    The Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Steve Kerr and Draymond Green were influential in many ways...and the new 2020 Miami Heat offense has its own South Beach Splash Brothers (Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson). This detailed film room analysis looks at Erik Spoelstra's offense and how Miami uses shooting, movement, and the passing of Bam Adebayo to supercharge their offense.

      @@Poopopotamusgaming how many series have we seen blowouts on one side in Game 1 and then quick overreactions from fans and pundits? You can't tell much from a single game, let alone from a single quarter. Boston blew out Toronto in Game 1, for example, and that series went to 7. Were they not playing well? It's called coaching and studying tape. Also, the Lakers' role players have been pretty bad at times and in Game 1 they were hitting everything.

Its really sad that the heat have some injuries to deal with. Idk if they've been listed as having injuries but that first game you could tell they had some ankles roll on a few players otherwise I really do think this would of been the best finals match up in a very long time. It's interesting to me that Miami is still one of the more capable defensive units despite this level of energy expenditure on offense. We saw pretty frequently with the Warriors how this style of offense that keeps everyone on the move can be detrimental on the other side of the ball. Either way, I love the post passing and focus on cutting to the rim for the easy looks. It's easy for me to see how James Harden could fit into an offense like this filling in as the primary ball handler and perimeter threat, especially given how talented he is in terms of finding the open man when drawing multiple defenders or driving to the basket. The loss of Goran and Herro would have been tough to accommodate, but it's a shame either way that they gave up on making that trade happen

    West team that want to advance to playoff next season, will be looking for bigs this off season. Lakers has proven 3 things this season, size do matter, teams can win without focused on 3s, and defense win chip.

      @dred9174 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Lakers won because they had two top 5 players if the rest of their team was worth anything they would have swept the Heat. Lakers fans would trade all their role players for Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson.

  • @sairam7669

    The only problem with this is, warriors(2014-2016) had shooters who can defend. Harrison barnes, klay thompson, draymond green(wasn’t this bad back then. He was shooting around 36 percent then), barbosa and of course the gravity of steph curry. And the best part is they actually had rim protectors in bogut and festus ezeli to make this work on defense. Its going to be impossible to replicate that against good defenses in the playoffs for other teams because Tyler herro and duncan Robinson cant defend. Now you saw lebron hunt for steph curry mismatch in the playoffs. But that can be covered for if hes the only player. Imagine there’s 2 of them on the floor. That is impossible to cover on the defensive end.

    • @sairam7669
      @sairam7669 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Without shooters who can defend. This system is never gonna work in the playoffs. Imagine if matisse thybulle can shoot 44 percent. People will be hunting for him lmao

    It's just about over, Miami Heat lost Game 2 of the NBA Finals last night. 😭😭😭
    Their two 3-point specialists must practice more on the defensive side of the ball. Miami tries to hide those 2 on the backline, whereas the traditional way is for the guards to be up top where the other 3 teammates can protect them.

    "But GSW thenselves are based on the old Spurs template, since Kerr used to be an Assistant Coach there."

      Kerr wasn't the assistant coach he was the announcer in the finals during the 13-14 season and he implemented their system when he became the rookie coach. He still played under popovich as a player.

    This offense strategy is only good for bad defense team, with no organized defense mindset, which are basically every teams now, except lakers. The importance of defense needs to be brought back.

  • @linhe6729

    They need to shoot more 3s, they got shooters but LA shot 20 more 3pointers than Heat did but heat shot 41% from 3 as a team while LA only shot 33% as a team from 3.....if Miami matched their attempts from 3 theyd have 24 extra points(40% of 20 more 3pt attempts) that's 24 points so they coulda won by 14 instead of losing by 10

      Lol you kidding me. The cuts will be more effective cause of the slow footed big men and the big men will also get into foul trouble being behind in the play lmao.
