured out the settings so that it doesn't auto-focus on one face only. But if someone had to have the good focus, I guess Bertha deserves it! 😁

When I was 5 years old, I got the brilliant idea that I could cut my own bangs since the hair was getting in my eyes. I took a pair of small scissors and cut my hair. My parents weren’t happy with me when they noticed, but my mom said that I did a pretty good job since she only had to do minor adjustments for it to look good😂
I love you Jeannie. Kindest woman ever!!🎉❤❤
