    I love rover 110R as a street wheel for grip as our roads are torn up badly and rough. Sand dune steep roads and wet. They have killer wet grip and yes a softer ride than hydros and where I live the slight size difference does help. The foam inside of discoveries and rovers is not used in hydros. Also. I found your style of video making hilarious and fun. Way better than the much more elaborate stuff. I hope it stays real guys!

    Why do they always say the max speed rating is 24mph on all the cloud wheels? I’ve had my discovery’s up to 38 before 😂

      Because they don't want to be liable when they delaminate at high speeds.

    That white deck though 🤩
    Great comparisons to the 105s and Hydros.
    This was a fun watch, havin different things goin on feels more dynamic - not sure what the general audience prefers though, I'd be interested to see how it goes.

    I heard somewhere that the 110 Rovers have the dampening core where the 100 Hydro Wheels don't have it. So maybe since the 110s are softer that makes them harder to slide with? I haven't been able to slide my hydros though so take that into consideration.

    Hey what’s up! Something that I found was that I was able to drift my 190mm wheels on my Meepo hurricane super well when I wore down the tread on the tires. So maybe drifting is going to be easier with tires that are bigger and more worn in general in terms of tread. I hope this is helpful in looking for the best tires to drift :) Unfortunately the rubber of these wore super fast though, so I think a bigger tubeless pneumatic style wheel may be the best.

      another note, I think having more weight in the back of the board will help in general with rotation and control.

    Hi, will the rover 110mm affecting the range? by how many percentage?
    Boosted soft wheel 105mm vs Rover 110mm. Which one is better for your opinion?

    Thanks for the review. Since you asked, here are my thoughts about the format. I guess that depends on analytics, but I would have preferred a more varied test. I felt like most of it was watching guys cruise around a gas station. Which is fine, but wish that you would have thrown in a couple of more locations. Also, if the manufacturer makes it available, I would have liked to hear their take on a comparison with the Hydros. What was their design philosophy with the new Rovers? You may have to request a call with the engineer or the designer, but that would have been great for your video rather than guessing. They owe you that. You are their free marketing team, so be persistent in asking for it. Otherwise, I like your style and delivery and will keep watching.

    I haven't tried these but in theory they should feel softer than Hydros because of that Cloudwheel foam core. Tho tbh, I feel the softness of Cloudwheels comes more from their size and rounded contact patch than their foam core design. I.e., if you make a 105mm or 120mm PU wheel without that foam core, and make the contact patch rounded, and have the same durometer, I suspect they'd feel about the same as Cloudwheels. I could be wrong! So these compared to regular Hydros... I'm kind of curious about the difference as well.

    • @JackHasWifi

      So the Rovers and Hydros have the same exact tread and rubber outing, but for some reason the Rovers are nearly as grippy as MAD Wheels while the hydros slide nearly as good as actual sliding wheels. Not sure if the rubbers are different formulas, or if it’s somehow size related. Tbh, I don’t know much about durometers or things like that, but the wheels are very identical in their structure. Which makes me more confused in how the wheels give bipolar opposite grips

    • @gnrriffs
      @gnrriffs ปีที่แล้ว

      No they do not feel the same i have rough stuff wheels ( cloudwheels No foam in ) and they are hard feeling and not as grippy. The new rovers go to a flat profile when you put weight on un like cloudwheel that keeps a small contact patch.

    • @DanielKwan
      @DanielKwan ปีที่แล้ว

      I forgot the hydro wheels have a larger core, so there’s less urethane to deform and grip the road.

    Do they grip better on wet roads than the regular cloud wheels?

    • @JackHasWifi
      @JackHasWifi  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Most definitely, they have the same anti-slip design as the hydros in terms of water distribution. Just seems the type of rubber makes it grip more on dry surfaces too. But also, almost anything will grip better on wet roads than normal cloudwheels😅
