I’m a single Mum to a little girl with autism, my parents have her every Tuesday night so I can get some much needed rest. I am currently lay in the middle of the bed (a luxury as my little girl is usually sprawled out and I’m clinging to the edge of 😂) listening to this. The window is open and there is a lovely breeze and I can feel my eyes beginning to close. Bertha is from Spain . Her mom is of Spanish descent and her father is Greek so she is a mix of two of the most beautiful cultures . She enjoys dancing , cooking and poetry and is happily married to a man named Roberto also from Spain ❤

It's amazing when you get to meet someone you admire in person, because you often question "will they be as nice as they seem on the internet?" and Maria is as nice, sweet and loving as she seems ❤ so happy you both collabed !
Your wisdoms at the end were eye-opening. I've been a negative nelly and just drifting from day to day judging, hating, getting riled up by some news or statements I read. While I know I have that supportive, empathetic side too. It can get muted by the former. I'm in chemotherapy now for a very treatable, localized cancer and it takes me to dark places mentally and physically at times. But there is always room for choosing. Do we strive to see and do the utmost positive to ourselves and to others in any given situation or do we see the negative in everything. It's harder sometimes but never impossible. Thank you, Jeannie.

I wish my mum was as close to me as you are with your sons and gave me such wise, loving advice. I've lived my whole life wondering: do my parents really love me? care for me? or are they just people who have lived with me and taken care of me only because the law obliged them to? do people that hurt you love you? is love pain, does love hurt, does love bring you torrential pain? at 21, I'm aware I'll take those questions to my grave. I'll never get answers and i don't wish that upon ANYONE, truly. not even to the evilest person. I'm saying this to you to thank you for being so loving and inspiring, and because i think you don't really understand the positive impact you have on people! 🩷 you make people SMILE and feel loved and safe. "I'm still standing, my son's still standing, so are you" thank you Jeannie. thank you for being that 'mum' I've never had. thank you for giving out LOVE. i'm giving it all back to you (and everyone reading) multiplied!

I am one of those that finds comfort with these videos when I am awake at night with all of my thoughts and anxiety. I don't know if I have had a good nights sleep in the last 10 months since my husband's DX, even though he is doing well right now. I am working through my thoughts with a support group and counselor but it is taking time. Even if they don't help me sleep, they are comforting to me and I thank you for that. I am glad your son is okay and it wasn't worse than it was. Thank you again for your videos❤💜❤

That part about changing the tapes in your mind, not letting your past be the one driving you, literally made me burst into tears (in a good, refreshing way) while trying to fall asleep. I'm dealing with a lot of mental and physical stuff, some of which has to do with my past, and a lot of which has to do with anxiety and getting stuck with that one "tape," and your advice really resonated with me. Thank you for sharing that, I'm going to keep it in mind. 💖

So sorry to hear what you have been through with your sons accident, i know what it is like to be in fight or flight mode involving your son and not be able to act on it. You have helped me so much with your grace, wisdom and strength in my situation and i expect many others too, so you are definately helping to heal a lot of us, Thankyou! Jeannie I loved Berthas transformation today. I am so saddened to hear about the loss of your son I am so so sorry….😞 I don’t know what to say. I’m not sure how long ago it was but it doesn’t matter because you never get over it. 😢❤Then to hear your other son thankfully survived A tragic accident. Thank God for that miracle❤❤❤You know I listen to you for peace of mind I almost lost my mom last week I got “that call” from my son saying get here now she was unconscious and not breathing I think I went through 1 million red lights. She lives in another state though we are only about 15 mins. away the EMTs were there and they got there quick enough. Thank God. I couldn’t have ever gotten my brothers there quick enough. Of course, she refused to go to the hospital and had to sign a release because they said her problem could end in death and she was fine with staying at home….she has all her wits about her so there was nothing I could do and my son was there and he signed it because he was the one that made the 911Call. I would not have signed it. She was calling me a pain in the neck to the EMTs.( at that point I figured she is ok)She was frightened because she just lost her sister two months ago. Adamant about I don’t want go to the hospital. You saw what happened to your aunt. My Son❤️ is struggling as well, so I’m always never fully sleeping because I’m worried every moment of every second of the day that I’m going to get a call.❤ I hope this wasn’t a practice run. I know my mom will be 94 in a couple months but I still have troubling sleeping….with my son struggling is also another major issue. Thank you for all you do truthfully You will never know how much you help ❤❤❤even if I watch you during the day and I’m not sleeping it brings me peace to take my mind off of what I’m worrying about on a regular basis,I take care of somebody else struggling with liver cancer and I have to worry about getting on a plane with that situation. At almost notice I I’m not too keen on planes since I’ve been sick myself. I have some kind of systemic parasite thing. I’m not sure what it is. That’s causing a rash all over my face so I’ve been on medication for months antibiotics it is clearing, but it’s just taking forever, the rash is coming from the internal issues. I wonder why I would have a rash lol from internal issues with everything I have to think about it every single moment of every day.
I just wanted to thank you and thank you so much. I know this is rambling rabbit hole story but I guess you’re talk today I could understand and empathize with you when you mentioned your family. I hope everything works out well and I’m sure it will ❤thank you and much love.❤❤❤❤Esme

Thank heaven your son was safe. That must have been so frightening having to wait to hear if he was ok. So true, he still has life to live and much to contribute. (My husband has experienced those winds driving through Wyoming-not fun!) Thank you for sharing the roses and thorns of your life, it helps all of us to get through “our stuff” and know we are not alone in our fears (and joys 😊)

I've been told I have "resting nice face" and sometimes that's just as bad. You wouldn't believe how many complete strangers just walk up to me chatting away like we're old friends 😂

I have always had this face that looks like I have received bad news( even when I'm perfectly happy inside) people would often say " oh cheer up" or " Why the long face?" but I was cheerful but my face just hadn't got the memo lol😂

The artists who repaint dolls use acetone to remove the paint that comes on them. I wish I’d known that as a kid so I could give all my dolls the countess makeover. 😂

Jeannie, thank you for posting this today. Ive been so stressed lately and my life feels like it's falling apart. I'm a grad student, and finals are coming up. I stopped being friends with my best friend because she's dating someone dangerous that has been a threat to me. The guy friend I have romantic feelings for is going to buy a house with another girl and I'm heartbroke. Another guy friend recently relapsed after 2 years sober. My ptsd nightmares have been more frequent again. No one seems to have time to sit and talk to me about this. My stepmother said she'd call back to talk on sunday but she never did. None of my other friends have time to talk long cause they have their own lives. I’ve been feeling really sad, lonely and heartbroken. But your videos are a comfort to me. It's healing to listen to somone that could be my mom being soothing and reassuring. I know I'm rambling, sorry! But thank you. It does help during bad days.
You have a lot of stress and worry, for sure! What you must remember is that some things are out of your control, so worrying and stressing about them gets you nowhere. It doesn't change anything. Let go of what you CAN let go of - for your own sake. Sending you a big hug, dear Grace!

Let me tell you, God has put you in this place because you spoke some things that I have actually been feeling. Five years ago I was injured in a car accident that broke my left ankle and shattered my right heel and ended up with emergency surgery for both. I was 48 but still very active and life as I knew it changed in a moment. Through much physical therapy I have regained so much but it took a toll on my mental health as far as depression. I just couldn't shake it but was too embarrassed to say anything about it because after all it could have been MUCH worse and there are ones worse off than me. This year I started focusing on the positives more and little tiny victories such as stepping off a curb without assistance or bending down or even getting in and out of a bath tub. 😆 It's little things we take for granted until we have to relearn. Like you, I have started thinking about what I want to leave behind and making more of a positive impact on others and encourage more. I need to throw away my old tapes and get new. I love that!!! I absolutely Love the videos when you share your heart and wise wisdom. You are special. Oh yes, as far as kids go, I have three grown. My "baby girl" is 23 and my oldest son is 30. I thought in my younger years the worry would be easier when they were grown but I have found the worry never goes away. haha, Sorry for the storybook comment but I just wanted you to know how special you are to many of us.

I am trying to relax my face and always have to remember to move my lips upward to not look like I have a RBF (what people like to call a “resting b&$#% face”) because I may come off unapproachable but I’m reality I’m just wanting to relax and/ or deep in thought 😭😂 I understand your dilemma complétely.
