    Answer for your question: when an inert gas to a hydrocarbon gas mixture, the result is to increase the LFL hydrocarbon concentration and to decrease the UFL concentration.

    with displacement hydrocarbons came from cargoes line wich position on the bottom of the tank not from PV valves

    Hello sir do you have video for fuel and air ratio in boiler for good IG production? How will you mix air and fuel in different load... If the oxygen analizer is reading higher value what will you do?

    Sir then which method is used on board dilution or displacement.?

    • @SailorVikas
      @SailorVikas  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mostly dilution is used as it includes high velocity

    What's the difference between hc gas & netrogen gas on tanker?

  • @astlefernandes1429
    @astlefernandes1429 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sir I got it very gud video sir have one doubt .sir both dilution n displacement method is same only pressure is difference it's the tank pressure ya ig line pressure most of chief officer which I have sailed open tank dome to exit ig so they maintain line pressure if more tanks maximum 3tanks they maintain line pressure 50-70bar in between ??tank pressure is calculated??

    • @SailorVikas
      @SailorVikas  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't got your question bro

      @@SailorVikas sir my doubt was in dilution n displacement method is same only matters the pressure of ig ??wen we put ig in tank it matters tank pressure ya ig line pressure chief officer sailed with me they open tank dome according to that they maintain line pressure n they set the pressure if 3tanks purging is done they keep the ig line pressure around 50-70 ??

    Can fire occurs due to nitrogen purging ?

    • @SailorVikas
      @SailorVikas  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For a fire to occur it requires oxygen of more than 11% by volume , thus purging with nitrogen won't let fire to occur as pure nitrogen purging has zero oxygen percent.

    Sir one doubt I'm having is ..in flammability diagram CH Concentration decrease but O2 concentration increase but in definition it is said that ..inerting is reducing of O2 concentration.

    • @SailorVikas
      @SailorVikas  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how you are moving in the graph bro,,, however can u pls elaborate how you are comparing inerting with flammability diag ?
