Hi ! I have a very smaller machine built by myself, and start to mill that sort of things. But I'm happy to see that I've discoverd by myself some of your tips (like for keeping the Z reference). Nice job, congrats !
Roger Webb nice video.and nice work. Our machine can do same like this. We manufacture cnc router and laser cutting machine. Please contact me, E-mail: jc_cnclaser@163.com We can cooperate very well :)
I love watching these. My only suggestion is to edit out the sound of the machines because they are really loud and I have to adjust volume when you speak. But aside from that, its a great video and the piece turned out really nice :)
Thank you for sharing your amazing work. I also have a small 3 axis but a much smaller one. I was worried that resolution would drop off as the contour changes from horizontal to vertical.. but I see its of no concern.
I bought a DIYCNC router in hopes to cut copper plates for a project I am doing.. spent all that money and it couldn't do it. barely cut wood.. The NEMA 17s would go off kilter and I burned thru 2 of their crappy 1 amp spindles.. Went to Lowes and bought a 6 amp ZIP IT cutter and use it as a spindle.. Works great. Jerry rigged it to my Z axis so I could cut a spindle holder for it.. Used some aluminum Angle bars to reinforce it. It looks like poop, but works.. But those 17s would not do the job they needed to do. And their program they gave sucked to run it all. Stepped up to Mach 3 with an UC100. Bought NEMA 23 KIT from eBAY. Stepped up to a much much more powerful computer than what I was using.. Had an all in one touch screen.. Too weak. Had just a 1.3 Ghz processor, 4 GB of ram tho. But used only 512 Mhz towards video.. Now got a 4 Ghz processor, 12 GB of ram with a 4 GB video card.. Water cooled with LEDs.. Ya.. Had to have them. Doing my first run now with it all. uploading a video right now to TH-cam. I plan to build a new frame and make a larger cnc with the equipment I have. soon.. soon.. I have been watching your videos for a while Roger Webb. You are inspiring. I'd love to get that G code for those Images.. OR the CAD program.. So I can scale it and make the G code myself. Love those patterns and designs.. Did you make those or is there a place to download those? .. Thanks..
ghodd100 - Hi Mr. Roger I am from Iraq my Email walwefy@gmail.com , I won't to buy one machine, Please inform me about it every think price, price of shipping to Iraq, its software, how it works, anything I can work on it , or any other information, to work at home, with my sincere thanks and appreciation Wafaa M. Zaki Iraq / Baghdad
Congratulations !. It would be very interesting and practical, find ways to adapt a vacuum type device, which was right next to the router so that the wood residue is deposited.
Hi, hold on, on purchasing a CNC machine. I will be making some exciting news announcements in my next videos. Basically, I am opening a factory up to produce “will made and designed” CNC router and milling machines and full conversion kits. Roger Clyde Webb inventor Australia 14/05/2016
Hi Roger love your work and watching how you creating things out of wood from scratch. i was just wondering why don't you do a segment on affordable machines for beginners as some your subscribers who would like to get in to this hobby may not have several thousands pounds/dollars etc to spend on a cnc router like the one's that you use or recommend in your videos. keep up the great work and be safe.
Hi there! Looks wonderful. I haven't watched the full vid, sorry, but, how do you input such a 3D model/shape into the router? What are the formats that one may use for this? Thanks!
Roger, as we are advised to use router cutters in a clockwise direction to have the timber going against the cutting edge, is a cnc tool manufactured differently due to it being used multi-directionally?
it is very nice, Mr. Roger, my question is what company did you buy this equipment & how much does it cost you,.?? what are the intricate arts can this machine carve,.. it is amazing how the contour are followed by computer,. it is so beautiful,..
Really like the capabilities of the 6090 but I'm concerned and aprehensive due to one of your videos where you said the wiring may be inferior to other manufacturers.. so what other modifications are necessary in order for me to duplicate some of your works.
Knowing nothing of CNC machines, I'm left wondering if you could zero Z-axis by holding the new router bits tip on the reference height point, lower the cnc machine on it and simply attach the bit there. Guaranteed to be level at 0-height with minimal fuss. Not that the paper trick is much work either, but if you're doing this a lot, it could save you some time.
Hello. I have a question to you. for example, I want my CNC to cut a square, I'm using ArtCAM 2008. When I sent a drawing I cut out a square round the corner three. only the starting point is going to cut sharp corners. What could be the reason. Thank you.
What kind of tolerance and accuracy is needed to produce a quality 3D carving? Is you CNC built for precision metal work and you are using it for woodworking? Also what is this CNC's accuracy and tolerance like? Is this CNC carving in true 3D or 2.5D?
I maybe too late on commenting. But that rotten part of the wood should not be removed, coz it what gives the wood character. Nice vid man, hope to build a cnc router one of this days. By the way what CAM software do you use.
Hi, I'm a high school student attending classes at a technical skill center. The class is called "ENGINEERING DESIGN, PROTOTYPE AND PRODUCTION" and we have one of these CNC Machines available to us. Some of us were shown how to like cut out a shape or write our names on a piece of plywood, but how would I go about learning to do something like this in 3D. I'm very interested.
hope you answe back i emailed you about the price of your machines but have not heard from you i am lookin at 3 different machines now and would like to consider yours in the mix so plz answer me back thx Michael
Roger Lord, goodnight. I would like you to help me, I'm making a 3D woodworking cnc router, I have three servo motors NEMA34 4Nm, 24000 2.2kW spindle. but I stand not knowing which diameters for fusos spheres with advance 5mm X, Y, Z, because like a lot of the speed of your machine. so I would like a suggestion to the diameters of X, Y, Z. thank you very much and I hope for your reply
I like your 3D Relief sir the roughing and finishing. How to join your group i really want to improved my skills like cnc please could you help me and i have youtube channel
@@rogerwebb9600 yes i need more watching from your videos to learn more idea. i have some video to my youtube channel RMA Graphics Life wood carving of Table Name Plate but not totally pretty good unlike your 3D Relief Carving and i am glad that i have learned from your videos you shared to us thank you so much. hopefully you will watch also my video and you can correct it what are wrong or maybe you can give me some strategy how to make and use the tool path easy and past result.
I didn't really know what CNC was until I saw this. That's a nice horse.
I would just like to comment that it is absolutely amazing just how far humans and machines have come. Very nice work, sky's the limit...
Hi Roger your work is excellent I love watching you creating things out of wood from scratch keep up the great work and be safe and well bud.
simply beautiful
The start of the cutting was so satisfying, does anyone else agree?
Can I drive my neighbors mad with one of these machines running all day... 👍
Absolutely
Some very intuitive videos Roger.
It looks Amazing !!! Congrats , Mr Roger
Good work. Great result!
Thanks Steve
ohhhhhh man, well done, sir

Good job man you are very good 👏👏👏
I love your videos and I would love a cnc as big as you have but I’m learning and the work bed is like a beginner size for a small board....
A really nice piece of 3D wooden work ! Great.

It does not look like Roger Webb is interested in answering questions :o(
Should that not be :"WELL made"?

"will made" or "well made", not like they are building anything to technical tolerances, what's a typo among ferinds?

Hello Roger, Thank for all your tutorials they are very helpful. Just a quick question what is your reference to what tool you use for each cut.
looks better with the 3 edges :)
Hello Roger! Love your videos! Would you share who made your spindle? Thank you!
Excellent !
It's a great education demo. But what it involves if one could transform such a project into a commercial venture. Is it worth the try?
How do your use tool for finish surface ? Thank
