Your pieces always inspire me to make music myself.
These "As Noted" videos are gold!
🙏
Kristin's call and response at 2:50 always sounds like the chirps the characters make to each other!
I can see myself climbing towards the top of the golden hill, not knowing what awaits. The tension builds as I meet the brow. I slowly reach the precipice and I am greeted by a sea of glimmering sand and a tower of comforting light. A light which continues to call me with its beacon of hope. I don't know why it's calling me, but I know I must see it through.
This takes me right back to that moment, this is simply beautiful. Thank you.
Your music is beautiful. I listened "Apotheosis" some time ago and kept it with me since. It's a very special piece for me. I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel.
I love how Tina, Kristin, the London Voices Choir, and the LSO all have their own respective moments to shine in this section, and in the Symphony as a whole. Everyone is given an important part to play, and they all play wonderfully!
Fantastic in so many ways. My genuine appreciation, Mr. Wintory.
The harmonics at 1:54 is rewarded a *chefs kiss* every time...
Log drums?!
Log drums.
Its very interesting how you adapted synth stuff for the orchestra. These As Noted videos are very interesting. Thank you.
This is amazing friend.
YOU'RE an amazing friend
Love how the Solo Cello is noted as Tina ahahah
Great job as always Austin and thank you for the insight and for sharing your process with us!
Always! And thank you! :)
Did I ever tell you that I bought the game just because of your music? Well: I did!
If you don't mind a little bit of over-sharing: I'm in a particularly difficult part of life right now, and my love for music has taken a beating. I hope you don't mind my saying that these LSO-performed pieces are re-building that bridge a little for me.
I never played Journey myself. My entry point for your music was Abzu, of which I'm still very fond. But what I'm hearing here of Journey's score... I can see why it's so beloved!
I'm sorry to hear you're life is in a difficult spot right now. It's seemingly never easy. But I'm grateful and immensely honored to help out a little through these works. I hope they provide some semblance of comfort
@@awintory Thank you, that's very kind of you! So long as we don't give up, there's always a way forward!
Music is a powerful thing!
Huge fan of your aleatoric writing! That textural crescendo in the first minute is indescribably beautiful...
This is one of the cues I really wish I could re-experience as a first time player in the game. That intro though in a re-orchestrated-recording def comes close on first listen.
Lovely music.
When I listen to journey its like having a sensation of déjà-vu. When I hear this melody,I hear the twilight zone, I hear game of death and beyond I hear dies irae.
Soo lovely, just beautiful. Gorgeous painting at the end too :)
I started reading your notes, then accidentally got swept away in the music and completely forgot to keep reading... Oh well, let's try this again...
💙💙💙
Gorgeous.
Wow so amazing and soothing🤩 thankyou so much 🙏
How would you rate your conducting skills Austin? Did you have a teacher? It's very rare to see composers orchestrate and conduct their own music these days
