I see many Nagas especially men with potbelly’s. They are eating more calories than their body can burn. Nutrition is very important but also need to learn calorie intakes. Those with potbelly’s are in higher risk for cardiovascular disease, diabetes & cancer. Balanced meals, portion control & calories consumed per day are a must for healthy living & longevity. Going to a gym might not be an option for many but can do simple abdominal exercise to strengthen the core muscle of the abs to burn those calories. We are losing so many talented ones to preventable illness.

Appreciate the message but we must also educate the people regarding negative health affects of fruits and vegetables from market which are mostly chemically produced. We must encourage Organic production and consumption.
We nagas need to normalise eating healthy and having a balanced diet. We consume too much rice and meat and other local ingredients thinking its healthy without knowing if it does more harm or good. We're all educated people now and it is our job to do research on what we consume and educate our parents too since they're fixated on the idea that eating lots rice and meat is the healthy way of life. Most of the local ingredients that we use haven't been scientifically approved and we're just consuming them based on sayings and beliefs. Do not compromise on health, rather make it a priority.
