Man what an amazing video. You guys are experts at trout and salmon fishing. If I may ask, what type of crankbait are you using or recommend for these fish? Is there a particular brand or size that these fish prefer? Can’t wait to see more content like this in the future. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment! These trout are a blast to catch. In this video, I caught one on a Squarebill crankbait (the Strike King KVD 1.5), and my buddy used a size 4 Spinner (Blue Fox Vibrax). In the harbors, I find that crankbaits diving 2-5 ft work well, but sometimes they’re feeding deeper, so it’s always worth trying a few that dive deeper. Hope this helps and happy fishing!
@@austinkroosthank you SO much bro. I really value this info. So far I’ve mainly been catching browns and steelheads drifting beads and spawn sacs in the winter months but I’m very intrigued by the idea that you can cast stuff like spinners and crank baits and basically catch them in a similar fashion to bass/walleye out in the harbors. Thanks again for the info. Looking forward to future content!
@Vse_yob Glad you found it helpful! Winter techniques like beads and spawn sacs are solid, but casting spinners and cranks can be a fun change-up, especially when they’re active in the harbors. Appreciate the support - more content coming soon! 🎣
