    I put eibachs on my octane red 6mt and it's a must have. Pain to install without a lift but worth it. However with all 4 corners at 305s, the car feels like it searches on rough pavement.

    Thanks for the how to. How did the alignment go, were you able to get it adjusted to factory specs in the rear with the bushings and the front?

  • @El_Grande_Jefe
    @El_Grande_Jefe 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    why did you have to use cam bushings and how do you know if you need to do that? My problem is this video is all over using these and people talking about having to replace control arms, camders?, and their alignment being screwed up. All is just a drop and inch or so.

    So you don’t need the spring compressor tool to get the hat on with the new springs?

    i noticed you only installed the rear camber bushings in the back and not adjustable control arms in the front. when you got an alignment were you able to get the front within spec?

      That’s the only downside of going with the sport line instead of the proline, they don’t drop as much. But I went with a bigger tire in the rear after time and liked the look of a little rake.

  • @royramos6272

    So I just lowered my wide body 2019 challenger the same way you did. Did you ever have to add adjustable A arms to adjust the camber in the front? I can’t get my alignment right.

    • @speedfreaksperformance
      @speedfreaksperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine sits with negative camber, but yes you could do front upper control arms to help get it back in spec.

  • @daggertherapy3522

    I know a lot of people use adjustable upper control arms.

    How long does it take for the springs to settle? After they settle, what is the gap between the tire and fender in the front and rear ? Do you have any trouble with the tires rubbing on a hard launch? I am debating between the pro line and the sport line.

    Did you have inconsistent hieght mesurements when done? I did. Passenger rear suts quarter inch lower than drive side.

    • @speedfreaksperformance
      @speedfreaksperformance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine sat level. Did you make sure the spring was rotated so it sat in the same spot as the factory spring?

    • @fredwilliams7893
      @fredwilliams7893 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@speedfreaksperformance yes made sure in the isolator aswell. Just passenger side wheel is half inch lower than driver i was told this might be normal due to the wieght of driver making a difference. Both wheels up front are same hieght!

    Do u really have to disconnect battery for spring replacement??

    • @speedfreaksperformance
      @speedfreaksperformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I chose to because of the active suspension. Had to unplug the harness so just wanted to be safe about it, that way it didn’t cause any issues.

    Great video. After the springs settle, what is the wheel gap front and back? Trying to decide between sport line and proline.

    • @speedfreaksperformance
      @speedfreaksperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can get you some measurements...honestly I happened to have these sportlines laying around at the time so decided to just use them. The proline deff sit lower than the sport line. The fronts sit pretty much the same but the back sits higher, has a little bit of rake which I personally like on the car.

    • @danieljohn4603
      @danieljohn4603 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Speed Freaks Performance I think you have that backwards? The website says that the sports line have a larger drop. The proline is like an inch and the sport line is around 2 inches. I also have a widebody, and I wanted to see what the drop is. If you could measure it, that would be awesome !!!

  • @mikeholley4488
    @mikeholley4488 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i was scared it would change the 3 way dampeners. can you still tell the difference between street, sport and track modes. if the answer is yes then my springs and camber bushings are OTW.

    • @speedfreaksperformance
      @speedfreaksperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can still feel a difference, I would suggest getting adjustable upper control arms for the front to take out some of the negative camber. All in all, it has a slightly stiffer feel, like being in sport mode all the time. I personally like the stiffer feel.

    How many miles were on the car before you installed the Eibachs? I'm asking because I talked to the service manager at a local Dodge dealership about installing a set of Mopar lowering springs on the Widebody Scat Pack I'm ordering. He recommended that I hold off for a while because, according to him, it takes about 5,000 miles for the OE springs to settle down.

    • @Reality2016

      Mopar don’t have lowering springs which is so damm dumb

    Did you need to add any kit to prevent a negative rear camber?

    • @speedfreaksperformance
      @speedfreaksperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      EbenTv you can either do camber bushings, or adjustable upper control arms

    • @Eben18
      @Eben18 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@speedfreaksperformance Which is the cheapest option and what will you recommend?

    • @speedfreaksperformance
      @speedfreaksperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      EbenTv with the bushings you get 1.5+/- so your limited to how much you can adjust...it is the cheaper alternative but if you really want to have more adjustment the upper control arm is the way to go.

    • @Eben18
      @Eben18 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Speed Freaks Performance which ones did you use for your rear wheels

    • @speedfreaksperformance
      @speedfreaksperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      EbenTv I used eibach bushings. And with these springs I did 1.5+ on the bushing and it sits with a slight camber still but livable.
