The Lower East Side isn’t really dangerous, but most of the apartments there are not renovated and a bit run down. That apartment looks super nice for the LES. It does get very loud and crazy on Friday and Saturday nights, especially on Orchard and Ludlow with all the bars and clubs. The East Village above Houston is a bit calmer.
this is super helpful TY! figured most LES is pre-war buildings so we expected that, but didn't know streets around Ludlow got so loud on the weekends... appreciate this!
The "smallest oven in the world" is a standard sized oven in Europe 😃

Congrats! I’ve lived in the city my whole life. Just wanna let you know Queens is an amazing place to consider. Also please know, no where in NYC is really safe. There’s always gonna be a weirdo somewhere smh. All the best to you lovelies! ❤

I used to watch your channel like 4 years ago when I was a sophomore in high school to see how the college experience would be... unfortunately I couldn't do what I wanted to do with college, but I still love watching these types of videos. It reminds me of watching the old move-in videos... the vibes are immaculate!

Sounds like you need to move to Brooklyn! Not Williamsburg! You're not going to like it because you and your friend seem young but you should consider moving to Flatlands or outside of Sunset park! You both will have a commute to the city but it will be a necessary sacrifice. Otherwise, you will have to move to Queens. Like an hour outside of Manhattan on the E train or 20 min out on the LIRR.
Or Roosevelt island. Looking for a two bedroom in Manhattan with decent space for under 3k is a pipe dream.

It is most definitely a mistake from a financial perspective lol … but we also want to live while we’re young and have minimal responsibilities! Hope you can see where we’re coming from
A lot of New York City apartments are extremely small, substandard, and unnecessarily expensive.
Even so called "luxury apartments" are very small.
I know because I live in NYC.

My daughter is in Brooklyn & just renewed. There are 3 bedrooms in her place renting out for 100 less than your budget. Quiet & nice. Dont know if you found anything, but I'll sent the info if interested.

I suppose we could live together in NJ but I’d have to move into her parents house or she’d have to move into mine… or we could’ve bought an apartment somewhere in NJ but at that point we figured we might as well get an apartment where we both actually work & actually want to live (NYC)!
