Nirvana made it into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame the first year they were eligible. Kiss had to wait 15 years after they were eligible, and even then, they didn't make it because they were such a great band, they made it in because their fans kept bugging the people at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Now Gene Simmons has never walked in Elvis' shoes and he can only ever dream of being 1% of the man & talent Elvis was. He truely will never be! And allthough i do enjoy Gene' interviews and hes a clever astute bussiness man, im very appalled and dissapointed at him in this clip. We all are going to die and knowone knows when or where, the fact that Elvis died in his bathroom doesnt give anyone reason to make fun of that, i dont care who you are, and Gene was very disrespectful! What a 100 carat insensitive foolish thing to say! let alone publically say it! Elvis left a legacy that will go on forever! Gene hated nirvana because they brought back thinking music and helped killed the stripper rock. Plus kiss ripped off Alice Cooper who started performing 1969. Kiss didn’t invent metal the birth seed started on don’t worry about by Marty Robbins when a tube in the bass amp broke, then artists in acid rock started using that and Black Sabbath inspired by classical music made a heavier version with doom lyrics of it. Kiss has it’s place in music history but isn’t the center of it. Plus Elvis was still popular at the later years in his life, Kurt and Elvis died tragically, but in the words of Neil young. It's better to burn out than it is to rust.

The only thing Gene has ever done, that is greater than Elvis, is the number of days he has lived. Elvis has been dead for 47 years, and still has the love and respect, of billions of people. Gene is still alive, and even though he has fans, how many people have any love and respect for him, as a person? I'd like to see a side by side list, of all the things both of them have given to, and done for, their fans. Gene's done some charitable things for people, but how many of those things that he did, was done out of love for his fellow man, and not for publicity? If it had been up to Elvis, none of the gifts and charitable things he did for people, would we even know about today. The world will never know 1% of all the things Elvis did to help people, during his short life.

Come on, this same band that went disco cuz it was popular in late70s. Bottomline? Early-mid 1990s Alternative rock was just sooo good nothing could ever beat it. Here we are, 30 yesrs later and NOTHING has come close to Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, NIN, Tool, Janes Addiction, Deftones, STP, ect.... 30 years later all those bands I mentioned are still relevant and talked about ad timeles music. As KISS and 80s hair bands had forgettable music that has been mocked for over 30 years now
