    i wanna get these so bad they look cool as hell and i like that they're still above 100mm but not like 120mm or bigger. Like the tread on them . Definitely gotta order a set to replace my 120mm since those are beat up

    • @DrewElia
      @DrewElia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree the 110 size is a very good “every day purpose” size you’re not all terrain status but not low street wheel

    The difference in price from the 105mm cloudwheels and these is about $100AUD, are the rovers worth it (especially in comfort) if I don't ride in the wet at all?

    • @DrewElia
      @DrewElia  ปีที่แล้ว

      The rubber on these wheels is much gripper than the 105 series, it instills more confidence overall. The comfort as well is great, it’s a hard wheel, but compared to a street wheel it’s much more smoother over rougher roads

    They look great! I'm looking at these as an option for my Lycaon GR2021 since the OEM wheels are a bit rough to me and vibrations from the roads in my area are terrible! Hopefully these will improve my riding comfort...? Great video as usual!

      @@TheSpiral01 for me, anything larger than 105-110mm and you lose some serious overall battery range, motors have to work harder, plus stopping distances are quite reduced with my 120mm Cloudwheel Donuts

  • @LarsLarsen77

    You don't need tread on a skateboard wheel, it's not physically possible to hydroplane because there is no air in the tire. Hydroplaning happens when the pressure of the water trying to get out of the way of the tire exceeds the air pressure inside the tire. Because bicycle tires have a smaller contact patch and higher air pressure than car tires they're incapable of hydroplaning, and a urethane wheel has NO air, so it's going to require even more pressure to lift the tire away from the road surface.

    • @DrewElia
      @DrewElia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Try riding a flat urethane wheel in the rain and see if you slip, let me know when you do.

    Great review! What is the comfort and feel comparison to the Meepo Cyclones?

    • @DrewElia
      @DrewElia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So, the cycles are ALL rubber, they are super squishy, these have more of a street wheel feel with AT grip, the rubber tread pattern gives you confidence in the grip and the dampening core gives you the comfort of going over cracks and going off road even

    • @DrewElia
      @DrewElia  ปีที่แล้ว

      So, they really aren’t designed to slip, these are rubber outside with the dampening core inside. If you slide these I wouldn’t recommend them, I’d go with something that is more of a actual urethane style wheel

    How do they compare to the 115mm rubbers for ride and given there's very little tread how does the rubber tread hold up?

    • @DrewElia
